And the love felt for Neil Peart is immediately shown in the audience for this appropriate South Park anniversary. This was the perfect moment for Geddy and Alec to play together on a live stage again. Love is shown in many ways. Their grief at the loss of Neil was terrible to watch. Geddy is so unbelievably amazing that after 7 years of not playing in public he can go out there like that, sound that good, and sustain those notes at the end and just look like he’s having a blast. And on top of that, if I had to play in front of my musical hero’s, which is also Rush, I would not have done anywhere near as well as Matt did. Incredible. Seeing Alex and Geddy on stage having fun like this has me in tears right now. So thankful I got to see them live on their final tour.
