Although I agree to a point, everyone has gone through moments an stages were others have probably THOUGHT THE SAME ABOUT US. I hope he can learn better from this situation an grow into a better human... Isn't that what we all want for ourselves as well as others?? Remember -where we came from in order to have learned to be better 💚💓
@@daniellecailly5448 Yes but you must WANT TO BE BETTER, someone who is propped up by their audience telling them they're amazing and so cool likely won't see a reason to change into a better person. They don't even see themselves as bad, especially if being "bad" or controversial gets them PAID. HE IS NOT CHANGING.
I’ve dated a man like this. It doesn’t matter how successful or attractive they are… they’re majorly insecure. Always bringing people down that threaten their ego. They only use people to serve their wants and desires at the moment. And only date people that make them LOOK BETTER. A very shallow lifestyle with a lot of abuse going on behind closed doors. Hopefully his gf figures it out soon and LEAVES. He’s so ungrateful.
I don’t think it’s the “offensiveness” of it all as much as it is humorless. He can’t joke, and he isn’t funny. I’ve heard offensive people who are actually funny. It just sounds like he’s embarrassing to even be around and tries so hard to be accepted.
He’s giving me male comic Pearl. I think he’s trying too hard to “fit in with the guys”. Like he took a page out of Andrew Tate’s book and decided to apply it to comedy.
I was so shocked and irritated when everyone was saying it’s comedy people just can’t take a joke anymore. What’s funny about domestic violence and special needs?
ugh what he did to Brooke is so heartbreaking and rude. i had a bf in highschool who told his friends he thought my boobs were weird.. his best friend was my cousin:( sooooo embarrassing
I had something similar happen to me when I was 16. He told his friends my breasts were saggy and bc of that I have been insecure about them. I’m getting them done this year but it so sucks when someone you had feelings for drags you into the dirt just to look “ good”
Remember it says more about him than you, they exaggerate to make them feel better about themselves, because they are very insecure about themselves and want to be popular among the dudes.
I’m so glad I am not on TikTok and never had a clue who he was until I saw all these videos showing how creepy he is. He is definitely closeted btw. He is angry at women too - you can see his repressed anger with women and LGBTQ.
He looks handsome and can talk in-front of an audience. People are more forgiving to people who are pretty. Its just how it is. Just like it was with Nevada-chan from japan who killed another kid, people just kept saying, "she too cute to be a killer" and she literally got a fanbase...
Dudeeeee with how much people love this guy, I thought for a second there that maybe there must have been something off with my humor. Then, I watched about 15 minutes of his Netflix special and turned it off.
He only got famous because women thought he was hot, compared to other comedians he’s not that funny. People like Trevor Wallace deserve that fame in my opinion 😅
Sloan, I just want to thank you for how hard you work and for the speed at which you continually post new content!🙏 It was always so weird to me when YTers would say things like "sorry I havent posted in a while!" bc I was never actually waiting for anyone in particular to post, but now that youve filled like 90% of my daily youtube watching time, I would absolutely notice if you stopped posting bc I NEED my daily sloan fix now😅 no pressure intended, just so much gratitude for your constant work! You deserve the world!💓 Side note, FWIW I have close to no interest in celebrities, follow none and dont know much about any of them, but its you that makes me interested just bc of your personality and ability to summarize a juicy situation quickly😅💓
Lorry Hill did a video about that. She talks about celebrity plastic surgery and used to work in a dental office and she also said that just the veneers correcting his bite could have developed his jaw muscles to that degree. Tom Cruise's jaw got a lot stronger after he corrected his teeth as well.
I was ready for Sloan to cover this topic. This made my whole night. Watching Sloan is like having a friend who loves spilling tea and hot topics and it’s like a hangout.
I like how the guys in the Zendeya clip stepped in to protect her, because it was very creepy. I love comedy and don't mind if the jokes go a bit too far, but he is just creepy and not funny.
