This poor woman has gone through so much with companies stealing her (yes, HER) designs that she worked so hard for. As if that wasn’t already enough, now they’re stealing her videos with HER body in them, as well as those of her reviewers and models? That’s just creepy, wtf……
I am not okay with what they did in the video she didn't deserve that for sure. But she needs to stop selling herself as an original for the pirouette skirt idea. It's a ballet skirt that has been around for years yes with yoga shorts underneath too she just stole dancewear that the majority of the population didn't know about and commercially sold the idea as her own to a world of people who didn't know it has existed for more than 20years. So I think it's ironic she is going so hard on dupes when her skirt itself is a dupe of the original thing. The only thing she changed was a seam and a pocket. That's not rocket science. But hey people will get mad and just think I'm saying whatever cause I am accusing her of being a dupe herself. But it's the truth she just takes really old designs no one remembers and changes one or two things and markets it to people who don't know any better. Stealing her face and her videos not cool. But getting mad at dupes existing when almost all of her whole brand is a dupe is rediculous. Like these are not original ideas people she is a millionaire who has been lying to you guys and you guys are just believing it.
@@KatisWritingStillthat makes no sense. the specific design and functionality of all her pieces are unique to Pop Flex. all it takes is watching one short to see that. shirts have been around for centuries, yet brands still have their own unique designs. stealing is stealing.
@@ntrlstar stealing is for sure still stealing. But her designs are not a new invention I hate all the theater she throws at these things like she just invented the moon. That's all I was saying. She overplayed how much of the designing she did. Like that exact tiered pirouette skirt has been around for years(yes with attached yoga shorts) all she did was change a seam and add pockets. But she heralds it like she invented the idea itself when hers is just a rip off of an old design that I wore when I was a nine year old girl twenty years ago. That is all I am saying. She takes dancewear that we have been wearing for decades and updates it a smidge then sells it to people who didn't know it was dancewear and existed already. So in that way her designs are knock offs themselves. Yes popflex is her brand but she is just taking already invented ideas and adding new paint. But acting like she invented the wheel. What the people did stealing her face and her videos is absolutely not cool. Absolutely 1000% wrong. But her painting this picture that her designs are uniquely her own and not just dupes themselves of other older products is amusing to me that she would have such a heavy aggressive stance against something she herself is guilty of. And frankly lots of people are. What is that saying? Everything has already been done before. So to me it's funny she is outraged cause it's okay if she does it but not okay if influencers like her intentionally do the same things she is doing. Buying dupes.
ffs guys 🙄 how long is it going to take before you realise that Amazon and other mega corporations don't care about "doing the right thing". The only thing, the ONLY thing they respect, is money. In our world - unfortunately - money equals power. The only thing that would bring Amazon to it's knees is if most people stopped mindlessly consuming and were extremely discerning with what is real and what is IP theft. But most people don't care. This problem will never go away. Culture is dying. And we have the tech billionaires and finance bros to thank for that.
Amazon has become so full of sketchy listings for literally everything that I’ve lost trust in them and actively avoid purchasing from them. You never know what you’re actually getting or where it’s from. And they make serious $$$$$ from it, so I’d be surprised if they ever did anything to crack down.
Be glad you have this platform and can speak about it. I had the reverse: an influence stole my swimwear designs for my brand a few months after we asked to work with her. To steal from small businesses and creators who are not influencers is beyond disgusting.
@@areanaangel8964 ainsley Rodriguez. We had approached her to wear some of our items and six months later saw designs on her “newly launched” swimwear line that looked identical to our designs. It was heartbreaking. My brand supports local communities and is ethically made, I have to work much harder for each sale than someone with so much influence. Not just that, but the designs were intentional in order to support these communities. I know there’s nothing unique about swimwear, but when it’s the same colours with the same embellishments, it’s an obvious copycat.
@@areanaangel8964 ainsley Rodriguez. We had approached her to wear some of our designs which she declined. Six months later I saw her peddling her new swimwear line with copies of my designs. Colour ways, embellished detailing, all of it. She just blatantly stole our creative designs. As I am not an influencer and I designed these myself, my heart just dropped through the floor because I work so hard for every sale. Not just that, but my designs are ethically made and we work on supporting local communities through giving them work on our pieces. It was so demoralising and to this day I am flabbergasted at how brazen and shameless many influencers are.
