Not surprised by the result (I have Wales to win this year's title), but I am surprised that they came back from being down 0 - 16! Such a pity France seldom plays at full tilt for 80 minutes

Sorry but I’d say 2nd half time was 16 vs 14 men on the pitch, with the referee Jonker clearly allowing a try with and obvious forward pass

Reminds me of 2013, when Wales got hammered by Ireland in the first half of the opening match. Wales were 30-3 down at one point but fought back to lose by 22 points to 30. Then Wales went on to win the championship.

That loss v Ireland was on my birthday 2nd Feb , then on 16th March, the day after my 1st Buddhist meditation session and becoming vegetarian, we won 30-3 v England to win the title, which had seemed impossible at half time v Ireland. Wales must improve a lot on the match v France to win it again this time.

This last match didn't lie :) France playing all the rugby, and Wales escaping through flucky tries, a stupid red card and lucky decisions. It's up to this young France to grow up for their World Cup 2023 and become a much more "killer" team

The tries may have come from French mistakes but North still had to chase down the lost cause and take the chance for the first, and ran 15-20 metres to intercept and gather for his second. Lucky the French made the mistakes, but wouldn't say they were lucky tries, just the reward of his efforts.

Say all you want about 'gifted trys'. The simple fact is, when mistakes are made, the other team still has to actually play well enough to take advantage. If this had been NZ, Ire, Eng, Aus, SA vs the French I guarantee people would be spinning it differently saying 'how well they stayed in the game and took their chances'. So much bias against teams like Wales and Scotland.

It's only a sport. UK is a European nation. Wales, Scotland and England are not independent nations. At rugby Ireland is a mix of Republic of Ireland and an official part of UK. As a Welshman why prefer England to beat Ireland?

Their pack and backs performed well in the first half . Ball to hand skills were very good. Lambey in the second half was very good. Brunel should mark that lad. He's good. They need Marcheaud or maybe Dupont at Scrum half. Morgan Parra has had his day. You are English I think , Cabbage man. That French Team will descend like a horde of hungry hippo's upon the cabbage patch. Good luck boyo! :D

Maybe they changed the rules since I played, but second French try should not have counted, as 14 ran behind 2 of his teammates creating an obstruction; play should been blown dead right there. Good thing it was a moot point, since Wales won anyway.

French rugby is like English football (no talent) , too many foreigners in the clubs and no base development so when you want to make up a team , well you have mediocre players to choose from. French rugby is finished for at least ten years and more if the corrective steps are not taken soon.
