Wolf Lake in Temagami is somewhere I hadn't been in many years and a place I had been wanting to go back to. I headed out on a solo canoe trip, anxious to re-explore an area I have always loved. I was surprised at how quiet the area was, and despite hearing gunshots on one of the nights, it was a very peaceful trip. In this adventure I check out Paradise Lagoon, the waterfalls on Wolf, eat some tasty meals and watch a snake devour a frog. It was a great weekend in Temagami, with gorgeous scenery, and if you haven't been to the Wolf Lake area yet, I highly recommend checking it out.

Awesome scenery in that area. Gunshots though, definitey take away from the wilderness feel.

So sorry about the gunshots. They're breaking all the safety rules since they can't even see where they're firing! Glad you were able to make the most of your trip despite the less than desirable neighbors. Such beautiful country!

Thanks Karen. Nothing to be sorry about. Unless it was you? LMAO the gunshots were a very, very tiny part of the trip that didn’t affect it or bring it down in anyway. It was just a bit startling. Sadly, people are going to do whatever they’re going to do, we can either choose to let it ruin our time, or get past it and still have a good time. That’s what I chose to do. Isn't on Wolf Lake the Paradise Lagoon? Is it where you saw the water bottles and pliers? I recommend using a very fine pasta when camping. I believe it is called angel hair pasta? You just put it in boiled water for 2 minutes and it is ready to eat. It is healthy too as it is made from rice and water. At least the one I see in stores is made from rice. White or brown. Do you split wood when preparing wood for the fire? Thank you

If you continue watching the videos, you will see paradise Lagoon. Thank you for the comment. You will also see that I did use Angel hair pasta. lol. Thank you for the recommendation. I do not split wood. I do not carry an ax. I baton it in winter or when it’s wet with a knife with a full tang. But only so that when it’s wet wood. I generally burn small pieces. I have no need for a large fire and don’t like wasting wood. Cheers

Beautiful waterfall. Very impressive. I heard loud explosions at my lake also, but I heard rumors that the harvesters are planning a winter cut nearby, so perhaps its part of the process. My lake waters are the lowest I've seen them. The canoe is scraping over rocks I used to float above. And much of the flora is turning brown. But at least there are no flies. Next week I'll enjoy the rain.

The trip I just did this weekend was the first time I didn’t wear it at all. It was pretty nice, but honestly, I don’t mind it for the most part.

I heard that you can get to the falls Easier by parking your canoe on the other side of the lake at the Upstream side and there's a better Trail

Maybe that is a pill or turtle beetle they hang out around water . Could that have been a bear banger, I have a tru flare pen bear banger which sounds like a gun being fired into the air . we used it while crown camping .love that area going through to the other lake (sylvester) wasn't it pretty., as was the falls on the way out, looked like an awesome trip, great food , views and weather can't get much better than that.

I feel like it may have been too loud to be a bear banger knowing the distance it probably traveled. But I don’t know for sure? I also heard it five or six times, throughout the night. 🤷🏻‍♀️