It’s crazy how a dupe went from “less expensive but similar product” (like a drug store lipstick in a similar color to a high end one) to a literal copy. Theres a difference between selling a product that is in the same vein as another and blatantly reproducing the exact same product in shittier quality. And the AI videos are CRAZY?? How violating as just a person too and not just for your business! Creepy
Yep, I'm with you. I always viewed dupe as a product inspired by a popular product but with lower quality (or sometimes even the same quality since sometimes you ARE really just paying for the brand and packaging), making it accessible to people who can't afford the higher priced item. Stealing like this is NOT what I've ever thought of when I heard the word "dupe".
Agreed!! I’ve actually seen some people differentiate the two by using “dupe” to refer to something similar to or inspired by another product and “replica” to refer to a counterfeit product meant to pass as the original. I wish it caught on more because there’s nothing wrong with say recommending a cheaper matte red lipstick from the drugstore but a lot wrong with trying to pass off a fake as Chanel lipstick while also passing off other people’s content as your own.
To all the people who are saying that she’s being dramatic about her designs, fine, think that. But, you can’t deny that that video is using HER body, HER house, and her CLIENT’S REVIEWS! If you don’t think that’s messed up, then, very much offense, something is wrong with you. 😊
Dupe used to be something like, for example makeup or skincare, duping luxury brand with drug store brand that had similarity (look, color, formula, texture etc) because not all people could afford luxury brand. Now it seems that HUGE companies STEALING idea from smaller business owner, its so disgusting
@@marcelimxothis! They can’t copy a formula/design/name etc that’s been patented/trademark/copyright etc that’s illegal.. for example they can only “copy” what the colour of the lipstick might look like or how it wears matte, glossy etc without crossing as far as copying the whole “thing” like the formulation.. almost every lipstick has their own formula/ingredients etc only the person that owns it can either “sells” it or use it however they want especially if its under a big corporations like L’Oréal or something they can use that same formula on their other companies they own.. she can sue this people on almost all grounds and I would be surprised if she doesn’t win.. there’s so many legal rights that’s been violated.. I really hope she do something about it, as it involves her customers as well..
Yes, I learn those words from following make up videos on youtube. I actually really glad, since I can’t afford those luxury brands. But popflex isn’t luxury which I found weird to make dupe of those. For sports clothing I think the price is well priced, and there’s bound quality gap.
This isn't a dupe, this is just stealing. Isn't a dupe supposed to be something different, just similar in a way? In beauty space we often talk about product dupes, like one brand making a lipstick in a similar shade to the other, but they don't pretend it's from that first brand.
@@Sufferfish she gets to charge what she wants and needs for her WORK When people STEAL THINGS because they are greedy be that designs, and people's OWN LIKENESSES how is that not different to you
Girl that whole rant about the word “dupe” at the end has been me for YEARS. there is nothing like an original piece. It doesn’t even matter what industry it is. Fashion, makeup, furniture, automotive, ANYTHING. It drives me nuts how easily the new generation accept it.
@@Muffffinit may have the same function but it doesn’t have the same durability, it won’t be the correct texture, it won’t be the right shape. Also depends if you are happy to support child/ student labour and force those same children to not have an education therefore to never get the opportunity to have a decent job. Sweatshops have ruined people’s lives, so it really depends if you are willing to support that when you probably could afford to buy from a more sustainable site that would in the end lead to better consumer satisfaction for you as well. However, higher price does not always mean better quality or more sustainable, you do actually have to be quite careful, which is an issue that need to be clamped down so that we as consumers can make a decision based on the truth.
