Can I export the results without the original video file? I'd love to have the results which then I can just add to any video editor with video file, that way the video can remain HDR and with the codec/bitrate I Want.
Great tutorial, thanks - but didn't see my problem, I've just tried to export my first Telemetry Overlay project and get "unknown error, access" - have tried all combinations of options in "Encoder" and all have exact same export error. Any comments welcomed! Btw using windows 11
Hi. Could you check if your original video file is still accessible when you export? And the same for your output folder: is it available and files can be written to it? Check that the Cache folder in the general settings (too right cog icon) is also valid and that the program is installed in a local system drive, not in a remote one. If you still see the error please get in touch by email so we can look in more detail
@@TelemetryOverlay I believe that was the case, the usb port with the SD card was not being read, good to know that both source and destination need to be accessible throughout the process. Thanks so much for your feedback and assistance!
I love this tool! It has so many cool gauges and the video tutorials are very helpful! I have a question. Currently, you can export transparent PNG images frame by frame. Is there a way to have the PNG images exported including the picture/frame from the video? If not, what is a cheap and fast option that can do this? Thank you!
Hi Mattia. Glad you like the software! Including the video in the frame by frame PNG export is not possible. If I needed something like that I would export my project to one of the "Finished Video" formats and then extract all the frames to PNG files with a standard video editor like Premiere. Not super straightforward but doable. May I ask what you are trying to achieve? I might be able to recommend other ways to proceed
@@TelemetryOverlay thank you for your quick reply. What I'm trying to do is to extract geo-referenced frames that I can put in folder and upload them into google earth or ArcGis. For example, I'm recording 1 mile of road with my GoPro. After that, I would like to extract pictures/frames from the video with their embedded GPS coordinates every 25 foot interval. The 25 foot interval is just an example. I'm not sure if there is a tool that can provide this type of functionality.
@@mattiazammarchi6294 I see. Thank you for clarifying. That is not possible for now. It is on the to-do list, but the amount of feature requests is overwhelming, so I'm not sure when/if this will be tackled. I don't know of a tool that can do that, at the moment. Sorry
Hi, is there a way to export the final telemetry metadata in the form of gpx/csv etc along with the final video export? Is there a way to access the final synchronized telemetry? I will place an immediate order if there is a way. Thanks!
@@TelemetryOverlay Thanks for your response! This would be a great feature that would add a new dimension of use cases. Is the telemetry data embedded in some way into the final video file , like Google SV CAMM/subtitle track atleast?
Thanks. The default encoder does not focus on bitrate, so exported files could be larger or smaller than the originals (typically larger if you pick high quality and fast export speed). GPU encoders do have bitrate controls and should export at roughly the same size as the originals.
