You should have done the purple harmony pillow. It's way lighter and it's sincerely the most comfortable pillow you will ever use. Just have to get the right height and it's flawless.
Me seeing a 44 minute video from my favorite commentary channel: Scott’s been my favorite for a long time, simply because of the vibes. He’s just chill, never truly coming at anyone and just hanging out.
Honestly pretty valuable journalism these days 😂 with all these companies advertising the last time I bought a mattress it was like playing darts with a blindfold on
@@Roescoe Well you say that.... but this murder weapon masquerading as a pillow would like to have a chat.... *slams a 10 pound purple gel mat into your face*
From the title, I expected this to be a video exposing the scandals and shady dealings of pillow corporations but instead I got a very pleasant pillow-testing video
I'm here to confirm: The Coop is the best pillow I've ever used, it's more comfortable than I even thought pillows could be. I bought it after watching this video. My first night with it I slept for 10 hours straight. Every night since then for weeks I've slept completely through the night, which almost never happened with my old pillows.
Literally came here to confirm. just got the Coop after watching this video, last night was the most blissful sleeping experience I've had since I was a child. I literally didn't know that pillows could be this comfortable. I will NEVER buy a cheap pillow again, my entire perspective has changed
@@-Teague- I saw a homeless guy butt scoot (like a dog itching it’s butt on the ground) down the sidewalk in front of our shop. He had nothing but a sports bra and a skirt on.
I had a tempurpedic pillow in elementary school. I was eventually BANNED from all sleep over pillow fights because it was, indeed, like getting hit by a cutting board.
Went camping at a REALY bad time with this pillow. It was may, and the temperature went down to 50 and we got hail. For some reason my moms tent was the only tent that got tiny little icicles. It was cold, vut we survived. Anyways, let me tell you that falling my head onto that thing like you would with a regular pillow was a mistake. It became a rock.
my favorite pillow was a minecraft pillow i got from a booth at an anime convention. it was comfortable, soft, breathable, and fit into a hammock perfectly. i only ever slept on it when i was homeless and i lived in my car, inside of which i strung up a hammock to sleep in. it has sentimental value, but was also genuinely the best pillow i ever had. 10/10 to me
I love the idea that when any guests are staying at your house you can take them to the pillow closet and they can pick out any kind of pillow they’d like.
It's a good use for all of the leftover pillows that you've had to abandon, in the pursuit of your personal favorite pillow. Like, don't feel bad about buying pillows to try, you can keep them for guests.
I just watched a 44-minute-long video of someone testing pillows, despite having no intention of purchasing a new pillow for myself, yet I don’t regret it at all.
Well you see, this is a life message that y'know, your current pillow, might be a bit of a trash heap, a dumpster fire, that you should, y'know, replace it
Imagine growing up and learning that when you were only a few weeks old one day while you were napping your mom and dad were standing next to you testing pillows for pillow fight-ability
That actually sounds like me and my husband. We literally wrestled over an agreement that he could touch my stomach (it tickles and also makes me self-conscious) for about 20 minutes. We’d been winding down for bed, he had to get up in like six hours for work, but no, a wrestle was necessary, and so for almost half an hour, the war was waged. We looked up to a tiny mew and my cat was VERY concerned. 😂 He’s going to teach small children, and I’m going to be a social worker. And then parents. May not be a great idea, but hey, it’ll be an adventure. 🙃
as a side sleeper, i have had a purple pillow for about three years and i will never go back. if you put a regular pillow underneath it, the square shape perfectly fits that 90 degree angle of your neck and shoulder! also the pillow being so cold feeling is actually very beneficial to sleep. colder temperatures facilitate more melatonin production and help to get you into deep sleep!
I have the purple pillow harmony in both sizes and while I have enjoyed the regular for a year, it’s better for back sleeping. I need more support for my neck and shoulders and the larger size is a bit too large for me. Currently testing out the pillow cube deluxe as I’m predominantly a side sleeper. Their leg pillow is great so far!