I'm clearly from the last generation with really thick skin. I'm a DV survivor(17 years long) and while it wasn't funny, it didn't offend me. Not much does. I grew up knowing I can't control what others say or do, only how I react to it. It's just not that deep.
i liked some of his more playful jokes but the “if she could cook she wouldnt have gotten a black eye” He tried i guess! that wasnt funny at all. im offended by how unfunny that was. also a form of that joke has been told a million times. i would have be more mad that he wasted my time and money only to kill us with boredom.
It’s crazy because i was one of his followers, but still he always gave me “asshole” vibes, I just see through it now, because it’s not even about the joke on netflix alone, it accumulates.
Would take someone pretty brave to. And Sloan has too big a platform to place in jeopardy like that. Unless he just soft pitched it.. Jamie Dlux is more the type. He in fact probably has. The child trafficking that Chris and Chester were about to make that documentary about got them both merc'd a la ritual hanging style just like Kate Spade, Anthony Bordain and some others.
Just FYI just because you personally may not be offended by a joke that does not mean somebody else shouldn’t be or that they are wrong for voicing that they are. People use the comments that are like “I’m the main target of said joke and I’m not offended” to be like “See! See! Nobody should be offended if this one person said that aren’t offended!” So you should probably just be a little more conscientious when you make comments like that because people with bad intentions and in poor faith will use your comments as ammo to invalidate and try to silence others…. I’m not saying you can’t voice your honest opinion but I would definitely put a disclaimer not to use my comment or opinion to invalidate other people’s opinions and feelings on the matter.
When jokes aren't funny to you, change the channel. He's on tv for a reason. Ppl find him funny. If you dont, cool. Stay in your safe space but to call a comedian a menace to society because u don't like his humor is just silly.
I am pretty sure the clip you showed of Zendaya is from a specific segment of Wild n Out. She has water in her mouth. She isn’t supposed to laugh and spit out the water.
I don’t take anything comedians say seriously. They’re just silly. I don’t think it killed his career. People that are offended Just need to turn it off. I’m not into glorifying victimhood. But it seems like everybody is & it gets a little tiring. I actually know 4 guys that were talking all about him. That’s how I heard about him. And they were at a party where the guys hang out and the girls are over there hanging out and all the guys were talking about him. So yeah, the guys like him too. I had never heard of him. I watched a little bit, but it’s not my cup of tea, so I just turned the channel. I really don’t think that woman should’ve involved her child and then complained and played victim. She’s teaching her son victimhood. Yeah I really think people need to turn the channel. If they don’t like someone’s humor, there is a lot of stuff out there that I don’t like and I turn the channel. Matt Riff, not my cup of tea, and he’s not theirs so they should just turn the channel.
Everyone also is phrasing the 6 year old rebuttal wrong. He said “Santa clause isn’t real and your mom buys your presents using OF money (not calling her a sex worker and she has a OF 😂 that SHE MAKES MONEY OFF OF)
There’s many reasons to dislike Matt Rife, but I don’t think we should drag people for things they posted as a minor. Anything he’s done as an adult, fair, but some of those tweets he would have been like 14-16…
I mean technically Jupiter does have a faint ring. But Matt probably doesn't know that Saturn is the one with the big rings. And being rude to 6 year old is such a bad look. How insecure do you have to be to respond to a little kid like that? He's really the worst type of guy.
