It's hard to keep up with Chris a lot of the time, but this interview really connected the dots for me.

last week I met Chris in a dream.. I was so excited, I didn't talk to him about his work until the end- thanked him so much and shook his hand. his presence was filled with strength and warmth as if I was really there with him.

Chris is so smart, it's hard to find a good interviewer. It'll take someone with a math phd.

I feel like dumb every time I listen to Chris

As always laying out the facts straight, also if there wasn't a space time we probably would be able to perceive time at all or experience change in phenomena in any significant way also.

I'm very new to meditation and today when I sat down to do it, it was an unusual experience. First I saw something that looked like patterns of pulsating hexagons drifting under me in a wavy-like blurry landscape, then suddenly I became hyper-aware, it was like that I left a foggy state of conscioussnes into a higher form. Simultanously, it felt like my body became light and a feeling that could be best described as that my soul was leaving my body. I stopped almost immidiatelly because of the fear that I was actually detaching from this level of reality in some sense and was about to transistion into an unknown layer of reality where I don't really belong. To add some potential important context, I went into the meditation with the intention of connecting with reality and understand it, but maybe I was just not ready for it yet. Could anyone help me with what I should do when reaching one of these states?

One of the questions I have not heard anyone ask Chris is how can he relate to people when there is such a wide intelligence gap? Does he have to condescend down to our level similar to how we will speak down to children? I have heard it said that people with a high IQ are not able to relate to people several deviations below them especially when it comes to management and expectations. Chris seems gracious in these interviews but I can imagine that he might wish that the conversation would be steered in a more stimulating direction so they didn't have to deal with these pedestrian topics. If I were to have Chris on my show, I would ask him to give me a set of questions to ask him so that he could go down the rabbit holes that are interesting to him rather than to us ordinary people. I was also wondering that in his community in the countryside, does he have any close friends that he enjoys being with even though they may not have the philosophical interest in his favorite subjects? I can imagine that there will be some very intelligent people living a rural life that are very capable of carrying on a conversation if they were of the mind. I just heard of a concept called the IQ Shredder where intelligent individuals leave their rural communities to go to university in big cities. After getting their fancy degrees, there is nothing for them in the countryside anymore and so they find jobs in the city. Also sucks in people from India and other foreign countries to leave their countries to come to American universities. But once they are here, they stay in the big cities where they can make use of their fancy degrees. This depletes the intelligence from the rural areas which doesn't give back. To add insult to injury, these high IQ individuals tend not to have children and therefore do not repopulate high IQ offspring which depletes the overall IQ of their nations.