I AM SO SORRY CASSEY FOR YOU TO GO THROUGH THIS. I had a frickin jumpscare the moment i saw the first fake ad of the pirouette skort like i was like "wth happened to casseys face" and I was just so confused. Its honestly scary how people are abusing technology for their own greed and for their laziness to CREATE THEIR OWN ADVERTISEMENT FOR THEMSELVES. I mean, welcome to the world of scams. My country has a lot of victims that fell victims to scams and lost millions of dollars to the scams. its just frickin crazy and scary. 😭
This is WILD!! As a fellow designer I’m SO incredibly sorry that this is happening to you! I’ve had sites knockoff my designs and steal my pictures but using AI on videos is some NEXT LEVEL insanity! Smh this is so messed up! Sending you my love ❤
Dupe starting as a way for makeup artists and influencers to suggest comparable drug store products to designer products that people couldn't afford, is so gross. It really has become equivalent to counterfeit which was not the original intention. It really undersells that it's IP theft at best, at best, because the harm those quickie ripoffs cause is expansive and global
I don’t really know about these things but can’t she just sue these companies who steal her pictures and her the people who just replaced her face and posted the exact pictures???I’m just curious
@EMJ2009 that's not a way to control the problem. More and more always pop up, most quicker than the court system works to get lawsuits resolved. It'd just be never ending, meanwhile the companies making the fakes make a quick buck.
I'm a huge fan of well engineered products. I'm an engineer and I love your videos. Your design sense, use of fabrics, and fashion eye are a fun combination to watch in action. You are the only fashion designer that I follow. Your creations are well-engineered works of intense thought and passion. Thanks for putting these videos online. I get to appreciate your eye for detail and the elegance of the end product even if, as a guy, it's not a product designed for me. I've always enjoyed the engineering and math behind the design of fabrics. I'm not into fashion as an end in and of itself, but you explain your thought process around your design choices which I immensely satisfying and appreciated.
I feel for you. As a former textile print design graduate I left the industry before I even truly began. Every interview they would say "no thank you"....but then steal my samples that I presented for the job! I now teach english and I'm learning couture embroidery so the future work I produce is such a high level it cannot be replicated by cheap machines. I hope you get these people. Hugs xx
That is so sad… 😞 I’ve noticed how there’s a very real need for variety in textile prints… Sometimes it seems like everything is becoming more and more homogenized, more and more the same. To steal from those who create is literally part of the problem bc they can’t create their own original work so rely on cheap one off exploitations…
I’ve read so many people’s stories sharing the same thing. 😢 Even brands like Zara, H&M, and Fashionnova, to name a few off the top of my head do it constantly. I’d rather save my money up for quality. I stopped buying fast fashion 11 years ago & just thrift now. It’s getting worse. 😕 I’m learning to sew, and a big part of my reasoning is that many companies are lowering their quality while paying workers pennies.
Products have always been duped. I remember being a kid walking with my family along the streets of NYC and there were men on the sidewalk selling fake designer purses and watches. Probably still happens today. The scary thing that you point out is the human aspect... People using AI to manipulate words and actions of others. Scary world we live in if you think about it. Hope you get the justice you deserve!
Safiya Nygaard did a video about the issues with these kinds of things on TikTok a few months ago and it was so eye opening. I’ve never bought from temu or shein or any of the other sites that do this stuff, and I mostly ditched Amazon over a year ago, but it blows my mind that people will do this.
Also these websites sell you crap. Why would anyone buy that. I only use amazone for buying kitchen stuff that is 100 percent original if they have an offer. So I investigate. But would never buy fakes… or dupes… no way
I love that video! It’s such a great deep dive on just how insane TikTok and Instagram have shot counterfeit goods, photos, and videos into the stratosphere compared to just a couple of years ago. It’s absolutely worth the 30 mins and I highly recommend watching and sharing it!!
Love Safiya's videos, but let's not blame SHEIN alone. They offer trendy styles at affordable prices. Plus, they have a system to report counterfeit products.
Thank you for making this kind of video and sort of humanizing the whole obsession with dupes. I’ve seen countless videos for dupes of popular Free People or Lululemon or Skims and you never think twice but your brand you actually see the person behind it all and it kind of sheds a bigger light on the reality of it all and how much you’re hurting someone
You worked so hard on those designs and the production of your skorts, that in return, you get all of this. The audacity of a person’s greed and the use of ai replacing the actual person is just outrageous.