@@sigasaurusrexthe one he's using in this video is the original purple pillow. On the website, it just says "Purple Pillow". Holy crap, he did this video 11 months ago and he paid $134. I just looked on the site, it's $249! I bought mine about 4 years ago and it was $99 which I thought was a lot.. BUT it could last you the rest of your life (if you love it).
Well, I guess you can sleep better knowing that it's really difficult for someone to smother you with your pillow. Except that they would probably have a weapon or something. Damn.
I learned when I bought my Purple pillow that the Purple inner material was invented to make it less painful and less dangerous for burn victims to sleep. It actively cools the skin and doesn't stick to wounds. The price might reflect in Purple's commitment to burn rehab
@@tristanvliet My partner and I both got the Harmony variety, and we can't rave about it enough. I will say that if you already tend to be chilly at night, this pillow is so cooling it might actually make the cold worse!
I've worked in the sleep industry since I was 16. The biggest thing overlooked with pillows is keeping them clean, use a pillow protector and change your pillow case every week or so. If you battle with acne or other skin/hair conditions, keeping a surface you spend 1/3 of your time resting your head on will greatly help and just make you feel better!! Depends on your width but you want a thinner or softer pillow if you're a back/stomach sleeper and a thicker or firmer pillow if you're a side sleeper.
I just watched a 44 minute long video of a grown man weirdly testing pillows. While having literally none, (and I mean zero) intentions to buy a new pillow and yet I very much enjoyed those 44 minutes of life watching this video
In contrast i watched this at work and this convinced me to start shopping for pillows and do research on what is supposed to be ideal for my shape and size xD i also enjoyed these 44 minutes.
Same. I started the video with no intentions to buy one, I ended up bookmarking the Coop pillow and most likely about to buy it by the end of the night lol.
I asked for a pillow for my birthday one year, and my mom got me the coop pillow. I’ve had this pillow for years, and it continues to be my favorite pillow.
As a self-certified expert on pillows I'd have to say that the best pillow is actually the limp and lifeless one I've been sleeping on since I was a child.
The moment you said that the Tempur Pedic was "Clinical", you hit the nail right on the head. It's a pillow with a purpose, and for the right people, it really is life changing.
I actually have been trying research in a new pillow better for my head or neck, and I also love this channel! I clicked so fast on this video the instant I saw it in my recommended today!!
Maybe it’s partly because I’m getting older and I care about things like pillow quality now, but Scott you had me GLUED for 44 straight minutes of pillow reviewing 😂
You can buy a lot of these styles in a knock off version for a lot cheaper. I know Target sells memory foam chunk style pillows like the MyPillow for way cheaper plus it's not giving money to someone who wanted to invoke martial law to overturn democracy!
as a recent purple pillow owner and lover (I live in a very hot climate), I can attest that for pillow fight applications, it's like bringing a missile launcher to a knife fight. I would never bring it on a flight, but for road trips, it's so darn good I'd be willing to proudly lug the 10 ton weight around. also, one of my roommates recently got the coop which I had also considered and we swapped for a few nights, after which we both felt validated with our choices
@@MrJeanGuruno, it really is. I got a different off brand version for 15 bucks before even knowing the TempurPedic version existed, and it's improved my sleep in a shockingly noticable way. I wouldn't even consider buying a TempurPedic version that's literally 9 times more expensive when the special part is the shape of the foam. There's no way that cost TP more than 5 dollars to manufacture.
I love how the Tempurpedic one was so mid and confusing for almost the entire thing, then in the sleep portion it was just. The best, most still sleep he got.
as someone who used to have a nearly identical pillow (this pillow is probably 15 years old now, so I'd imagine the materials are slightly different) and it is such a weirdly specific pillow. for some sleep positions, it's the greatest thing ever made. for some, it's absolute hell had to stop using it because my chronic pain makes me roll around in my sleep, and it is not a pillow built for that unfortunately
So, I had a Tempur-pedic pillow for years, and liked it pretty fine. Had some MyPillows, they were fine. but recently I got the Purple Harmony pillow, which is an outside layer of the purple latex whatever stuff, with a memory foam inside. It's like laying on a supportive cloud. It's really amazing.
