still helpful to this day - was having an issue getting glb to load properly using octane materials. as soon as I saw you were using the c4d standard, I swapped everything out and it worked like a charm, thank you in 2024!!
Does C4D have nonlinear animation feature which allow us to export multi animation in a single gltf file? (seems now version's nla feature can not do this)
This is great thanks! 4:28 Even tho I select "textures" they do not appear on the gltf (and I mean in-built textures like brinks and tiles) Gradients on the colour channel also are not exported. do I need to select a particular setting for it to be exported correctly? How can I export Physical skies and added lights in order to keep the same look on my C4D scene?
I'm having very strange deformation behaviours when I export! The arms which look fine in C4D seems to have weight issues where the animation is all janky. I've looked everywhere but I cannot figure out what the issue is, I've even re rigged, re weighted the arms but the same issue still comes up. Any thoughts on this would be amazing as this is for a client and the deadline is getting tight! 😅 Thanks in advanced!
@@leg8519 I found a work around in the end. I had to download blender. Basically what I did was: -Bake down all my keyframes -export as an FBX -Bring into blender - change my keyframe tangents to "blocked/clamping" (this is necessary because you get weird eyeblinks and pops otherwise) -then export everything from blender as a GLB Hope this helps!
this is a BROKEN feature in S22. very hit or miss. use R23 if you want to do this correctly without issues. R24 has bugs too. terrible exporter god damn wasted like 5 hours of my life.