WHY do they feel the need to steal you stuff and videos too?!?! Ai is crazy- 😭 I just got your flared leggings and cloud hoodie and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!! 🫶
I always have a friendly chuckle when I hear flared leggins 😅 I remember flares being in fashion in late 90s/ early 00s before skinny jeans and leggins became a thing (again, cuz fashion repeats itself obviously) 😊
did you size up in the cloud hoodie or size down? I get confused on that one, and same thing for the cute seamless pants did you size up or down? Thanks!
@@aj__love5919 ohh npp I was confused too 😆, I sized down cause the sizes are in ranges… so basically, I first got a size s-m but that was a little too oversized for me so I ended up going with xs-s. Hope this helps! 🫶
@@wyclefohara4169 Oh lol that's so crazy 😆, I was talking to my mom about buying the flared leggings and she looked at me so confused until I showed her the picture.. And she was like ohhh yoga pants, I used to love wearing those..! Also your so right fashion does repeat itself!!
Totally agree! It's so demoralizing putting work into something & then seeing it "duped". And with AI, it's just going to get worse. 😔 You are an inspiration! 💫 Keep up the fight! 💪
I had this happen to my small (tiny tiny) skincare business. This unassuming mom was asking me questions about my products and I was helping her answer questions and she turned around and copied my entire business model and all of my products including my descriptions and other written material. She claimed to be a Christian woman, too. I was so disgusted and hurt but since she blocked me I couldn't reach out and I don't have the funds to sue so I just ignored her and kept grinding. Now she doesn't even have her own website (she started selling on Etsy because she wasn't selling products) and she's essential faded away. People with no creativity and drive will go NOWHERE and I saw that happen with my own two eyes.
That last line you said gave me arctic chills! The truth absolutely! Back when I used to draw often, people on instagram would literally copy and paste and sell other peoples art as their own and it would stress everyone out! They did it to me and my friends, and before it was easy to catch them but now with AI it’s a free pass to do things like that and not get caught because it’s “original” I know no true art is ever original but there is a difference between making art, being inspired by, tracing, and stealing!
AI needs to be controlled or it will be the end of humanity possibly. All the movies about AI taking over could actually happen if they keep making more ways to use AI.
The Butlerian Jihad in the Dune series. Frank Herbert wrote about this exact thing happening in the 1960's, he was a visionary. Utterly horrifying to see he was right on that count. It really will be the end of humanity as we know it unless it's brought to heel and tightly controlled now, while it's still in it's infancy.
If Amazon had actual support people fighting counterfeit products, this wouldn’t be an issue. Amazon wins twice here, they don’t have to pay for people to police it and they make money on the sale
AI is just a tool though, blame those humans who are misusing it to fulfill their greed, I feel like people just get distracted by the tool and the real culprits get away
I love the point that you made at the end about AI, this is a really good conversation we can have because I think it could lead to something beyond repair if we don’t take of it now.
That’s so messed up. I’m so sorry for you. If I saw this, I would immediately realize that it’s a dupe and go straight to your page. I support you 100%.
I'm with you in this, we have the same problem in art community. People been selling AI generated art even on Etsy. And also the deepfake is so confusing. Like idk if it's the real celebrities or the AI anymore.
AI is ruining the voice acting industry as well! It’s people making AI voiceover for ads or commercials or even audiobooks using voices heard over fb, ig, tiktok, yt, and every other social media there is out there! All without the consent of and without having paid the person whose voice is being used!! Granted it obviously sounds fake but the technology is slowly improving and without anyone making restrictions on what AI can and can’t do, there will be no one policing and enforcing any restrictions on AI technology, it’s going to put so many voice actors, who use their voice to make a living, out of business! Bottom line: AI needs restrictions and limits to who can use it, what can and can’t be done with it, where it will be used for, when it is acceptable to use it or not and how much alteration is acceptable from the original.