Man I've been looking at that pillow recently and it's hard to take the plunge at that price, but I'm starting to hate my mypillow more and more over time because it just flattens out while I'm asleep. I can form it to the shape I want as they say, but it doesn't actually _hold_ that shape through the night. I just wake up with my head sunk to the bottom. All the little inside bits ditch me and run away to the sides while I'm not looking.
@@niclastname cannot recommend the purple harmony enough. I got it at a discount when I purchased a purple mattress a few years back and I'll never regret it. It's the best pillow. Because of my arthritis, I overheat in my sleep. It's COLD and it does not retain heat the way other medical pillows do, and it 100% retains its shape. Best of all the pillow worlds tbh. I don't know about the original purple, but the harmony gets an A+ from me and my pain issues. I dont have 0 pain using it, but it's certainly less and the purple brand has absolutely upped my sleep quality after switching.
@@Blue-dv1xc I have the original, and I love it. I'd been getting a lot of neck problems, bad neck problems, as my old pillow had deteriorated a bit I think from time. Memory foam does eventually break down. I tried a couple of pillows, and nothing was helping. The Purple pillow was the one that came in clutch. It's expensive, but I think the gel stuff is going to last longer than memory foam does, and it won't get clumps like fiber fill can. Not having to do the whole thing of researching finding, buying, testing, and returning pillows again for a long time (or ever) is worth a lot to me. In general I've started trying to pay more for things I think will last, not for environmental or economical reasons so much, but just so I don't have to do it again for a long time.
Fun fact, most memory foam pillows do not mix with cold weather well, absolutely do not bring one if you are camping in the cold, it will turn into a solid rock 😂
That should have been a test. For those that live in winter climates. Freeze them and see which one works. I wonder how the purple turns out and this guys favorite coop pillow.
we say $70 is a lot for a pillow, but sometimes you gotta take a minute to realise that sleeping is a 3rd of your life, and its really something that you should make as enjoyable as possible. Without good sleep time, you cant have optimal awake time.
People won't blink to spend $800 on an electronic device they use ⅓ of their life for 2 years but balk at $70 for something that they will spend just as much time with. Ridiculous.
u can also go all out cheapskate and never buy a pillow. and sleep without one. now me? i don't really have a choice. a pillow will wake me up if i use one. and will experience neck pain afterwards
Yeah, it seems like a weirdly low-tech product that should just be cheap.. but actually it's super important and doesn't get enough attention cause most people forget they hate their sleep as soon as they walk out of their bedroom.
Fun pillow knowledge for someone who sells some of these pillows and did wayyy to much training on this. Intellibed and purple used to work together, and they created the grid system together then went their separate ways (they're back together again!) Intelibed worked with the medical company Stryker for burn victims and patients with bed sores. The grid technology is a super unique material, and it's a love or hate feel. It's also made from food grade mineral oil, so it's safe to eat 😁 Pillow guidelines: Lower height: back and stomach Medium height: back and side Tall height: side only pleaseeee Pillow firmness is also a personal preference and same for if you prefer a foam pillow over a down/faux down pillow or a grid pillow. Neck and upper back pain when you wake up is most likely from your pillow being too tall. If you're looking for a new pillow, look for one that keeps your spine in alignment in your sleep position. Tempur also uses a proprietary material that reacts based on body temp and pressure points. That's why their pillows can feel doughy and a bit firmer at first. Memory foam remembers its original shape and will conform based off of weight and weight dispersion. Please also keep in mind that different pillow types and thicknesses are super personalized for what position you sleep in and shoulder broadness :) Happy sleeping everyone!
