Damn it Gaz you've done it again! This is fantastic content. Shaky camera work, convoluted voice over, questionable composition... and yet overflowing with enthusiasm, love for the synths, and an all around unbridled joy of music and creativity. You inspire us all. Keep up the great work!
Gaz Williams a gimbal is for when yoou are walking or moving. You do not have to move while focused on one spot. Tripods work. Amazon sells a great one that is vey adjustable. There are good holders for phones if you use your phone.
When Gaz wanted to tame things, you can press Shift and one of the four part buttons to pause the modulation for that part. Or Shift All to pause all of the modulations.
Bioni Samp I have a tripod but I used an Osmo Gimbal stabiliser thinking that it would be cool to get tight closeups but I was horrified how shaky it was watching it back. Sympathies to everyone who manages to put up with it!
I was fortunate enough to get one of these as part of the kickstarter and although I have yet to dig deep in to the modulations it's proving to be a terrific device. Interestingly mine is currently setup with DM12 for pad, Streichfett as the drone, Neutron for Motif 1 and Model D/Blofeld for Motif 2. Great video Gaz, leant alot and has inspired me to dig deeper. Mine is blue BTW. Thanks. David
What a great name. For so many people noodling is where the fun is. No serious organization, no long hours of editting, and perfecting. Not that there is anything wrong with being perfect, but the most important thing in life is fun, and noodling is fun. If it isnt fun then why the h...l would you do it.
Really beautiful explanation of NDLR thank you! I’m really new at using synth and dawless gears and I’m still learning about it. I will try to incorporate it with guitar on live performances. On your video NDLR has 4 midi and how you connect all the synth to NdLR? In my case, I want to go DAWless. How can I use it along with Roland TR6S and Sonicware Liven Ambient Ø? What is the best way to integrate these 3 devices to create music? How to sync them all? Thank you
Already ordered, this does so many things that i've been looking for in hardware and software and finally someone has put all in one package and keeps it all in key and sounding musical rather than a mess. Lucky Gaz has been raving about this which was the first I knew about it and I managed to get on the indigogo for the Jan 2019 (hopefully) delivery :-)... really looking forward to getting this, it will be great for live work.
Mine arrived here in Isle of Man from US this morning and was far quicker than expected. It’s fantastic and thanks for the heads up Gaz or I’d never have heard of it! Booking a couple of days holiday to NDL.👍🏻
at 25:56 when that arp starts on the Striechfett it sounds like we are getting in to prog organ territory and channelling a bit of Keith Emmerson..........great
I can never understand people that put thumbs down for people trying to share knowledge, so far there are 37 very important people that thumbs down, maybe Gaz should listen to them and just quit Jeez. Gaz, you are quirky and wonderful:)
Really nice - thank you. Out of interest, do you use logic audio...I recently got a NDLR and I am trying to make it work with the soft synths in logic audio, i load 4 soft synths, each set to a different midi channel but when i try to use the NDLR, all of the midi info for pad, drone, motif 1+2 is played by each soft synth...i cant figure out out how to send the midi info for drone, pad, motif 1+2 to each soft synth - any thoughts or ideas where i can find a solution for this?
Hmmm...cool little device. MIDI is dead! Long live MIDI!! Good work Gaz, and thanks. I like that you often cover the less mainstream or obvious stuff...
I think Gaz made a mockery of this brilliant unit, actually capable of some magical computations. Hope to soon see a video of the real side of the NDLR jamming to emit its brilliance as proclaimed by Gaz. 🤪🤪😝
Gaz Williams 😄😄😁 Gaz You’re such a thorough gentleman and a champ at what you do. Only the best are modest like you. 👍👍. My respects. But you still owe us another video on the NDLR 🤪 I wish the unit was freely available off the shelf with vendors Cheers god bless!!!
Nice synths! I would love to have the Erebus v2, but I got a new Circuit Mono Station instead, because Focusrite sold them for 50% off! Really a nice move to give all Circuit owner 50%reduction. The cheapest Erebus I saw was 350€ here in Berlin and the Novation was only 275€. :)
Gaz, thanks so much for creating this, I really had a deep understanding of the device after watching this. You inspired me to buy one! Have you tried it with the op-z? This was one of my first jams, had it for 2 weeks now: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u2vo8v54l0E.html thanks again for the inspiration! Really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot.
Jason Dale so sorry I used an Osmo Gimbal stabiliser but it didn’t work very well. I only realised afterwards! I’m going to do another but with a fixed camera. This video gets marginally better a few minutes in though...
I love when you made it change the root chords , b e a u t i f u l progressions ! I...must....have...this....crazeee...mashine... :-O its better that way..""onow i believe again, in what , i have no clue...but my faith is strong ! Whoopsie opus Dei , see : here comes Jesus :-0........look busy,-
Its hard to watch the video because its jumping around. Put your camera on something stable, maybe a gooseneck thing ir tripod. Like this is no good. It makes me feel bad. Lucky the video content is good.
I really wanted to watch this video but the handheld camera jerking everywhere nonstop makes it impossible. I don't understand why you don't just get a mount like all the other channels. They're super cheap.
David Forman yeah yeah I know I know sorry. I used an Osmo stabilising gimbal for this so I could get close ups but it didn’t work very well. It does get lots more stable a few minutes in though.