That’s just scary! I hope they get what’s coming to them because that is disturbing and disgusting on so many levels. Stay strong and keep up the good fight ❤️ We support you 💪
A lass, this has been going on for years! In the 90s, I used to design jewelry and the 2000s. I don’t design jewelry anymore. I’ve had it copied and stolen my designs so many times over even from some of the high-end stores Like Saks fifth Avenue,& Nordstrom‘s not to mention online that I don’t anymore it’s not worth the aggravation, even tried doing it at little flea markets but people would come from big companies that do mass production scope out the markets buy my jewelry and copy some of my pieces, and then mass produced them I would see it in cheap stores and trendy shops. It was heartbreaking I gave up because the upset it cause me you can’t stop it. You can’t do anything about it. No one will help you and you just end up feeling ripped off and manipulated and stolen from powerless and depressed. I don’t design anymore except at home for myself which sucks because I would love to share with people but people make it hard and sad …😭 😰😥😓
That’s insane that people from big companies do a mass production scope.??? If they can’t pay someone they shouldn’t be selling the designs! Insane!!😮 It’s even more crazy thinking of how much they pocket and how little is needed to produce.
Not sure if it works for jewelry designs. But... Put a copyright on your designs if you can. That way could have sued all of those guys. One artist got his art stolen so often and put on prints and stuff. He later got a lawyer and sued each and everyone of them. Then used that money to buy a house.
I am so sorry this is happening to you! I am sure it is difficult and discouraging but keep fighting and posting videos like this to get the word out! And most importantly, keep designing and creating!
Congratulations on taking a brave stand against AI technology and counterfeit scam culture! Your courage and determination to speak out against these harmful practices are something I really needed to hear in this day and age when I sort all my endorsements based in them valuing human work. All of us can became victims of this technology in so many ways.
Thats actually so messed up. Ppl need to stop all the “duping” sh!t. Especially the straight up stealing. Honestly Cassey, sue them if you can!! (I don’t actually know if this is something someone can get sued for, but it’s just so unfair)
At the very least she could sue TikTok, Amazon, Facebook, etc for refusing to enforce copyright infringement on their platforms when they’ve been notified about the counterfeits and ads but refuse to take them down. There’s already a standard that the music industry set with RU-vid. The platforms are just as guilty, aiding and abetting, if they allow illegal activity to continue.
@@AceKaci if they don't have a pop flex logo they're not counterfeit, fyi. Are Vans gonna sue Walmart for selling cans style shoes? No lmfao. It's not branded, it's not counterfeit. it's called a replica.
You are so right; I get that people want to get a cheaper version of products. But, overtime, you’ll realize the quality matters more than the price. Also, it was already bad that people steal your design you worked SO HARD on, but to steal YOUR photos, videos, posts, etc., that’s just gone WAY too far! 😮😢
They have gone waayyyy too far, this is beyond disgusting and scary, especially for people who do not have the resources to get their images removed from these sites. It is known that the law is always a hundred steps behind technology but there needs to be a definitive infrastructure put in place to hold people accountable for this because it is criminal.
Good evening Cassey, I just discovered you this evening (a few minutes ago). I hope your feeling better since posting this. I don't know anything about the situation your going through, but I hope your staying positive, taking slow breathes. Remember, just breathe. Whatever storm your going through will clear up. I am very sorry Casey. I am a guy and I love watching your videos and I am glad you inspire other woman to be who they are and give them quality content. I am in the technology space and that is what I have been telling people too. I think A.I should get banned or get MEGA regulations because it is getting out of control when there are deepfakes of people being nude and just disgusting things. I hope you will get these posts down and that this is somehow a blessing in disguise. I love you so much, thank you for inspiring other woman. I hope you have an amazing day. Mucho amor de Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷
Welcome to the fashion world. This is what we have called since the beginning of dawn "Knock Offs". You can get Amazon account taken down based on stealing your copyrighted videos and ads. I don't know if Amazon will take it down because they are stealing your designs, because when I was in Fashion school we were told that the courts had deemed fashion design not protected and therefore anyone could use our designs. You still have copyrights on the images that they have stolen from you. That is a bonus to help you get those sites taken down, but other than that you really can't, unless someone has sued recently and won a case stating that fashion designers have protections.
