Nice! I had no idea we can use the template from printify for mugs that way, I always wondered how far out to the edges designs can be, I don't want anything to be cut off after printing, Im starting to create more mugs today, I have 5 in my shop and all 5 designs have sold atleast once so far, which means I have to make more, I wasn't sure they were going to even sell at all. I be sure to check out your other video of adding 2 different size mugs in one listing, I seen lots of listing doing it that way. Thanks you

Great video. My problem is not finding the niches, but how to market my shop. No one never talks about that. You are not the only one. It is great to see that you got the number of sales over the past year and a half, but without paying you extra money, how did you market your shop to your customers? I know traditional marketing (I got my degree in 2003, which does not work anymore, I checked), but how do you notify those in Social Media, notify potential customers, etc... that you opened a shop? It is more than letting your friends and family and other "friends" on Facebook, X, and other platforms. I am getting very few nibbles. I do advertise in Facebook groups when allowed, and I do put out posts on the other platforms, but still very few nibbles. I even have a Stan store, and have a Printify pop-up shop. I would like you to address marketing in one of your videos.

My traffic is about 70% organic and 30% Direct traffic - primarily Etsy Ads. I have a video on my channel discussing how I utilize Etsy Ads. But for the 70% organic - that is just SEO (title, tags). I do not have a social media strategy or share my shop with friends and family simply because they're not my target audience anyways.

Printify has great options! Baby clothing can be tricky to price competitively for a decent profit though.

You are the first RU-vidr that has said they are actually using Hello Custom right now. I would be the first in line to watch if you were to do tutorials on what you have found works with the tool. Since you have sales coming in regularly, you would know first hand how it works. I know the basics of how to use it. For the rest of us, who have no sales just yet, it is hard to know what it can effectively do. For instance, do you list names vertically one under the other (more than 4 names)? When I test it in HC, I find it goes wonky after the 4th name. Also, are you able to put names sideways going across like we see on t shirts with flowers above their names as an example? Have you tried that or something similar? It works to an extent, but the lengthening of the line space does not seem to work the way it is supposed to. No one is doing videos on this, not even Steven LOL. Anyway, would really appreciate it if you would consider it.

I would set listings to manual expiration and let them have their full 'life' on Etsy (4 months) - when the listing expires at the end of those 4 months you can either delete the listing or improve it and try again

Print on demand stores on Etsy get suspended left and right. Etsy prefers you make your own products so be cautious

Yes I've had people steal my designs as is, it makes it higher chance for me to get suspended bc of thieves out there 😭

Etsy prefers to make money lol. Etsy supports print on demand and explicitly lays that out within their terms of service. In my experience, the sellers who are being suspended are not running a proper and ethical POD shop (infringing on trademarks, etc)

@@TaylorPOD Etsy tolerates POD stores. That's as far as it goes. Keep in mind you don't own your store on Etsy, Etsy owns your store and can shut you down at any time. Making your own products to sell on Etsy is the safest to avoid that and you will be far more respected in the Etsy community and grow an actual customer base that way. That's been my experience

@babyrakes if your goal is to be respected by the Etsy Community rather than to make money with your store then you're not running a store . Additionally, if you don't understand copyright law then you shouldn't be selling any product. The people who are getting their shops shut down are clearly violating trademark and copyright. Every single one of them has a sob story about how all they were doing was putting Taylor Swift lyrics on shirts or something of that nature. It has nothing to do with them being print on demand. It has to do with them not understanding IP. Additionally, Etsy is going to shut you down if they even suspect that you're a problem whether you violated the law or not. Instead of telling someone they should create an entirely different product so that they can be accepted by Etsy, it makes a lot more sense to advise people to start a store outside of Etsy and to understand their product. If you're going to work within the confines of etsy, just use caution . Print on demand is fine
