@@tony1721 Ya man we are going back into the heat and they are calling for rain over here too. But that gives us time to clean and sort our treasure..😁
Quite a mix!....The chisels are a good find. As a British German I am compelled to object to Gedore and Heyco spanners being called ´cheap`😉...The Heyco was also marked West Germany which is a guide to it´s age. I collect old German tools along with anything Brit I can find - quite a bit as this area was swarming with British Forces until recently. I too have amassed a small non-collection of small Gentlemens Penknives - wonder why?. Keep up the good work Ant!
As a “Brit” that lived in Germany fur 14 years, one of the German makes I never warmed to was Gedore 💕just something about them😊I can imagine the forces left quite a few tools in the area, I was in münster and osnabruck. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it 🇬🇧🇩🇪I miss German food like mad 😳
@@tony1721 Going to Osnatraz at the Weekend to spectate at a Hiilclimb!....Anothe place I used to visit a bit as a Soldier and a Civilan....Roberts Bks had 2 Gyms so was ideal for Basketball tournaments...Traz was the largest Garrison outside of the UK if I remember correctly.....A Great night out!!!..........I think......🍺🍺🍺
@StephenTurner-kd1ih some great pubs tbf, Rampendahl was my favourite, still got my glasses with my name inscribed on the lid , regulars only… best bier in Germany
Hi, none of the gouges that you described as “woodturning chisels” are actually for woodturning. They are carving gouges and would be very dangerous to use for turning. They are likely to break and seriously injured you if you try to use them for turning. That said, from the glimpse I got of them, they might be good quality gouges, possibly with boxwood handles.