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!! this is so messed up, so sorry that you are dealing with this and it's super scary too :( these fast fashion companies are so annoying, I will 100% always advocate for and buy sustainably made clothing.
So sorry that this is happening to you, thank you so much for bringing awareness to this important situation and my sympathies are with you. Really glad that you are bringing up these points ❤❤❤
So Sorry you are going through this. I hope this video gets out there more so people will see what is happening. Your skort is beautiful and I hope one day my budget allows me to own one. The quality alone will be worth the price.
This is so chilling it's just crazy! I'm so sorry you and your customers (that got their identity basically stolen) going through this. I really hope your legal team can somehow stop this.
Cassie, I would LOVE to hear more from you about the ethics behind your ORIGINAL products!! I love seeing your vids about the designs and I feel like you should also be bragging about how your products are made with: - fair labor practices - sustainable material sourcing - more environmentally friendly materials and processes While we ALL know that fast fashion has NONE of these things. I'm a conscious consumer and I bet alot of your followers are too ❤❤
I feel like this was to be expected since it happens to everyone. I was in Korea and there are entire stores with purses lined floor to ceiling that are dupes of luxury purse dupes. I've walked the streets of NYC and was approached by criminals to go into warehouses and buy fake luxury items. This isn't anything new, unfortunately you are the newest target. It still sucks, and it's not fair. But you're amazing, and so talented. I know you will get up, brush yourself off and keep doing amazing stuff!!
It’s been happening for a long time in other industries. Thanks for bringing this up to your audience and I hope it reaches more people. I never support shein or Amazon sellers. The difference between counterfeit and dupes is that counterfeit still pretends to be the actual brand and this can hurt your brand identity when people buy the poor quality fakes thinking that it is authentic popflex. Eg for skincare there are fakes that have packaging almost identical to the authentic brand and they also just copy the model/promo/product information photos from the actual brand. Some people may unknowingly buy the poor quality fakes and then boycott the real brand after thinking that’s the real quality. It’s disheartening to fight against these opportunists. Success is always a double edged sword. I would advice you to focus on your popflex brand and always make sure you’re ahead of the rest. Copiers only copy and they’ll always be a step behind you. Keep going and don’t let them win. 👍💪
This. Dupe and counterfeit aren't the same. When you buy a dupe, you know you are paying less because the quality is lesser or it's not from the brand. Dupes don't try to pass themselves off as the real thing.
You have worked Soo hard to get where you are! I hope those people get what they deserve. You are such a good influence and I love that you are standing up for yourself 😊
Omg, this is really scary. I can’t even begin to imagine how you must feel and your real customers who are now being used. That is just so horrible. Thank you for showing us. Stay strong please, I love what you are doing and designing. Please stay you ❤

Imagine how peacefull life would be if every social media platform wouldn't push so many dupe ads and if dupes were not a thing and instead there would be again a culture of saving money for more expensive long lasting stuff instead of "buy more" craze
Like litterally I still wear my grandfathers button shirt (he was born around 1920/30 and got the shirt while his kids were still young) and many 30yr old clothes but all of the new cheap stuff isn't wearable after max 2 years, I'm tired of that, it's wasteful and heartbreaking if You fall in love with a certain piece. never bought your products cos im too poor but im also never going to buy any dupes. i enjoy watching how much hardwork and passion you put on them and you deserve so much better than this. its so disappointing seeing ai being used to steal from creatives who spent so much time for it.
Yes. Saw this coming decades ago when I used to work in special visual effects in the film industry back in the 1990's. Not surprised about any of this. But still horrified by it all.😮
So sorry this is happening to you! Yes, platforms and other industries need to have better guidelines & swifter action for shutting down copyright infringement and dupes. And AI is starting to get out of control. It’s getting scary out there 🙈 Sending you hugs during these uncertain and trying times 💕
The only thing I trust as dupes are makeup (ysl vs maybelline and small makeup brands vs common popular makeup brands). I'm so sorry this is happening to you girl! We've got to make changes somehow!!
I feel you so hard! I worked night and day to create meaningful lash training course and now I see people peddling AI course “dupes”. It’s so sad and scary.
