Just about 2 years of this game, so much content, creativity, and absolute bangers of soundtracks... The Funk goes on as long as this community thrives. Megaman123, 2022
The expurgated title can also just be seen as a reference to the madness combat episode, as the original expurgation song was also named in reference to that.
This might sound silly, but the Fading bit hits so goddamn hard if you count a bunch of the “major” mods as both canon and chronological. Letting BF hear Garcello’s voice again, and how powerful BF’s vocals sounded in response, was kind of goddamn beautiful.
This whole song just feels like a love letter to all of the FNF community. (edit) lmao you don't need to reply and say you agree thats part of there being a like button (edit) and of course because i said that you think it's funny to say you agree out of spite. it's not even funny, like a little bit at all (edit) okay two years later it is sort of funny actually
What started off as just a simple throwback and tribute to the days of Newgrounds has become SO much more, all thanks to the crazy talented people all throughout the FNF community. Whether it’s reviving other old Newgrounds properties not found in the main game yet, invoking nostalgia through classic internet trends and creepypastas, creating all-new original characters that have found themselves a new spotlight, or just plain messin’ around, FNF is such a unique case of an indie game, all because of its expansive, versatile, and creative modding community. And nothing showcases that better than this song right here. This is a spectacular love letter to the entire FNF community.
Bro that’s exactly what I’m always saying. FNF is one of those rare occasions for literally every possible IP in media to make a comeback and it’s also much more than just that. Friday Night Funkin really is something special, ain’t it?
1:59 this part hit me so hard, I love the build that that lead to this, and the tuning is just masterful! 👏👏👏👏 Garcello and Cassette Girl's parts are my definite favorites on the medley
I'm sure everyone had a moment in this update when they just cried out of pure joy, this is just an amazing tribute to all of the best mods that have come out in FNF and then some like with Killer Queen, for me the part that got me was the short moment when Crystalized played in this song, I love Camellia's music and I wasn't spoiled before I played this mod so when I heard it I was just speechless. The music's not the only thing to praise in this mod, but for the sake of being relevant to the video I'll leave it at that.
I love how this song has references to Improbable Outset, Ballistic, Calliope/Powerhouse, Genocide, Crucify, R.A.M, Zavodila, Manifest, Agoti, God Eater, Thunderstorm, Promenade, Endless, Fading, Distant Chuckle, and Animal in it!😄🤩😎👌
this is a musical masterpiece and i love every reference to all the fnf mods with my favorite parts being the cassette girl ones also, saruky makes the best fnf songs on the planet
I remember when I wanted to do my own tribute to the FNF community 1 year ago, it unfortunately didn't go too far but now I finally got what I always wanted, thanks
Even though parts of the song show up again, this sounds like a rough timeline of FNF's history. Starting with the classics like Improbable Outset and Ballistic, and newer songs such as Crucify (choir in the bg) and Endless showing up later. Great work Saruky 👍
The endless into crystallized gives me such crazy chills man, there’s not a single mod that has made me smile and physically geek more than this one just off the music alone and it’s just a freakin demo. Y’all really outdid y’all’s selves and if the original fnf creators haven’t reached out to you to feature in the full game then they have sorely missed an opportunity
@@loganhorner9760 you do know Nikku's voice imitation slightly makes the pitch higher right if you don't, try listening to Astral Projection because the entire song is Nikku using BF's voice (which is slightly high pitched)
i deadass started losing my shit at 1:50 this was like one of the first mods i actually decided to play blind and i was not expecting anything like this. the people who were saying indie cross is still better are real silent rn lmao
- 0:31 uses a mix between whitty and tricky's vocals (mostly whitty) - 0:40 references calliope/powerhouse aka tricky's most known theme - 1:10 and 4:02 are yukichi's vocals (cosmo calamity, forgotten og mod) and it's an original part - at 2:01 bf is singing crystalized too - i'm pretty sure cassete girl's vocals can also be heard at 2:40 and 5:53 - crucify's choir can also be heard at 4:02
Saruky you are a fucking legend. This is, without a doubt, the ultimate FNF song. All the OGs, so many references; everything that got me into FNF and more. I absolutely love it
Okay, so when i First saw this in the Trailer i was expecting this to be a mashup of every 3rd Phase Song of popular Mods. And its somewhat Correct? And thinking about it, If this has been Made over the course of development, some Mods probably Got Cut from the Song Or rather, i have the Feeling something was *Split* from the Song For good reason
Saruky's built different, man. And he's responsible for more than just Hotline 024: he's made songs for other mods, like Corruption, the Shaggy mod and the Entity mod.
