Residents in parts of east London say drugs are being openly sold on their doorsteps during the day. Those affected have taken to social media with evidence they are gathering. Video by Gareth Furby.
"14 druggies fighting" I can tell u in my experience of raving in london for nearly a decade I've never seen any fights in drug filled events. However I have seen plenty of fights in pubs full or drinks
Think they mean the little scumbags fighting, stealing and selling drugs. Not the drug users sitting at home watching Dancing with the stars on cocaine
@Johnny Ola and consequently, as drugs are unregulated but freely available, regulation and taxation is the only way to remove the violence associated with drugs.
These exact same people would vote for a party that’s systematically stripped the police and local government of their funding over the past decade which would be vital to actually solving these problems. Disgusting.
as a former convicted drug dealer whos turned their life around after being in prison i urge anyone watching this to keep their distance from the dealers and dont try to be a hero, if theres a problem with drugs in your area the cops know about it and theyre bound by legalities that could take months and years for them to do anything..doing the right thing and having good intentions wont keep you safe in bed at night and theres nothing more dangerous that a drug dealer thats having their money and earnings messed with because they answer to someone even scarier than themselves most of the time and things always escalate quickly when money is concerned
I can tell you 100 percent the interns and camera crew that helped make it all smoke weed and probably pick up in the same areas these guys are showing them
There were over 40 knife incidents in one day in London. and thousands with chains sticks and other things. Don't mess around with this type of thing. it happens really quick and over nothing. it's ridiculous
@@TheFreshSpam it was a jk. Also they probs include ones where they stop and search and find a knife. Also u got any reference for thousands of incidents with chains / sticks lol that is bollocks
LETS NOT FORGET THAT WHEN WE REFER TO THEM AS DRUG USERS, ALL EVIDENCE IN THE VIDEO WILL POINT TO THE FACT THAT IT IS INHALING HELIUM AKA BALLOONS AKA LAUGHING GAS. OK WITH THAT IN MIND PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THE LABEL DRUG USERS AS YOU WERE...
@Boi it's not needed it's just become to of a appealing opportunity to make cash fast there's always gonna be drug dealers but what they are talking about here is a massive influx of dealing cost of living goes up so dose crime and I don't necessarily blame them
Crime is everywhere in London.. a barber not two streets from mine was recently arrested for drug dealing. I was his client for years and I never knew he was a barber!
I mean, in most of these situations there wasn't any bother or real hassle being caused until residents stuck their noses into other peoples business... The only valid concern I can find here where someone is indirectly being put in danger is the situation in Wapping which ironically is more likely a result of alcohol intoxication since inhaling gas is only a 30 second high at best.... I'm wondering if this same level of distain is shown toward the local Bargain Booze or pubs?
@@NoOne-cf2ji so legalise them and get them out of the criminals hands, job done. By the man I assume you mean the man in wapping of which I already made clear was an alcohol issue...
@@NoOne-cf2ji no they don't, do you honestly think posh people don't take drugs on a regular basis? I'm not saying he should or could do anything about the legality about it but what I am saying is theres a lot of hypocrisy in the sense of a large portion of these issues are either caused by themselves stressing out over whats probably some plant material in a bag or not blaming the actual drug which happens to be the legal one, clearly my point went over your head in regards to the situation in wapping, i didn't say he didn't have a problem but its not to do with gas when it lasts 30 seconds, people using gas tend to be full of alcohol which is the issue.
@@user-lu8vq2qd9c I'm not like but so what if I was? No different to a pub landlord or bartender who serve a drug we already know is problematic but nobody wants to actually address... Instead we're pointing fingers at those who are sat at home smoking a plant minding their own business, everyone is very quick to point fingers in order to take attention off their own habits and vices aren't they.
He’s a pure spastic mush how they hearing that volume 15 music from there house they obviously clocked some of those in ear spy microphones you get from Argos brv
Ooh my god. They are selling cannabis on the street. Just legalise is you muppets. They only think that disgraceful in the UK is the damage drunk people do on a daily basis. Maybe fix that.
@Creepy Shadows No I mean my money. Believe it or not about 1/3 of the workforce is on drugs. Mostly cannabis. A lot of Cocaine too. Especially in the entertainment or food service industry. Even construction sites. I bet there is someone in your workplace who takes drugs too. Unless you work for a small company.
1.Medicines are legalised drugs. Legalise marijuana (this will stop ppl buying 10z's outside Lorraine's house). 2. Contribute to the economy with sale of marijuana through controlled distribution such as medical marijuana 3. Understand that there isn no balance between cost of living and minimum wage, fix that real quick 4. Get a life and mind your business.
@@christaylor3911 Possession and consumption? Yes absolutely. Have a look at Portugal, they have decriminalised drugs and actually reduced usage and the problems associated with it
@@herbsmanherbs Sap from the poppy plants has to be extracted and then refined into different forms of cocaine, morphine and heroine. None of these drugs grow from the plant into the form recognised by consumers, there is a process to creating it...hence the manmade comment earlier. Natural form of cannabis does not require any process prior to consumption hence the plant based comment. This is exactly what the prosessed vs natural food argument is about...
Imagine being Zamir's neighbour and having a few friends over watching football on a Saturday making a tiny bit of noise. He's the guy that will be banging on your door every second he hears a mouse fart.
"they’re not bothering you." yes by selling addictive substances that can ruin lives for the user and their families. By contributing to a trade which funds violent gangs who are getting increasingly violent and bring violence and death to communities. they are not bothering anyone
thirdbman how is a few guys selling a 10 bag “selling addictive substances” the ones buying it were like 18 they’re not exactly smack heads people Will always find a way to hate and kill each other, what’s sort of fairytale land do you think you live in?
