A visit to the world famous town of Zermatt - both by bicyle and on the town's via ferrata The aftermath of a ferocious storm which lashed the town and caused chaos
Brilliant Sue end to end. That cat certainly liked your bikes or it was waiting for a little more fuss. Either way - a wonder. Wonders never ceased on this trip - A,B & C. Yeah, gotta get the approach in - this was a good one with what l; looked to be a mountain village. Some good climbing there -crap views-ha ha! Nah, spectacular! Well, good going. All the best. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Thanks Mark. He really did cause a stir, that attention seeking cat 🥰 I’ve never seen a cat get photographed so much 🤣 I felt awful retrieving our bikes…
Brilliant wow what a setting for the via Ferrata 👌🏻🏔️ high above Zermatt 🏔️🇨🇭(got a cheeky glimpse of the M 🏔️) Great idea Sue to ride in and out too (that’s the way to do it definitely 👍) Sue Dave and cute 🐈 Very best wishes Simon 🤠👍
@@SetForAdventures Hi Simon! Yep, cycling is definitely the way to go 😁 Gotta get the M-word in there 😂 I wanted to adopt that cat. I think he might like my fireside, if not the somewhat cooler weather 😉
Can't beat a bit of VF action Sue 😁And what a lovely location for it. Zermatt looks just the way it did when we skied over from Cervinia many years ago but I bet the prices have gone up! We were following the news on the storms and hopefully no-one was killed. Typically the Swiss cleaned it up asap. Still hoping to get the A'Chir traverse done this autumn so if you're heading up give me a shout. TTFN 🤗🤗
@@IanTupmanOutdoors Of course we will! I’m hoping to get up north after the 2nd October as soon as the weather is good. I love Zermatt. It’s a wonderful town full of people from every walk of life. However it is ridiculously expensive! And not a free car park to be found. Except one…. 🤫
Hindus, Hi Dave, absolutely beautiful, you certainly have more guts than me do do the Via Ferrata. 🤣 The route back down looks more my type of adventure. 😀 All the best guys
@@DAoutdoors Hi Dave 😁 Actually, I find the easier Ferratas harder, the wires looser & the rock flakier. At least with the harder grades you can be confident the rock won’t come away in your hands 😂
That is a crazy view at the overhang . . Why is a cat faking injury always a highlight though 😂. It looks like you both had a great adventure on this one , dead jealous . . I hope I get to do this stuff some day. .
I was in Zermatt May of this year and it was snowing heavily in the village and then i went up the breithorn i had to wait two days for sunny warmer weather and had to use snowshoes on the breithorn because of the deep snow
Hi Darren, thanks for the comments, interesting! And a fantastic adventure, Breithorn with snowshoes, I’m envious 👌 I do own a pair but never thought I’d need them. I must make a habit of taking them with me.. ATB! Sue
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Yes Sue it was my first time ever using snowshoes but I had crampons with me as well for the upper part of the Breithorn because the upper part can be very icy I'd been to the summit 3 times before that but this was the first time I had needed snowshoes because of the deep snow
