Those blade dispensers tend to give me trouble. The blades become stuck together as the oil coating dries and the blades then require more force to dislodge than a very sharp object should. Question about the Whitworth wrench sizing. Is that the fastener size vs the width across the flats?
A 1/2″ wrench fits a bolt with a head 1/2″ across. A Whitworth wrench is sized according to the diameter of the shank of the bolt, not the head.hope that helps, it’s a bloody minefield 🤣🤣

The try squares might have belonged to a school or tech college and been signed out to pupils/students or some such arrangement so the teachers knew who had which one. For there to have been at least eleven of them and all identical it seems that the numbers must have been to identify/account for each one.
The wrench with the square holes looks to me like a wrench for acetylene and similar gas cylinder valves. The little hammer is for shaping sheet metal on a shot bag.
Hey Ant! Great haul! Love the Marples screwdriver, Williams nice!!! Wonder if the squares were for a trade school? I'm not sure but that "tap handle" looks a lot like what I use for turning valves when the handles are broken. I love the little vise.You can totally fix it and bring it back!

Then square s I think as there numbered and have different colours on them may have come from a collage of some sorts being building collage engener ING collage or something of that nature as all the same size numbered and colour coded. Another nice collection of items. That poor vise can be saved. Shame what they’ve done to it though. Any of the wooden handled screwdrivers I see are all newer no name stuff. Nice that you found something made locally. I would guess those square came from a trade school or factory tool crib. They were numbered to keep track of them. That wrench was either a tap wrench or possibly a valve stem wrench. The round holes in it have stumped though. I also liked that cast frame saw. I wish things were still made like that.
