Glad you wrote this. With All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone in 2007 I was graduating High School. 2011 and Take Care was finishing up University. '16 with The Wilderness I was working a dead end job and was lonely as fuck and they helped me through that. This one is coming around a time I've been struggling how to process certain things & moments being over. These dudes have been there for me. Glad you wrote this, sorry to dump a story on ya. I just agree.
Just as an FYI to anyone concerned about the album title, a statement from the band: "Our starting point was the concept of an ending - death, or the end of a friendship or relationship. Every song comes from a story, or an idea one of us has had that we’ve all expanded on and made its own world. Maybe it’s our nature, but we kept feeling that the album title was ultimately open to a lot more interpretation-the end of a thing or a time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, and what happens after one thing ends might pale in comparison to what it becomes next." Hope this helps!
@@Wastedcum 1, great user name. 2, it's a press statement that came with the album announcement. Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, Stereogum, whatever you read, they'll have it quoted.
@@djywrites Thanks ;) and THANKS ! I found it too, that ending in that album introduction " They are currently scoring a new, undisclosed, television series that will premiere in 2024. End is the band’s seventh, but not final, studio album" Gives high hopes that there will be eight album and also They are currently scoring a new, undisclosed, television series that will premiere in 2024.!
My friends and I were at this show. It was at Radio City Music Hall in New York City back in 2011. It was the most epic show ever. We are in this music video!
Same. I couldn’t believe it. This show was epic! And the fact they used this never before seen time lapse for a video over a decade later just solidifies my love and what this band means to me. First track on the new album too! This album will be special no doubt.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - BEST BAND EVER! This is beautiful as everything you do, guys. Looking forward to listening to the whole album. Love from Argentina ❤️🇦🇷
Sitting here in my fav chair, drum sticks idly following along, and watching the crows play and chase the winds. Yep. That's Explosions in the Sky for me. Every song is a journey no matter how perfect, how sad, or how powerful. Thanks guys.
What I really like about this band is that even after all these years, their music still has that quality of random jam sessions in a garage, just experimenting with sounds. That's what drew me to them in the first place.
If a computer could express emotions through music this is what imagine it hears/ expresses every time it turns on. So full of hope and promise to make things better. Thank you, Explosions InThe Sky!
Wow. Simply wow. Been listening to you guys for 20 years now and usually when you guys release new music it takes me a couple listens, even weeks to get used to the “tone” intricacies of the song/album. But this is the first time I can say I immediately loved this song on first listen. Stoked for this album! 🙏🏼
What a treat to hear this today! But I am worried with the name of the tour and the name of the album. Hope you guys can drop by South east Asia again for the upcoming tour. The show in Singapore 2017 was one of the best days of my life. You guys helped me through my darkest days. Much love from SEA. ❤❤
Tell me about it! We be the lucky ones in Singapore to capture such brilliance. Forever grateful for that experience and hoping to get another dose of it if possible. ❤
Imagine going to the theatre, sitting there, browsing on your phone through dog memes, celebrity buzz, checking the weather, sports, etc. Not knowing in that exact moment that you'd be featured in Explosions In The Sky's newest video. Hopefully nobody was picking their nose. Lmao.
This was at their concert at Radio City NY 2011. I’ve seen them 7 times and this was my favorite show. Still blown away that they used this video for a new song over 10yrs later.
I wasn’t sure about this new Explosions sound at first, but this song has really grown on me and it’s one of my favorite songs of the year. I love the middle section in G.
I subscribed literally yesterday bc I was relistening to Your Hand in Mine & realized I somehow never did- very glad I did!! This is wonderful, very excited for new music 🎉
I liked this on first listen on laptop speakers but that was a mistake. LISTEN TO THIS A LITTLE LOUD ON GOOD HEADPHONES. I don't say this much but it's been a while since I've been moved by just a pure piece of music outside of lyrics. Damn, I might just have to travel to catch this and other new songs live.
I'm just so happy to see the new album's first track. Relieved as I was so worried about the upcoming tour's name "The End". I just hope that the album's name doesn't mean anything symbolically about the band's journey.
When I first listened First breath after coma, it changed my life. I’m lucky that I still here. This song still shocks me. The whole album makes me feel that not only you are growing, l also grown over the years. I am very happy that you will live in Hong Kong in Mar. See you there!
"Feel your hurt. Your tears will turn to dry and sigh accepting fates refrain. They won't have been in vain and leave you not the same. Every living thing changes. Everything's unique. You don't even have to try. It is occuring in you. Happening to you. Living and dying at the same exact time. The only thing wasted is a shame so go ahead and cry." ,dan'
"Sometimes the best medicine is the only medicine and it isn't so much good for you as it is bad for you but you're bitter or your sweetness is gone and anything beats the taste it left in your mouth so here's to killing demons by any means necessary, with whatever's within arms reach and hope by the time you're done there'll be a hug or kiss waiting on you so palatable you'd swear it was paint." ,dan'
Dopo 30 secondi era già nella mia playlist ❤postrock.... e non mi sono pentito 👍 After 30 seconds it was already in my playlist ❤postrock.... and I didn't regret it 👍

"The Pipes Are Texting" What's a gift unopened? Placed at the mercy of opportuneness growing despondent, sowing guilt upon realizing waste laid the harvest. A person falls dead in the middle of a bustling city and it doesn't make a sound or bat an eye. Saving her or him from laying rot serves as reimbursement of unpaid compassion they so needed for while living, muttered under their breath like prayers piling up in a mailbox without postage let alone a postman as their soul craved unsubdue and exsanguine. Clarity divides light and dark, it's a fence not a throne. If you should ever find yourself in its throes remember you and this world are a gift to eachother and you're only as accepted by it as you are accepting of it. ,dan'
I think I have to watch this video a lot because the audiences have their own stories. I see this time the an Asian couple in front. Maybe, I just lost really nice girl because of my stupity. The music is very conforting me. Btw, where is the venue?
