You’re paying a LOT for a bond. I paid that for the YEAR Like you I have carrier authority and broker authority and when the dispatch folks call me I ask them why they don’t just get authority . They never seem to know HOW 🧐
Yes you can. One way of doing that is, having an asset base brokerage company. First you must open up two separate LLC. A brokerage LLC with its own MC and DOT number and also a trucking LLC with its own MC and DOT number. Once you have that set up. You’ll become an asset-base brokerage meaning you have your own direct customers ( with your brokerage company) and you can dispatch your customers shipment to your own trucking company. Or you can just, be the broker , broker your customers shipments on load boards ( or from your personal carrier /owner operators list) Once you find a carrier and they agree on the rate con. You can Assign that load to your Dispatcher to do follow ups with the carriers and your dispatchers can report to you any updates that need be. Which will relieve a lot of stress for you. So you can have more time finding more customers and booking more loads.
You’re an interesting young man but why in the world would you ever let a dispatcher or a broker for that matter schedule you? You’re the only one that knows your time constraints and you’re the one that’s going to pay for any screw ups. Never let anyone else drive your truck. It’s your clock, it’s your truck & it is YOUR ASS
Brokers and dispatching is not the same dispatcher represent the carrier all paper work is in the carrier name we don’t deal with customers(shippers). We can’t book a bunch of loads and try to shotgun them out to carriers we specifically books loads for the for the carrier. Learn your shit
And that 100% right. Dispatcher‘s and Freight Broker‘s are totally different. Brokers are the middleman for the shippers and carriers, while Dispatcher‘s are the middleman for the Carriers and Brokers. But as a broker and a truck driver, I have seen Dispatcher‘s book a load with their carrier then book another load with another broker. And try to have their carriers deliver both Loads around the same time. I’m just saying.. I’m pretty sure you’re not one of those Dispatcher‘s and our very great in your field. But they are Dispatcher‘s who would do that, just like there are some sleazy brokers