I had a soft foam pillow I used my entire life until someone accidentally through it away. Since it was from the 70s and probably made with chemicals not legal today. I had to search for anything similar. I finally found the Talalay natural latex pillow. High loft and not from a cheap vendor. Then I added the silk pillowcase and wow! What a fantastic foamy pillow that stays cool and never looses shape. Def for ppl that like softness in a pillow.
Thank you so so much for this, I’m considering getting a purple pillow because my upper back and neck pain is really bad in the mornings from my minor scoliosis. I have a question if you don’t mind answering though! I’ve noticed with a lot of pillows I use I gravitate towards the flatter ones but I hate the ones that are so flat you’re basically just on the pillowcase lol. I saw you said that the shorter height should be for back and stomach sleepers, but I tend to only sleep on my back and sometimes my side, do you think the shorter height would still be ideal for me if I tend to like shorter pillows? or should I get a medium size in case it’s too short? I do sometimes use two pillows and then switch back to one pillow so I’m just very torn between the two 😂
For the Purple pillow, also factor in that it will outlast all those other ones by years while losing little, if any, of its original shape and comfort. No dust mites or mildew, makes it perfect as a guest pillow that's sitting around for years waiting for its owner to make friends with people that want to sleep over. It's also the only one that you can take a garden hose to if the need ever arises...
Just a quick PSA for the Tempurpedic and Coop pillows coming from someone that's had both for years - the Tempurpedic pillow with its curve sat weirdly on my jaw and after a while of sleeping on it gave me horrific tinnitus that I had to see an ENT for and have physical therapy, so make sure you're using it correctly! As for the coop pillow, it was AMAZING in the first year of owning it, but degrades pretty heavily after that, the foam bits will clump into one big mass, to which you'll have to open the pillow to stir it up. At first It only needed to be done every couple of weeks, but eventually got to the point that I have to do the foam stirring thing any time I want to use the pillow. This could possibly be remedied by buying and replacing the foam, but I haven't tried it because it's not cheap. That being said, the coop pillow is still the best one on the market that I've found so far.
@@randomfactsthatdontmatter3466 Modern warranties are mostly worthless, and often difficult to claim. Clumping foam would absolutely not fall under their warranty, and they'd just as easily counter with the typical 'improper use and/or care' claim that companies quite often love to use to deny warranties.
@@xaytana true enough. I've had to "fake" at least like 25% of my warranty situations. Not sure if that's the right way to put it but you get thr gist. Although I'm not sure what the warranty would even cover for pillows aside from pillows not being that great anymore. It's not like a stove or something that can have a burner go out.
I actually have both the OG purple pillow and the newer purple harmony pillow and I love them both, especially the OG. I'm a hot sleeper, so the OG actually keeps me decently cool even during the summer months (Chicagoan here 😐) while also feeling really supportive for side sleeping. The harmony is a surprising one because it sort of feels like a normal pillow with a special cooling case on it, but it has some surprising bounce back once you get your head on it and really supports you while also feeling adjustable/cuddlable.
I've never been a sports fan, but watching you review my beloved Coop pillow evoked in me a sense of competitiveness that I have never known. Seeing it do so well must be what football fans feel watching their team in the Superbowl. GO COOPS!! Also, for those curious, I've had my coop for three years and it's still excellent. I haven't even needed to add the extra foam yet, so $72 is worth it, especially considering how it solved my neck pain!
Dude, I don't think you understand the purpose of pillow cases. It's not to make the pillow feel nice next to your skin. It's to pick up all the dirt and oils and drool, to keep the pillow itself clean, and have something you can easily take off and toss into the wash.
Just wanted to let you know this was NOT a waste of time. I have horrific neck/back problems and I've been experiementing with pillows for the past decade. I'd never heard of the Coop, but it gets here Wednesday. 🤟They should have sponsored you!
