No matter where they're grown, figs can either be common or caprifigs (which need pollination by the wasp). If it's been ripened where there are no wasps, it's common. PA doesn't have the wasp. Therefore, Exquisito is common. :)
@@drea4195 Caprifigs are male figs that pollinate via the wasp or you can do it manually. Common refers to figs that don't require pollination AKA caprification to hold and ripen their fruit although it can make them larger and improve their flavor. Smyrna types require caprification, and San Pedro types require caprification for the main crop.
Good morning Ross; I brought two cuttings from California while I was visiting my daughter. This is the second year, have no fruit yet. I keep them in the garage in winter. How long will take to have the fruits.
