My current CRS points is 478, I am planning to study Healthcare Assistant diploma this summer (we are that batch of people who were allowed to study in a post-secondary institution while on a PGWP - just to increase our CRS points). Money is not an issue as I've already saved enough funds for my back-to-school studies. It seems I have to find a "targeted occupation" to increase my chances of getting that PR status asap. I still have 2 years remaining for my PGWP tho. I love Canada. And I don't want to move to another English-speaking country like Australia and New Zealand. Canada is home and I will fight for this country.

Hi...I have been scrolling my phone for this one. Finally found someone who is discussing the same thing which I have in my mind for so long. I have studied 1+1 business related courses but did not knew anything that someone can do healthcare aide course here without medical background. I am gonna apply for PGWP in next two days. Can you explain me how to study while being on PGWP. As per IRCC if someone study full time more than 6 months course during their open work permit they have to apply for study permit and by that time, IRCC is not gonna count those months even if the person is working full time, so even if we are studying we are loosing points there as our work experience will not going to be count for CEC . Can you help me how to save those points

However, I will continue to release a steady stream of free information, education, and insight on immigration through this and our other channels. Ultimately you have to decide if the consultation is worth the money we charge. However, with six months remaining, I recognize the difficult position you’re in. Really appreciate the knowledge you are sharing with us. i came as an international student in 2019. I completed my study paid my taxes work hard to survive and hoping to get PR. But my points are not enough to be qualify. I went to immigration consultants discuss my cases with them all of them are suggesting me to get a LMIA. But in the market LMIA cost $40,000 and there are tons of employers you are not paying taxes to the government. There are tons of people out there who cannot afford $40,000 LMIA. Permit is going to expire.lack of jobs and still LMIA Prices are Touching the sky . There should be another pathway for the people who are already in the country paid their tax looking for mercy from immigration decision.
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute Месяц назад
If you are directly aware of immigration, consultants, employers, or any representatives selling LMIA’s for any amount of money, this is 100% illegal. I beg of you to please report these bad actors to their authorities and to immigration. The only way we will be able to combat this fraud is by providing evidence to the authorities, and then holding the authorities accountable, if they do not enforce.

What about if the candidate before his WP expires, applies for a visitor record gets a remote job outside of Canada and accumulates 6 months and goes back to the home country for 6 months and accumulates 12 months of foreign work experience (remote)

Even the PNP’s are stretched to their maximum. Provinces like Alberta I’ve already Reached their quota for 2024 or many of their programs. This is the case for many PNP’s. Simply put, unless IRCC starts to implement frequent CEC only draws With large numbers of ITA, there will not be a pathway to permanent residence for many postgrad workpermit holders in Canada.🇨🇦

I have one question - Whether remote work for a Canadian employer done outside Canada (from one of their office locations in India) can be counted as Foreign work experience, while still being paid in CADs to a Canadian bank account and paying Canadian taxes? So, I have been working for a Canadian employer for last 3 years, the initial 1.5 years were inside Canada and then I got relocated to India on a temporary basis and started working from one of their Indian offices and have been working from here since last 1.5 years. Can I count this as Foriegn work experience?

You forgot to mention the public policy in place until February 2025 in which candidates can apply for an LMIA closed work permit with visitor status or wait until CEC draws resume during the new LMIA validity time of six months. While there are unscrupulous and money hungry consultants that promise LMIA approved jobs and charge an arm and a leg to applicants who risk themselves with this "shortcut" it is up to candidates to decide which is the best pathway for them. BTW there is a girl who posted a video in which she claims she got her ITA while on visitor status after her pgwp expired as none of the other options( LMIA,PNP,) were suitable for her. Going home is not always the best option, it depends on the particular case.
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute Месяц назад
Yes, these are all viable options. However, the purpose of this video was to illustrate that there are pathways for people to actually increase their CRS score by returning home and gaining additional foreign work experience. For every single individual I highly recommend that they book a consultation so that we can explore all of these options. I recently did this with one of my clients who is returning home to continue working for his company from his home country. However, as you have identified this option may not be the best for everyone. If there is a chance of getting an ITA without leaving Canada, and an individual can remain in valid temporary status, then, of course people should pursue this.

Hi, what about those who cannot claim age scores, what are their choices?
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute Месяц назад
With older applicants, the only way to combat a loss of points due to age is to maximize all other factors. However, once you hit 45 years of age, this loss of points is an almost unsurmountable challenge. Without gaining additional points in areas, such as, French language ability, work experience in a category base draw, or executive level job offers, express entry may not be an option in our current world. People that need to turn to PNP‘s or other programs not exclusively based on human capital such as the RNIP, AIP, and other programs

I’m afraid and ITA will not be coming for you anytime soon. This is the sad reality for many people at this current level. it was for this reason that I released this video. Is there a strategy dos 40+ with CLB 7?
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute
@CanadianImmigrationInstitute Месяц назад
It is really difficult when an individual’s human capital is low. Age and language ability under CLB 9 are two huge factors that make someone less competitive for PR. However, circumstances are different for everyone. Some category base draws have lower CRS thresholds. Some PNP programs do not focus on age as much as they do work experience. I have consultations with people all the time exploring their options. In many cases these days, I explain to people that 🇨🇦 may not be a viable pathway for them. Some of the best advice I give is to save their money, return home, and build a new life for themselves, leveraging the education and experience they’ve gained here. It’s not often what people want to hear, but it’s better than representatives convincing them to continue throwing money at something that has no likelihood of success, only to line their pockets with more money. I had two consultations with people this week, who received terrible advice from their consultants on continuing to file frivolous applications that only made matters worse for them. Please, please be careful who you trust your future with.

@@CanadianImmigrationInstitute this is something I’m really afraid of. A consultation recommend me to remove my wife from the EE to increase my score. And once I get my PR, I would be able to sponsor her, even she living with me in Canada and having the OWP. What do you think about?

@@harrys4800 don’t over generalize. Clearly going to Ontario or British Columbia can be an unwise decision. However, provinces like Alberta and Saskatchewan did not suffer from the same insanity that is occurring in those other provinces. I love my city of Lethbridge and our college and university are excellent educational institutions. Housing is tight across the country, but when your only focus is Toronto or Vancouver, yes, I agree, that decision may not provide the opportunities you’re looking for. I also want to point out that the international student program was never intended to be a pathway to permanent resident status. The creation of express entry accelerated this pathway.