*EVERY song, reference and voice I heard* in order of appearance -Start of Improbable Outset plays- -Start of Expurgation plays- Tricky: Improbable Outset Whitty: Ballistic + Improbable Outset Tricky: Calliope MissingNo + Tord + Cuphead: MissingNo Tabi: Genocide Tricky + Whitty: Improbable Outset + Ballistic Bob + Ron: Sing part of og song Hypno: Sing part of og song Hex: R.A.M Legion + Eteled: Sing part of og song Camellia: Crystalized (Instrumental) Garcello: Fading Camellia: Crystalized (Instrumental) Cassette Girl: Forgot this song’s name Ruv + Tricky + Whitty + Hex + MissingNo: Zavodilla OG Sky: Manifest Tricky + Whitty: Improbable Outset (+ Crucify Background choir) A.G.O.T.I + Tabi: A.G.O.T.I *(the song)* Legion + Hex + Whitty: Sing part of og song Shaggy + Matt: God-Eater / Thunderstorm Bob + Ron: Part of og song? *You expected this to be another Expurgation cover/remix, but it was me! THE ULTIMATE CULMINATION OF THE FNF MOD THAT STARTED IT ALL!* The first half reminded me of those FNF song mashups people made such as Absolute Rage (Whitty, Tricky, Tabi, & Agoti Phase 3 mashup songs). The featuring of Trollge and Eteled was spectacular surprises The second half...was so beautiful.... Fading literally made it feel like Garcello was ascending from heaven to sing one last battle with BF.... That reminder will always stay in BF's mind, canon or not. And then the cycle repeated itself once more with new life and Crucify and others were added! Like, I don't know what else to say that thousands of people haven't already said... This is what a FNF masterpiece sounds like. *"Heh."* *"Fun isn't something one considers when joining or becoming part of a new fanbase, with the risk of hatred, doxxing, toxicity, and so much worse looming over you, creeping up behind you, ready to take its toll on your life and change it forever..."* *"But this...."* *"This beautiful celebration of the culmination of so many brilliant and creative minds thinking alike..."* *"...does put a smile on my face..."* *"For as much as the darkness prevails, light will always succeed in the end..."* *"Remember this."*
This song as shown the amount of mods and work the community has, there are some issues here and there, but this is the journey that led us here with the entertainment FNF has given us.
what a tribute to the entirety of the FNF community. This community left an impact on this era for the better or for the worse and im glad that someone out there is doing such a great banger and tribute to it
I don’t know why but every time I hear this and every time the voice of the opponent changes, it feels like I’m hearing BF rap against a Transforming Pokémon like Mew or Ditto although I know it’s not but it feels like it though and as a Pokémon fan, this makes me love it even more
This is what expurgation SHOULD have been. I've been listening to this every time I play smash or call of duty black ops 2. I somehow am able to triple my skill level listen to this during those times, and for that I THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A BANGER SONG
I love the multiple references and voice usages in the song. The fading part hit me SO goddamn hard. Same with the Endless part, The way it just slow downs, but you can still notice it's endless is amazing. Amazing work with this song and all the others. This has to be one of my favorites along with mirror magic.
Oh my goodness, there's SO MANY REFERENCES, this song is really amazing, they really went out on this, well deserved rest after this 🤘💗🌟💗🤘HELL YEAH🤘💗🌟💗🤘
feels good to see trollge files get some love in this song, for a mod with so many views on gamebanana people sure do barely talk about it. banger song, banger mod, hell yeah
This song is already an absolute masterpiece on it's own, but I have challenge for cover artists and mashup makers alike, should any of them accept such a challenge: If/when Expurgated is allowed to be covered and/or used in a mashup, attempt create an extraordinary cover/mashup of Expurgated (With a song or songs of your choice should you make a mashup with Expurgated). It is optional, but it will likely serve as perhaps the ultimate challenge to overcome for those wishing to make covers/mashups of/featuring Expurgated.
I don't think anyone would even be able to make a Mashup, cover or even remix of any Hotline 024 songs, not because the creator may not allow them, but because the level for the songs in this mod is so high most creators can't make something sound even similar to this.
You sneaky genius saruky you… it took me a while to hear the zavodilla reference and even longer to hear the fact that you actually put ruv in the song. This is truly a song of history
@@CarlosAlexandre-gv2kn it’s extremely subtle, in fact it’s almost impossible to hear in the full song itself. I only discovered it through the files but believe me, it’s there
I think it would sound like this: In her Normal voice: Get ready- Tricky's voice: TO DIE, Cassette Girl's voice: By these- Ron's voice: NUTS!1!!1 Haha! Got- Red's voice: ta catch 'em a- Tricky's voice: AAAAAAAA- Amogus voice: -MONG US!!!! idk, probably very chaotic.
during the zavodila part you can slightly hear ruvs voice, and dang must i say that it works so well the fact aswell tahts its can be only heard slightly could reference because though mid fight masses is gone we all remember it as one of the best mods out there, if not the best saruky did amazing with this and it needs all the respect from the fnf community
dude this part goes hard 2:00 but personally how i feel it as garcy singing and bf just remembers what happens and starts screaming out as he remembers garcello's death
