Osaka-Tokyo (+-500km, 6-7hrs) and you had 3 stops at every rest area to allow passengers get the fresh air. Meanwhile the same route length (+-9-10hrs) in Indonesia we only have 1 stop for meal service 🤣
I was in Japan in 2013, Tsuchiura city for 6 days because of office work. I am shocked that even for a reguler intercity airport bus they put seat belt for each passenger😅.
I was in a hotel in outskirt of tokyo. In the station there were many bycycles. No locks. You can pick any and ride home. Or pick up and go for sight seeing. Leave it back after you finish. No stealing.

My friend introduced such VOLVO bus in Mumbai, some few years ago, between Mumbai and Surat intercity and Mumbai to AHMEDABAD with excellent amenities, almost like this. But passengers eating tobacco (some with beetle leaf) ,home made food packets and what more ,one can imagine. People RUINED it ,cut the seat with blades, tore curtains, spitting on floors and so on, he ultimately shut down the service within 8 to 9 months resulting in huge loss. Providing best amenities, is yes necessary but our behaviour in PUBLIC LIFE IS WORSE. We never deserves good services. Our culture, education and understanding to use public service needs lots of improvement.

...8 horas de estrada (ônibus), entre OSAKA E TOKYO... enquanto que, de "trem bala", leva-se o tempo de um cochilo, cerca de 2 horas. Se bem que a viagem de ônibus, é mais interessante, sob todos os aspectos, apesar de muito cansativa. Já de trem bala... a paisagem é, sempre, só um "vulto" !!!
It takes about 9 to 10 hrs. average. The direct route bus in the night time takes about 8 to 9 hrs. for 550Km. The calling route bus in the day time takes about 10 to 11 hrs for 600Km.
Probably the best bus in the world, but still the same vibration ride of buses in general. =/ I'd have to be really broke to choose to take this instead of the shinkansen.