Sloan i love you and your content but it's comedy, family guy has said far worst. People are just sensative these days. Like its comedy, get over it People! His crowd work and improv is really good. I have to say i didn't like the special because i didn't find it funny. But his other work is good. And he actually sold out his shows recently
OK so the mom didn’t see the Netflix special but her son did why is nobody questioning why a six-year-old even has an Instagram do you really think it was him behind all this or his mom? Let’s be real
Let me tell you, anyone with a heart would be heartbroken to see a survivor of DV. I used to work at a safety center for women and children that were escaping DV and I remember one woman in particular, she was head to toe I bruises and it was heart wrenching
I’ve been waiting for you to cover this since I saw it trending. Thank you for all your hard work. I love watching the numbers in the views go up as I watch 🫶🏼
This might be a super unpopular opinion.. But why does that 6yo even know who Matt is? Why was a 6yo on social media sharing opinions or commenting about Matt in the first place? I have a 6yo son, and I do not want him to even know who Matt is. Little alone the things he says. Especially for the content he creates. That was just odd of the mother IMO 🤷🏼♀️ She’s a content creator? 🤔
I said the EXACT same thing! I’m not defending him and he’s problematic but he wasn’t “starting beef” with the six year old. He was replying as if he was addressing him but he was really addressing the mom because she probably prompted/help make the video and he knew the kid would only see his response if she showed or read it to him so it was clearly to her 😂 not sure how that’s going over so many peoples heads. It’s pretty common sense
@@simplymonca content creators need to stop exploiting their kids and pushing this nonsense in their kids face. If the mom was so offended then don’t bring your child in on it. So stupid.
Does sloan have an email? I wanted to ask him if he could make a video about something that is going on tik tok with a person with a large following. That person is doing bad things and getting away with it because of their large following.
As a mom this is my first thought. My daughter is gonna be 12 this year and I have not given her access to Instagram or Facebook yet, she has fb kids messenger only which allows me to see everything and has me approve friend requests etc so only friends she knows are on there. I don’t have tik tok, muchless her. It’s hard, but we gotta be on top of what our kids are doing regarding the access to social medias and what their doing.
@@jessicaabbassi1140 I applaud your efforts to help your daughter avoid the dangers and pressures associated with social media. Bravo 👏 My hubs and I gave up social media a few years ago (RU-vid being the single exception) and tbh it has been challenging not having access to so many people I was used to seeing online but it also gave me better perspective on who is truly a part of my life and who isn’t.
@@simplymonca this video pretty much says he was arguing with a six year old. So which is it? Did the son post under her account or his own? If it was hers, how would someone else know it was a six year old posting to it? Now I’m just confused 🫤
@@simplymonca thanks for clearing that up. Seems like Matt was lacking in class as usual and perhaps the content creator should reevaluate how much exposure she gives her children online (considering her followers knew enough about her child to even bring him up). But that’s just me. I don’t think children should be put online by their parents at all both for safety reasons and because they’re not capable of understanding what their consenting to do so could possibly entail. 🤷🏻♀️
Sure the mother was feeding the child lines.. But the fact that even though a lot of people on Tiktok is making jokes of him and Matt Rife chose to respond to a 6 yo child just seemed like he's choosing the easy target. Why did he even respond? He wasn't even tagged. Obviously it's a joke the mother made to her followers. The whole thing just showed the kind of person he is.
@@lfaz4296 Okay. Let's not be foolish. He wasn't responding to a six year old. He was responding to her, and he damn well knew it. It was her account and everything. The only way that six year old would even know of his response is if his mother went out of her way to read it to him.... Just like the only way he'd know of rife and his joke is if she pushed it at him.
@@lfaz4296 Also there is apparently some hooplah over her claims that the only reason she even went to watch the clip from rife in the first place was because people were tagging her in it 'because my son is into the stars and stuff and they know'... nobody can find said comments tagging her I guess.
Ya why do I get the impression girls find him cute usually? I find him hard to look at . Like scary. Like girly and fake macho and weirdly plastic. And he won’t admit it an acts cocky lol. U couldn’t pay me to touch him
He had one job....BE FUNNY! That's the issue, he simply was not on that day. And instead of taking an L he just had to double down on it along with more stuff.
The thing that bothers me the most about him is the cheating and criticizing his gf’s naked body, especially knowing she might see the footage. I would be absolutely scarred if my bf said such things about my body!
With the 6 year old, it's very clear that the mother put him up to that when he said, "You're mean to girls." Why would a 6 year old know about Matt? Everything he does is for an adult audience. So it's either the mother told him what to say or she's a bad parent anyway by letting him watch adult content at 6. As for Matt he's probably had his 5 minutes of fame anyway.
