Jason England came to the Wednesday Night Las Vegas Magic club several years back and did a routine for me based on a Mathieu Bich effect with 51 gaffed cards. Jason reduced it down to 38 gaffed cards and 14 real cards. I went home that night and worked out a method with a regular pack of cards. My approach took an old Jack Merlin effect, The Sequence Effect, from "And a Pack of Cards," page 19 and extended the plot from one surprise to four. I showed it to Jason the following week, and we fine-tuned it into this handle, which I published in my Card Theater lecture notes, 2019.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my channel. This effect is in my Card Theater lecture notes, 2019, page 93. The routine is about the same difficultly level as the original Jack Merlin effect. He had six false-deals, and The Extended Merlin has three false-deals plus four adjustments. I had the actual Jack Merlin effect on Vol 2 of the Advanced Card Control Series. Check allanackerman.com. WOW! Allan, thank you. From a spectator's point of view you do absolutely nothing. 5 stars, ha. I have practiced the original of one suit. I can see your routine would be at least a year project to learn and well worth it. Because I have seriously studied most of your material I have some ideas of the moves, but still unable to follow. Ultimate beauty!

That's a nice trick Allan, very clean. I'm going to look at geting your Card Theatre lecture notes to learn this.

I like your Order from Chaos presentation of this trick. Citing inspiration from the Merlin book prompted me to pull out my copy of, ...and a Pack of Cards (from which as teen I created my first original presentation using the plunger principle.) to see his trick on pg. 19. Thanks for inspiring me to pull out that old book. So much to revisit. I got that book about 1977, paying just $3.50. I think this trick would make an entertaining routine using the Merlin (and/or this trick) with others that reset the arrangement of the deck such as the ‘Leipzig, would have loved this’ by Malone/Marlo. I think another effect of this type was also created by Vernon/Cervon.

Thank you for reminding me of the "Leipzig Would Have Loved This" - I forgot all about that routine. If you remember the Vernon/Cervon effect and what book it is in - drop me a line.

I may have mis-cited. I was thinking of , A Taste of Curry from Howard Hamburg’s, The D Notes. It uses two 10-card packets, one is secured with a rubberband.
