i didn't understand anything from the process, because the whole video was only talking about the individual's perspective in senses and life generally, but not about the actual technology/idea, to change it. what does she actually do to assure that the sounds she produces are understood by her audiences as her expressions? does she use the waveforms to visualize her work, or the vibrations to feel it?

My understanding of the point of the piece is not about the technology, but that she can only speak in an indirect way (by having a translator to voice her ASL). In the project, she let the audience to experience this indirectness. She compares the process as a composer writing a piece but need a musician to perform it. Of course there might be more to the project when we look closer to the technology, but even without the information, we can sympathise the core idea.