Yes but also, why did Matt leave such a creepy inappropriate comment that was involving a child towards that 6 year old like that? Like I don’t get it.
@@sapphire8644 I know, right? The child said that Saturn has more rings and that Matt is mean to girls. Why did he even respond? He's just digging himself into more trouble.
So the mom knew this comedian was inappropriate and still let her kid watch him and allowed her child to interact with a inappropriate guy for likes and attention
Anyone remember the movie sex drive? How the older brother would say the f slur and accuse/make fun of everyone for being gay but then at the end of the movie he turned out to be gay himself? That’s the vibe Matt’s tweets are giving. Closeted angry man who hasn’t come to terms with his sexuality.
I was a victim of relationship violence and I wasn’t offended by the joke because in my opinion, nothing is off limits when it comes to comedy, but I didn’t find it funny because it was lazy and overused. However; my issue with Matt is how he publicly humiliated Brooke after sleeping with her which is just really immature, especially for someone who is 28.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you!! It’s standup comedy. Stupid shit is going to be said. Taste less shit will be said. Shit is going to be said that society doesn’t agree with. I’m a victim of DV as well and not offended. It’s 2024 people!! We gotta stop being such big cry babies getting offended by LITERALLY ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!!! If you don’t like what he says, don’t watch his stand up. Problem solved. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m with you on what he said about Brooke though for sure. Immature and unnecessary.
@@achildofgodsanchez9608it goes beyond that. You'd have to listen to her entire story about their relationship. He's an ass and he doesn't respect women.
@@WynnWynn-gl3fk Agree. He goes for the easy, low hanging fruit. Comedy should have boundaries. Joking about the sheer terror and pain of a DV or R situation shows total lack of creative ability and poor character.
What I do not agree with is the kid bullying part. Like I do not even blame him. Why are we not looking at the mom??? Why is she inserting her own kid when she can make the fucking statement herself? She knew that she had set her own kid up for and that’s messed up. Can’t even blame him for this
@@theoutsiderjess1869 Would you allow your child to watch his content or anyone else that talks inappropriately? I would hope not.. she said her child is 6 years old..it was obviously her -using the child as a puppet to get her 5 minutes of fame.. who’s going to argue with a baby? He was responding to her..even if it was disrespectful & gross-he knew who he was talking to-the attention seeking mom. It was meant to be a burn & funnily a “I’m playing along”-I’m talking to this kid -when it’s clear that it’s you!”.
I don't get the double strands of telling dark jokes. How come when someone who's experienced a personal traumatic situation jokes about it, it's inappropriate and makes people uncomfortable but when the joke is told by someone who didn't experience (usually men) it everyone laughs.
Because dark humor means satire and satire is a form of comedy where you criticise real problems while exaggerating the examples for comedy factor. You have to punch up basically, if it sounds like you are punching down that's just bullying and many people won't find it funny anymore.
When you experience something bad and joke about it, you're joking about your experience. You're allowed to joke about something that happened to you (as in your actual experience) but to make that same joke with someone else as the focal point is different. I'll make all the dark jokes about my past SAs, but I won't ever bring up the SAs of people I know as a joke.
Maybe I just didn’t watch enough of his content but I used to think he was funny. His Netflix special sucked though and since then he seems to be spiralling.
As someone who did comedy for years..I knew from the beginning he was going to crash and burn as soon as he took flight. He thought he could dane cook his way into comedy and he failed miserably
My 12 year old is autistic and knowing that one day I won't be here and my son will be on this earth with people who make fun of him, makes me absolutely sick. He is disgusting 🤢
I’m very sorry 😞 I understand your feelings and unfortunately it is true and only making fun isn’t even the most worrying part as a mom myself. I really hope when that day comes he will have someone who loves and is there for your son 🙏
He clearly got plastic surgery. Bffr. There are surgeons on RU-vid that have evaluated pictures of him over the years and clearly he had work done. Like nobody ages like that naturally lmao plus it’s not like he’ll just come out and proudly say he got plastic surgery when even the kardashians don’t like to admit it