@@datboi8140 it was extremely comfortable but unfortunately also extremely warm. I'm a warm sleeper and anything that warms me up more I can't handle. I wish they had a "cool" version.
I got the purple pillow (back when it was priced at $100 before discount) and I can say it is so worth it. 3 years i have not replaced that pillow yet, I can easily see it going another 5. I hope the Coop is that way as well It looks nice.
My grandma found a purple pillow at thrift store for like $10. She bought it but kept in the couch so her dogs could lay on I saw it one day and when i told her how much it originally cost she gave it to me. Been using it every night for 3 years
@@XxMadvirusxX not at all, she had it in a pillow case and I washed that white sleeve the purple stuff goes into twice before I used it and I also use a pillowcase on it
I don't think it's that accurate, as he was holding the pillow by the sides, while I think someone trying to kill you would be pushing in the middle, which would push down your nose, possible breaking it, and ofc getting the pillow inside your mouth
As a proud Purple owner- it's great. Comfortable, breathable, and you can fight a bear with it. Fellas, there are so many codes to knock that list price down. Do it for yourself.
I've been thinking about getting one for about 3 years. But my current set up is fine so I've never switched. If I can get it below $90 I will do it for sure. How much did you pay, if you don't mind my asking.
The neutral temperature of the pillow is by far its best feature. I sleep hot, and not needing to flip the pillow in the middle of the night or waking up to a sweat-soggy pillow is a big deal. And memory foam pillows with cooling effects go the wrong way as the materials to dissipate heat makes them too cool to sleep on. As for the “feels like flesh”, never felt that, but then you’re not supposed to be sleeping on it without the cover or case, so would just be feeling the case material anyways. The texture of the grid I stopped noticing after three days. For me the Purple is perfect. The temperature, the support, the responsiveness (no need to wait for the pillow to adjust if you move)… when I decided to upgrade from the cheapest pillows you can get at Walmart to try to upgrade something I spend a third of my life on, I went through a half dozen options before biting the bullet on the cost, and it was worth it. Though I will note that it isn’t a good cuddle pillow as Scott mentioned, and too floppy for sitting up in your bed. I just use a cheap pillow for those purposes.
Your other tests were actually still pretty useful. I have an environment where some noises occur absurdly early (read: untrainable dog), so I smother myself to blot out the sounds. Useful to know which ones are breathable. The pillow fight test might need to be a bit more exhaustive; if you have kids that start a pillow fight, you'd probably want to make sure there's no loss in quality.
I put this video on the TV as I did my lady's hair this morning. By the end, she's like "You want to buy those Coop ones? We need new pillows and I trust this man I've never heard of." Thanks for your scientific research.
I’ve had the coop pillow for over two years and it absolutely holds up. The only thing is every once in awhile I take out the filling and repack it because the little pieces can get stuck together and make it clumpy. But then it’s like new again. Also definitely recommend playing around with adding or taking out the extra filling to get the perfect comfort level for you, once I found mine it never needed to be adjusted again and I refuse to ever use a different pillow. Also for fellow extra sensitive smell/allergy folks, let the pillow air out for 3-5 days once it arrives and wash the outer pillow case and you’ll be good to go. That second quilted layer to the pillow adds a softness under a pillow case that’s just a great little extra touch of comfort.
I have the coop too but I'm kinda disappointed in it. I put all the stuffing in it and my head still sinks and I have to put my arm under it to prop it up. At the same time I don't like firm pillows so that's not it either. I don't get how come so many people are raving about it.
