would love a shirt or jacket in this fabric... mostly cause I love hemp, but have already filled my jeans quota for the year, but still have room for some tops.
Should we expect these to shrink any more after washing them, or is all the shrink out? Also, any chance you'll restocm the heavyweight crewneck in pink XS before the labor day sale? Thanks!
The hemp denim part is great! I wish the patch had been hemp, to make the material content of them fully 100% hemp. An undyed hemp patch with the picture printing on.
How's the durability? I've had issues with Linen denim. Everything I read claims Linen and Hemp are stronger than Cotton, but from my experience Linen shirts and denim wear out way quicker than Cotton.
If i were to get these, I might go for the classic fit for the higher rise, but I think i reached my limit on denim for a while. I think i got 20 pairs in the last two months, but it's so hard to resist. Especially when Bahzad puts the jeans I wanted last fall, when I wasn't working, on sale while I was working.
The Hemp are more greenish toned. If I could only pick one.. Between these options its hard to choose. They are very different jeans. The hemp is a lot more casual and relaxed, good for summer weather. But MIJ12 wears a lot more like a traditional jean. If you are looking to get the maximum wear out of a pair of jeans, then the MIJ12. If you are happy to have jeans that you wear off and on for the right outfits and temperatures then the Hemp is a great choice.
Hey folks, do you have any recommended repair shops for N&F Denim for tailoring? These are natural products that naturally break down for sure but would love to know who to go to if that happens for paid services ect ect.
I don't know technical terms, but are you talking body inseam (taint to heel) or jeans inseam (fabric crotch to hem) or label inseam (a general number open to interpretation, often somewhere between the other two). My leg measures 34.5", but my hemmed jeans have a measured inseam of 31", and I tend to buy labeled inseams around 32, 33". They looked fine on the guy who was 6'3". If you really want a pair, maybe shoot them a message asking for the exact inseam and rise measurements.
It's not necessarily the hemp that drew me to these jeans. It's the cut, color and something in the texture is what I've been looking for for...30 years I guess. That triangle of material above the ass(the tramp stamp region?) look much shorter than todays low rise Levies' but you guys kept your asses covered too well so I'm not sure. Anyway I've been looking for a Levies' of the 70s and 80s replacement. The old gold thread Levies' were lower rise, with back pockets on the ass NOT on the back of the legs, and they seemed to cup and accentuate what ever was there to be cupped or accentuated, such ass...er, such as, crotches and asses, and because back pockets were up on the ass, as god intended, and the waste band was on the hips, but below the beer belly, a guy could bend over without fighting "hot pants" levels of denim between his crotch and waste band threatening to become a denim straight jacket. Legs looked longer because asses were about a foot higher, cuz ASS POCKETS...and longer's better, I hear.
the word you're looking for is the yoke. but you're right most levis have the seat way too low. wranglers straights are better for this but we are not here to talk about mall jeans.
lost me the moment you said 31.5 inseam lol kind of funny how you guys didn't think to test this fabric before you did an entire run. not very impressed with most of the recent releases tbh
