The Southern Hemisphere humpback whales migrate north each winter from their Southern Ocean feeding grounds to warmer waters to mate and calve. "
Sorry, you got it backwards, the whales travel North to the Queensland coast area in winter to give birth, and then take their offspring back south to Antartica in Summer.