I am so glad I stumbled across this video. We don't realize how important a really good pillow is until we get older and have lived through injury and just the effects of aging. I am 46 years old and roughly 14 years ago I was hit by a drunk driver who nearly killed me one afternoon while driving home from playing golf all day and apparently taking a shot for every hole on the golf course. I was life flighted to the nearest trauma hospital and woke up with a broken C2 and C7 vertebrae along with numerous other injuries. I was lucky to be alive and lucky to even be able to eventually walk out of the hospital. The pain I've had to manage in the years following has really helped me to see how important it is to invest in a very high-quality pillow! You want to take good care of yourself any way you can and since we spend a large portion of our lives in bed sleeping you definitely want to have the best pillow possible. Sorry, I just went full mom in the comments section but just in case someone is missing their mom and she isn't around for some good advice... I got you! I love how you put these pillows to the test. I was considering getting one of the top 3 you tested since my old pillow is due to be replaced soon so I am glad to know that your general consensus is roughly what I've been hearing from others as well. Thanks for putting in the work to sift out the bad from the good so we don't have to! Sweet dreams.
i get that it was just a joke to say "people need to know my opinion on pillows" but i was searching for a new pillow yesterday and was surprised by the lack of real reviews. this video was unbelievably helpful and i can't believe how good the timing was edit: i ordered a coop, which is painful because they don't ship to canada, but it sounded like the best upgrade from the mypillow that i wanted to replace
I found a brand new, still rolled up Purple Pillow at Goodwill for $19.99. I was suffering from a pinched nerve in my neck for weeks because my bed was on its last legs and money was too tight at the time for me to do anything about it. I brought that pillow home and within 2 days, neck pain, gone. I was so impressed that I looked into buying the bed. I found a returned model for half the price. I'm a bargain hunter, aint no shame. That bed...I sleep so well. But I will warn you all. If you ever need to move that bed or make your bed, it sucks doing it yourself. You break a sweat. I will also note that the pillow is so heavy it sometimes slips down the head of the bed. I should probably put a spacer or something back there. I've slept on my Purple bed for 3+ years and had that pillow for at least 5 years at this point. Nothing but good things to say about both...except...the full retial price. Yowza.

Thanks to this video, I decided to splurge and buy a Coop. OMG it's amazing. Seriously the best pillow I've ever had. These companies really should be giving you $$$ for advertising them like this, because before this video, I'd never even heard of Coop.
I’m so glad the conclusion justified my insane $150 pillow purchase last year. I absolutely love my set of coop pillows and I don’t regret it except when people go “you paid HOW MUCH”
I know the temperpedic is kind of ridiculous, but it has been actually life changing for my neck issues. And yeah, I travel with it because it makes such a big difference. It is not a sexy pillow for SURE but if you have any physical issues, it really is worth a shot IMO
As someone with spine issues, they can be great to use between your legs for back support. I don’t necessarily like those big ones like the one Scott bought, but the thin flat ones can be nice.
I have one of these and the Purple pillow and have looked at the Coop before and will probably be getting one of those to add to my collection, and I have to say - the Purple is very close to as good as the Tempurpedic one in terms of comfort. The Tempurpedic is the pillow I wake up on when my alarm goes off in the morning the most, but the Purple has so far been a _VERY_ close second to that one. The only other pillow I’ve ever used that I loved as much as these was my ancient Sobakawa pillow back when the buckwheat hull pillows were all the rage. That one really took some getting used to with the noises it made in your ear anytime you moved your head laying on your side, but man, that thing was just amazing for as long as they’d last. Eventually they’d rip open and start leaking their hulls, which made it seem like you had roaches molting in your bed every night, but those things were the first VERY comfortable pillow I ever owned growing up. That ergo Tempurpedic, though… the way I sleep on that thing is just beyond words. It doesn’t _seem_ like it should be anywhere near as great to sleep on as it is, but it just is. I also take mine with me everywhere when I travel, unless I have to fly on a plane, and then I just lament sleeping every night and can’t wait to get back home to it.
