I have my RAW Imported images and my Lightroom Classic Catalog all on my SanDisk external SSD. I want to have separate folders on my external SSD to send my specific exports to. Such as: Instagram Exports; Facebook Exports; Print Exports. What are the correct choices within the export menus to make this happen along with the way to set those folders up on SSD? Then I wonder if I am over thinking this and if there’s any real benefits of saving exports. Any ideas on this or is it unnecessary? TY

James, hope the video helped a bit. Yes, you can do all that you’re wanting to do. I too work on an external ssd. First off I would create some folders on your external drive. When you configure your export settings in LrC you can direct each specific export to go to its corresponding folder. You can also set up export presets so you can click and then hit export instead of having to redo the export settings each time.

@@TheVisualCenter Trying to wrap my overthinking mind around a process but is there a benefit to having those separate export folders as opposed to just exporting an edited image to the desktop, airdrop to my iPhone then uploading to let’s say Instagram, then doing another export to Facebook, etc. then just deleting those folder off desktop? I also will be doing like you said by making the export presets. I am just beginning to do edits now after taking a couple weeks setting up my catalog, preferences, etc correctly. So haven’t seen if it’s easy to find an image after edits are applied amongst all the other images in the Library or if there’s a specific folder that LRC creates to show them? I do realize the original remains untouched on my SSD just trying to understand if it makes sense to have those individual folders or make at least one folder on my external SSD that is just labeled something like EDITED IMAGES. Am I thinking right in your opinion? Really appreciate your advice.