@Frank Godley That's terrible, but doesn't really detract from my point. We seemingly agreed that legalisation would stop lots of things like that. If people are going to buy something, we may aswell tax it.
People that hate weed grasses up the dealer then the dealer goes to jail the people go to work and out of thier wages they pay the government to keep the person in jail. Basically they paying for weed lol
SME 999 10 plants, 20 ounce freshly dried, scales the lot. Just no evidence of selling, cause it’s only large amounts to mates. I got conditional caution where I just spent 1 hour 3 weeks in a row laughing with the policewoman about how pathetic my neighbours are. They told the police I was dealing ‘all sorts’ and having parties. When reality was they got pissed off about parking issues, my house being the nicest on the street because I refurbished it, and the fact that I had friends round often in nice cars. End of the day all my mates who smoke seem to have good jobs, and we just chill playing fifa or watching films. Jealousy is a horrible trait.
Boris Johnson had the same resources as Sadiq and crime across all sectors has risen since he became the mayor. Just imagine having a worse record than Boris Johnson, i would be embarrassed to go to work in a morning.
I live in south London, and in my block a lot of people take drugs and in the area , drug dealers walk around and sell easily. They don’t cause any problems at all, and keep it to themselves. I don’t take drugs at all and I don’t have a problem with drug dealers doing their thing. They don’t bother me so why bother them !!!
Can anyone really justify any drug not being legal? It's your body. If you commit crimes to "fund a habit", it's not the "fund the habit" part that matters it's the crime. So if drugs are legal and crimes are dealt with properly, what's it got to do with anyone what someone buys, sells, and puts into their own body?
Ps: same goes for making weapons possession illegal, possession isn't the problem, neither is their use even (eg: self defence). Only when they are used to victimize others should it be a crime. And plus, do people really think making something illegal will stop criminals having it? The clue's in the name (criminal) all it does is make law abiding citizens defenceless.
Donny Blacks A few years ago I went with a mate to pick up some weed and he took me to some random street up in London where there were older people outside their homes and down the street chit chatting and I was thinking WTF this place is too hot... but hilariously when the dealer came he gave the elders what looked like free weed before coming up to us, and I was thinking what a cool neighbourhood. lol
every large city in the world is many fold worse than london..... London is the greatest city in the world without a doubt. the BBC are trying too hard to entertain instead of a balanced perspective that actually informs.
Frank Godley another oldie white snitch , go in your deep dark mouldy room and sit on your broken rocking chair and reminisce about how miserable your life is
@@tan8813 you are an idiot if you think criminalisation means that only a few people have access to a certain substance. It takes a few phone calls to get nearly anything. You do not know the purity/cutting agents when it is not lab tested, thats where the Overdoses/fatalities come from. Look at Portugal, they decriminalised and crime rate went down, overdoses etc etc...
Drug dealers most of time don't mean much harm just trying it make money and people who buy drugs need help cause they are addicted so focus helping people with drugs more
Opium is natural, doesn't make it safe. Natural vs synthetic argument is for simpletons. Let's not mention plenty of psychedelics are class A's, which are absolutely harmless.
Sorry to say it but these folks don't understand the size of the drug problem. Those deals like the one at the car are happening millions of times a day all over the country, how the cops ever meant to police that.. legalize them all, take a leaf outta Portugal's book.
@@SPARKY832010 Who is society to tell you what to put into your own damn body anyway. The war on drugs was lost from day one. I reckon the government would legalize some drugs in a heartbeat rubbing their hands at a new source of tax n vat but are too scared of generally older voters opinions. The stats coming out of Portugal don't lie, and for problem drugs, they push very penny saved from punishing users n dealers straighy into treatment. It's time to grow up and be adults on this issue bcos drugs are here to stay, is it not better to control then than fight them. And imagine the time it would give cops to fight violence, rape and such
Because some people aren't as well educated as others... Don't do their research... Get onto worse and worse drugs... Get addicted... Can't afford it... Go to other avenues (like theft) to make the cash... Become a complete waster in society. Arguing for drugs is much harder than it is to argue for it against.
Or you could legalise drugs, make a huge market out of it, regulate it, tax it and then no ones complaining? However the police should focus on taking knife and gun crime
What I don't get is why does everyone take drugs u don't need it to live when u actually get down to it smoking weed is a Jamaican cultural thing not a British thing everyone's a follower back in the 80s 90s crack was the thing to smoke now it's weed if that was the case today everyone be doing it and everyone be like oh cracks not as bad as alcohol people need to wake up and be themselves rather than following the crowd just like the whole gun knife crime thing it's just these Wastemen trying to be like the Americans this is England not America right?
I understand the damage drugs can do but come on. If people are not bothering you then don't poke your nose in their business. You tend to find it keeps the peace. Have daily objectives, conduct your business, mind your business and you will attract next to no trouble from others.
If you dont like people going to cars to buy "drugs" legalise them so they dont have to buy on the street, and realise most of the time its just weed.....
ConaaG according to BBC statistics Cocaine is the second most used illegal drug in the UK with 2.6% of the population having used cocaine at least once in their life but only 0.1% (< 66 thousand) of the population regularly do cocaine and cocaine use is more likely in middle class to richer areas. Cannabis regular active use is 7.6% of the population (around 4.8 million peeps) with 13% of the population having smoked weed at least once in their life. (8.5 million) So with the statistics I would say its highly likely that it's just weed.
@@gozuam1617 I said "most of the time" even your statistics show, weed is most common. Never did I say its ONLY, Im saying if you see someone go to a car and hand something over and walk away, most likely they just bought cannabis, yeah sure it could be, coke, ket, acid ect or just someone gabbing their phone off their friend because they left it, but MOST of the time its bud...... I dont see why this matters so much, legalise it all and people wont need to buy on the streets