Same with me, it genuinely made a world of difference. I used to wake up with a stiff neck/upper back regularly, and that’s almost entirely gone now. I actually hate sleeping on anything else now
I travel a lot. The idea of getting to keep your pillow is so appealing but there’s just so many downsides. Most pillows will make up either a huge part of your 50lb limit on a checked bag or fill up so much volume you can’t fit other stuff. The smallest and lightest pillows are usually worse than what’s at the hotel. There’s a risk you’ll bring bed bugs in the pillow. Overall you’re better off making sure you’ve got some good internetless entertainment since hotel Wi-Fi is usually terrible especially at peak times, and bringing some tasty healthy food so you don’t have to go out to eat for every meal.
As someone with neck problems, the tempur-pedic pillow helped a lot. I have a pinched nerve, and it's made things much better. They're really for a specific purpose.
I have neck pain and for me, it can be severe neck pain. For a long time in my life, it was almost daily an I found the TempurPedic didn't help me. I have gone through so many different pillows including trying the Pluto and I have now finally found a brand that works for me.
As someone who proudly owns a Purple Pillow, it's nice to see one of my favorite youtubers testing it out 😅. I bought it due to the fact that I have really bad nerve damage, and any slight tilt of my neck causes anything ranging from reduced breathing function (not sleep apnea thankfully, but still uncomfy) straight on down to agonizing pain and sleep disturbances. I've found that the pillow not only keeps my body temp lower, but it also stabilizes my neck when I sleep, which has drastically reduced my discomfort when sleeping. Like if you have nasty neck/shoulder problems, it's a godsend for me at least. I've had it for just over a year now and it's still as though I bought it yesterday, which imo is the best silver lining about the grid system. No stuffing or fluff that eventually goes flat at least
How do you sleep, if you don't mind me asking? Back? Side? EDIT: I'm really glad to hear you've found something that's worked for you! If you've ever had issues with your neck or back, and sleeping, you will know how easy it is to buy these expensive pillows. No price too high for being able to just sleep
I’ve had my Purple pillow for several years now and it’s still in the same condition as when I first got it. It’s a great pillow. When I travel I have to take it with me because I can’t sleep on anything else, so him talking about traveling with a pillow that weighs 1,000 lbs was cracking me up. It do be like that. 😂
I love my purple pillow I use it with another pillow to have the support my neck. I have lupus and I get back pain that leads to neck pains if I sleep wrong. I lucked out when I got my purple mattress they sent me a free pillow. I can’t not recommend the pillow and mattress to anyone who deals with any type of chronic back or neck pain. Also super great for hot sleepers.
I love my Purple pillow. I bought the king size, and I was shocked at thr size of the box it came in. 😂 Thr review that sold it for me was how the reviewer said it felt as if her head was floating. As someone who suffers from migraines that sold it for me. It's the weirdest, coolest material. Very bouncy, yet firm, and it does feel as if my head is floating. 😂😊
I was given a Coop pillow as a gift last year, and while before I tried it I would not have considered it something I'd be willing to spend $72 on (I've always been a $6 Walmart pillow kind of person), now that I have one and have been using it consistently, I'm never going back. I love this thing so fucking much, it is hands-down the best pillow I've ever had and I would absolutely shell out to replace it if something were to happen to mine.
I love that he didn’t have a month to spare to get that last pillow but then proceeded to sleep through twice through most pillows and 12 times for the coop. 😂😂😂
This is literally the science I needed. I've bought so many crappy pillows in my life. I just want one pillow that doesn't suck and lasts longer than 6 months.
Go big with the expensive purple pillow. It’s pricey but fuck is it good. I drive truck and this pillow is the only reason I sleep. I take it all over the country and even when I’m home, I bring it when I visit friends. Other pillows are so far beneath it
The pillow cube you definitely have to make sure you buy the right size. I have the Pillow Cube Cross-Sleeper which allows for side and back sleeping and it was life changing for me.
I bought a coop pillow after Scott's raving reviews and gotta say... I would have spent double on it if I knew my sleep could be this much better! I've been using the same shitty pillows from Walmart for years. Got a memory foam mattress 2 years ago and have loved it, but damn I didn't realize how important a good pillow was.
