It really depends on what you're going for. If you're aiming to improve on reactive ability use lower weights and squat way above atg (greater than 90 degrees). Try to jump as soon as you land. But, if you're trying to improve on your force production you can squat a bit further down and just around atg. Thanks! 💪💪

If I want to dunk how heavy should my dumbbells be? I have adjustable dumbbells and they go to 52.5 lbs on each side? Is that enough or do I have to squat like 2.5 times my body weight in order to dunk?

Depends on where you are at in terms of strength and your ability to produce force quickly. If you have room to improve on those areas, I wouldn't be surprised to see some improvements in your vertical. Otherwise, it will definitely help maintain your vertical.

Yup it definitely does! What matters is your strength-to-bodyweight ratio. How much your lifting relative to your bodyweight.

Keep grinding bro I’m 5’9 and Asian touching 10’4 off one foot but I can’t jump off two feet with a right left plant. Btw I recommend showing some explosive fire in your exercises. Like try mimic your motion in actual movement to help it translate better. Keep grinding 💯

Man I’m 5’6” I squat 250lbs, deadlift 275lbs, power clean 155lbs. I weigh 155lbs I’m mostly upper body, my bench is 185lbs. I’m grazing the rim with my middle finger, is it my muscle that’s weighing me down, I’m scared to do light weights because I know it works on speed, but I’m also afraid of losing muscle and strength

Great lifts! It can be a multitude of things. It may be your technique that is your limiting factor. Work on your speed and technique! It might also be that you're specifically training for strength. So, make sure when you're squatting how fast your lifting the weight and producing force.

I feel like the trick to really get explosive is training your fast twitch fibers only (nvm just heard u say it in the video I always comment before watching vids)

Yah, that's the goal. But, with any fast twitch fiber muscle training, increasing weight is crucial. Which is why having a a barbell would be good at the moment.
