Alberto - Yes, the process would be the same as shown if using a CORE1 US-41 inverter. The energy meter would obviously need 3 CTs rated for the appropriate current level for a three phase system, but the process is the same. Zero export would in this case be net zero across all three AC conductors.

Sudhakar - An energy meter of some type is needed to measure power flow at the grid connection point. Inherently a grid-tied inverter has no way of gathering this required information.

I'm not with SMA, but I can answer this. The concept of zero export is just to stop export. There can be different reasons to do this, but often it is to avoid overloading the grid during normal operation, especially when grid lines are small and the generation system is big. Zero export is a utility requirement in some countries. Many SMA inverters are installed with a backup power outlet that will continue to provide power when the grid is down, without back feeding to the grid. They are very safe. You can also have a battery system installed for more backup power. These are totally separate features from export limitation.