@AndrewJW I unfortunately am still in college on a dorm mattress for another year. Once I get my own place i will definitely buy a nice mattress and pillows
It’s so nice seeing such a wholesome comment section of people just talking about getting Cosy while drifting off and falling asleep and their way of doing it each night ❤
Imagine a home intruder tries to suffocate Scott and he ends up analyzing the pillow like "Oh, tastes a little like rubber... hold on a second.. yeah no I can still breath.. it's harder than with the purple pillow for sure, but I'll survive this for a while!"
I would have never guessed a pillow would cost more than $20. I've never bought a pillow in my life. I've had some gifted to me, but I never new they were this expensive
Pillows have always been super important to me. Joined the Kickstarter for Purple back in 2015/2016 and got sent the first type of purple pillow as a reward and have not changed my pillow since. This thing is killer, it is always cold, it never gets flat or smelly, and it is great for a pillow fight. I will never go back.
One thing a lot of people never think of is using blankets as pillows. Especially thick, fluffy blankets. You can mould it to fit whatever shape you need it to be, unlike most pillows. I started doing this after I broke my neck and I sleep sooo much better with a blanket as a pillow than I do with a pillow. I know it's not going to be for everyone, but I recommend giving it a try.
I did this a couple times back in Covid lockdown with the tiger blankets and it worked for a couple days before I started gettin terrible nightmares, like “can’t breathe” nightmares. Smaller blankets work if you’re more used to thinner pillows.
@@barrytone6581 Yeah I've had issues with that a couple times but I think maybe it was because I had moved in my sleep and my blanket ended up covering my face. Finding the right blanket is up to trial and error. I personally prefer those big, really soft, fuzzy blankets.
I have a quilted blanket I've been using like that. It started out when I did the laundry and flopped the folded mass where pillows go. My husband happened to hog the pillows that night and I fell asleep on that blanket-as-pillow without planning to. It is too high if I fold it pillow size, and takes up way more space than an oversized pillow. Maybe a similar twin size blanket would work. But I kind of want to try Coop and Purple now.
@@jewelweed6880 I use a full/queen size blanket. I use part of it as a pillow and put the other half over my side. I broke several ribs and it hurts when I lay my arm on my side, so the blanket helps cushion it. Plus the part of the blanket that's in front of me helps prevent me from curling up in my sleep which is bad for my back.
You say sorry guys but man, this was the most honest [even acknowledging bias!] review of pillows I've seen. I personally use purple harmony pillow and appreciate this giving me a view of where other pillows would rank among it. Thanks! Personally, I really like the cool feeing even in the Wisconsin winter on the back of my neck.
Ok but being accidentally suffocated by pillows is something that happens to me so often that now i need to know the suffocation levels of every pillow and I didnt even realize it
I got the purple pillows (and mattress) when they first came out. They’re literally the best. I never need to buy another pillow in my LIFE. My fiancé is now hooked on them too, says it’s the best pillow he has ever used. I’m forever a purple pillow stan. Mine are definitely smaller than the ones you ordered though. I take mine with me EVERYWHERE lol so worth it.🎉
I was picturing a mattress topper made of that and wondering how many weightlifters you'd need to get it on your bed properly - a MATTRESS?? do they help put it up for you? I picture me giving up and sleeping in the hallway because I couldn't move it more and severely injured my back.
It sounds like you didn't rate the tempurpedic higher because it isn't the most comfortable while awake, but I feel like the comfort while sleeping is more important. Sleeping like a rock can be for sure an extremely important thing for some people. But it is a very specific pillow regardless, that shouldn't be ignored
Yeah I saw that too. He's like... "this knocked me unconscious every time I touched it with my head, but when I look at it, it gives me the heebie jeebies so I'm dismissing it"
@@maxinac he’s kinda right. I mean i like it for the clinical purpose since I do have scoliosis and i hate to ruin my neck but it looks so goofy and silly 💀
