Cr max has done me ok and paid for itself . My crv was stuck in limp mode for blocked dpf . This saved me the expense and hassle of taking it to a dealer and a day off work too. It has reset my friends crash warning on his e220. After it came back from body shop with the dash spitting codes , oil resets etc etc . Also the tablet based touchscreen so easy to update individual or all manufacturers diagnostic programs over wifi . No need to plug into pc or any of that malarky . And no clicky buttons to navigate through menus , just nice responsive inputs through touch screen

Over 4 minutes to say both are exactly the same.

After watching this, I considered which of these to buy. I choose the CR MAX because it has the convenience of an internal battery, a hard plastic carrycase and a much larger (touch)screen. Just on the hardware alone, it has an edge over the CR PRO +. At November 2023 prices, the difference between the two is £64 GBP. So on average, the CR MAX appears to be always around 20% - 25% more expensive. So when I considered what I was getting for the extra money, the price of the hardware is considerably cheap. And, consider that if you can't provide the power to the diagnostic tool, you're already at a disadvantaged.

So essentially, the only difference (apart from price) is the touch screen and a slightly larger screen!!!!

Are these as bad as the trustpilot reviews say? Heard bad customer service from icarsoft and also the company that makes this video?

according the function charts for Icarsoft products both do not cover all the same functionalities!

Hi, I've been watching your videos for a while, and you have sold me on this, so I bought one, but after updating the software and vehicles, mine being bmw, it doesn't allow me to use all of the special functions, its only lists 4 vehicles on certain functions, the one I need is the windows,roof,door function but it doesn't show bmw in that list. Have you got any advice please .

The cr pro doesn't support immobilizer fonction but the other does that is the difference between them

Easy to update the CR Max, just turn it on and connect with your wifi if it isn't yet. I have that one and I'm very happy with it.

cr max ,injector coding does not work tried various models.

It does the things it says but it’s very limited to different vehicles it won’t allow you to do much with a Citroen I won’t recommend it

CR MAX doesn't support Chevrolet, very little customer support by e-mail, no customer support by phone at all.

Can you show how to get fuel trims on the CR Max please? I have just purchased one and can’t seem to find fuel trims on 2017 1.5 Ford Kuga.

In your video you say the cr pro max is £259 and the other one as £299 so why wouldn't you buy the cr max pro. I think you got the prices wrong for the cr max pro tbh

The icarsoft cr pro + has 21 special functions and the max has 27 special functions, so no they are not exactly the same but that's how all scan tool companies are the more functions you want the more you will pay!!

Ive got the CR-MAX & even at the current price is way way better than it's rivals in this range due to "Life time free updates" & an excellent dev team to support this brand. There are plenty of other tools, more expensive that charge a whole lot of money for updates. I've requested vehicles that were not listed to be added to the icarsoft Developers & they add them. You name another brand that will do this for there customers for free...So IMO regard this video as nit picking to say the least , no offence 😊

Cr max failed on an a_class mercedes! Cant read the files. I use my cr max on my jaguar, skoda, hyundai, fiat, morgan and citroen and i’m very disapointed! I see lots of vids whit a lot of blahblah. I think the cr max is only good to reset the oilchange. Never again. Better buy an other brand!
