Hey, thanks so much. I am just a noob at this, but my hope is to share our story that is entertaining or inspiring for others. The camera up top was an Insta 360 X2, I saw was because, like this trail, I tend to put it to its limits. Luckily I just bought a replacement. The road is not too bad if you're comfortable with off-road trails. There are a few long single-lane spots that would be crappy to back up. If it's been wet in Cali plan on there being some slick clay. As for our van, thank you, we love it and use it every week. Yes, there is some camping spot along an edge road along the river. Yes, I think you would be fine. The only thing to consider is if you got a bunch of rain the clay gets slick. But once again, you should be fine.

It's first come fist serve. No permit was required. You're supposed to pay a nightly use, but when we were there, we found no place to do so. It's an awesome place. If you have lots of rain like we had, there will be wet clay, but shouldn't be a big deal for a 4x4.

Yes, this was two weeks ago. The clay road was still pretty slick because they received a lot of rain, which Cali needed, but it made the drive a bit more of a challenge.