This really changed the way I look at dupes. I never gave it much thought but realize how harmful counterfeit goods are to the original creator. I’m so sorry people are doing this to your art Cassie! And that Amazon video is so creepy and needs to be reported asap 😭😭
Our local morning news show was reporting (celebrating?) dupe culture 😢 Once they mentioned Shein I thought straight away of the continued fight you’re fighting
In the paper crafting industry design theft is a huge problem. Several companies have gone out of business in the past couple of years and have cited design theft as one of the reasons. I regularly report counterfeit listings to Amazon, manufacturers, and designers. I’ve only heard back from a couple of designers who both said there isn’t much they could do about it. I think we need an alliance between consumers, designers, and stores. Promoting the alliance could be a full time job for someone. The reason for designers to join such an alliance is obvious. We need customers to pledge not to buy counterfeits to put pressure on companies like Amazon. Buying higher quality, more durable goods is not only better for consumers, but also better for our environment as cheap knockoffs contribute to over consumption because they don’t last. One of the first steps in should be getting Amazon to make it easy for customers to report counterfeit listings.
I'm so sorry you have to go through this, Cassie. But I know, deep down, that if anyone can go through this, it's YOU. You are talented and strong, and you can do anything! More importantly, I have known you for several years and I know that you are honest, sincere, genuine and original. And during difficult times, I can assure you that we as your viewers and followers on social media are always here for you if you want to share anything with us. I wish you the best of everything out there ❤
Honestly this is something that my partner and I have been discussing for a couple years now. Much like any form of technology, there's always a negative side to it - while there are some cool applications with AI, there's a lot of scary negatives with it as well. I do think that the original idea of a "dupe" product was the idea of a company taking the idea that someone else had and making their own version, but I agree with you that unfortunately it has turned into a form of counterfeit. It really sucks the way fast fashion just steals people's ideas and there's really not anything that can be done about it and it ends up impacting small businesses the most...and it is scary to see how now these fast fashion businesses can start manipulating the original content which not only is detrimental to your business but it also makes it a lot harder for the consumer to know that what they're buying is the real thing. It's not the first way in which I've seen AI be manipulated in that way with videos but I can only imagine how surreal it must be to see that happen with your own videos. I enjoy your creations so much! If I could afford to buy your products, I would absolutely love to support you! That said, I'm also not buying the cheap knock offs either cause I don't want to support that. But I'm sorry you're being used by counterfeit fast fashion culture, and it's not right that your hard work is being used like that. I hope you're able to find some help with getting them removed ❤.
For me, you're giving a voice to the 'original creators.' I mean, I'm much older than you are, so I know there have been issues with counterfeits for...forever but the new generation of counterfeits with their AIs, and the deepfakes, that is creepy af. Greed is an insane engine.
I’m so sorry this happened to you!! I hope change happens soon! But it feels like a modern Oppenheimer except if everyone was given immediate access to diy their own 😶
Gosh, the AI videos with your faces changed were honestly really scary and messed up... I'm so sorry you had to go through that, I hope Amazon does something about this 😞
YESS thank you for talking about how negative AI is already. I feel like the only ones who defend it are the ones who don't get their livelihood or privacy threatened by it.
Thank you so much for educating us on this! I had no idea what that word meant. That is so sad that people do that, and I cannot believe that happened to Cassey. So terrible
I’m glad attention is being brought to this issue. This is why I stopped buying things on Amazon from brands I don’t recognize. If I’m looking for something and don’t know a good brand, I google the product I’m trying to buy, review their websites and then purchase on Amazon if I that brand is on Amazon with their own store front. This fake drop shipping has gotten so out of hand.
I absolutely agree 100% every single word that you just said especially as a brand owner myself. This is shocking that someone took your video and put a AI face on it and make it their own and start selling products on Amazon. 😢 This is unbelievable and beyond my Understanding. How can Amazon allow these sellers to sell fakes and counterfeits of product that is patent pending? I’m so glad that I don’t sell on Amazon because I know this is exactly going to happen to original creators by putting their original design on website and people are just gonna rip it off.
