EXPLORING THIS DRAINED RESERVOIR 

The next video is on Monday at 6pm where I finally get chance to fish the finished Severn lake at Makins!

Amazing footage and effort gone into this vlog, so appreciated!! What are we doing to our country and our natural venues. What chance does a 5-10 year old have of getting into fishing when we drain and destroy such natural waters??? I can think of 10 places I used to fish as a kid, that are now estates, concreted over, or just wastelands. The government needs to be held accountable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only anglers would commit to do more research like this, and share it. It's so important to visit lakes, etc., when water is low.

Hi Jamie, had great fun exploring my local res last summer when it was mega low. 54 acres and 60ft deep in areas . Came across a 1977 hillman hunter car , a old fashioned safe with the door blown off, no end of vintage cans of lager/pop and a 1970s citizen watch which was in amazing condition having being buried in the silt for years . Crazy thing is, nobody fishes it but its rammed with quality roach and bream. Fish a chuck !

You should have gone to the tunnel on the other side dam wall to see the ghost of Sally Ponch! You stand at the tunnel gate and sing “Sally, sally” and she appears.

Great video Jamie, must admit on the news it did look bad with the loss of some lovely fish, lets hope they can get it sorted and restocked.

No mention of the catastrophic sluse event where loads of carp and bream , up to 20lb have been sucked through into a Brook with all the silty water , they had no chance , mangled and exhausted hundreds have perished 😕

its a case of fish anywhere and its up to the angler to bring the fish to your swim

All you channels need to get together and head a campaign to boycott the rod lisences , the e a isn't fit for purpose and are even upping the price, they don't prosecute polluters don't maintain and should be held account for massive fish and wildlife stocks by the RSPCA

The CRT have got a bit twitchy ever since Todbrook Res had the crack in the dam wall a few years ago and they are draining down a few of their other reservoirs to check the walls. Wonder if it will end up a 'super carp' water like Drayton or Boddington. I worked in the survey team when it was British Waterways 20 odd years ago and we monitored a lot of reservoirs for movement/subsidence, until in their wisdom they made all the surveyors redundant. Sadly they are nowhere as near as vigilant nowadays with either res monitoring or canal bank checking

No mention of the fact someone opened sluice and let the water illegally, shameful. All about the views…..
