I have 19 layers, .... This approach can get tedious, but it does overcome my problem, that Ps converts my files to PS documents but doesn't automatically save them. I think LrC implements "open in layers" by converting all the files to a layered TIFF. Bridge/ACR doesn't do that.

In your opinion. In my opinion you have missed the point of the video in that Christian has shown us an alternative way of blending images together using different tools in PS to those that one might normally expect to use. The fact that there is a quicker or "better" way is neither here nor there and purely subjective. You must be a bundle of laughs IRL. Do you follow a step-by-step process to achieve orgasm with your wife in under 3 minutes, for example? 🤣
