I'm Saudi and Arabic is my native language. However, I keep watching the English version of the highlight because of the outstanding English speaking commentary and the commentator's great sense of humar. To have him start today's highlight with a spot on Arabic greeting had me to have to stop the video and write this comment.. Thank you for making the rally more exciting and entertaining. شكرا shokran

He has the best shot at winning Dakar and it just ends like this. Loprais is a good guy for doing this, but I can't feel sorry for the Italian man. What an absolute nonsensical decision to stand literally on top of the racing tracks (visible on the sand).

For those wondering about the Loprais accident: Ales uploaded a video on his channel, including the footage and a very emotional statement. I respect his descision to quit the Rallye, but I hope he's back next year.

@@packfadly A 'race incident' is a generalisation that's more related to an issue between two teams or race officer. A 'tragedy' is the dead of a person, that the organisation didn't even mentioned officially.

Agreed. We also didn’t get to see or hear about a car and quad accident from last week where quad stopped just behind a dune and a car drove over him - he was airlifted and went straight to France for surgery. Where is that info?

The best Motorsport poetry ever ! If I see the French commentary video posted before the English I watch it anyway even though I don’t understand it. Some people here are critical of the way yesterday’s fatal accident was mentioned in this video, all I will say is that this must be the most difficult subject to deal with in any Motorsport video.

"Just an incident!"... A man died, Loprais quit from being seriously affected. He was leading. You can't just gloss over it even if you like to keep the show light and quirky. I had to Google to find this out as Dakar media is not talking about it.

you're absolutely right! the AI is so aggressive that whenever I overtake my heart sink fearing that they will hit me as soon as they notice. Also the driving is really unpredictable in all classes, except for trucks they seems to do fine

Ales Loprais is with no guilt in that accident and on the other hand Dakar should show some respect telling someone died and maybe that people should be more careful. They are acting like nothing happened. Just leader withdrew and there was "accident". Someone died ! Jeez. Crazy. Crazy for that italian man and also they should show some support for Ales Loprais.

Its so amazing that we have "extended" videos now that are longer than 45 seconds... saldy Im used not to wach Dakar... since your purpose was to destoy interest of Dakar for more than 5 years... you have succeeded... most of us dont have time for this.. but keep up the good work on making some sence, and videos with actual lenght... for next generations of human..
