I thought the crashes and his staring were so funny in this rough cut. I agree about the anticlimactic parts. I wish Captain EO had been longer or could've been made into another film. Disney needs to bring it back so I can see it the way it's meant to be seen. Loved this video!
I saw Captain EO at the Epcot center in Orlando FL. What was awesome to me about this was how Michael was Pop locking and notice 2 of dancers were really into it. Pop locking not robot was the dance craze. And Michael was showing how current he was.
Wow, it's been ages since I've last seen Captain EO and OMG, still an iconic piece of work to this day! I remember seeing this movie at Epcot at Walt Disney World in 1995 with my family at age 5 and thinking when Michael first appeared on screen, "Who is that guy? He's cute." Thanks for sharing this, MJfangirl, and love your shirt!!!
Mj fan girl, this is so beautiful!I love captain EO ,Michael is a real life super hero, thats why this role suits him, he has done a fantastic job of acting too, dancing in this is out of this world, love this! You looks so cute mj fan girl I love your reaction, love and blessings to you and all mj fans all over the world.
I saw this for the very first time at the cinema before Moonwalk. They played the Thriller short film, Captain Eo and the Bad short film and then Moonwalker... It was one of those cheap ma and pa owned cinemas. I have no idea how they got Captain Eo, let alone in 3D, but they did. An amazing experience seeing all four MJ films on the big screen.
Geek observation: right at the end where it shows a planet with a kind of explosion, that’s from Star Trek II, The Wrath of Khan (1982) and was the first use of CGI in a movie. It’s called the “Genesis wave” effect. Obviously it was a placeholder for the real ending.
Thanks for reacting 2 this @MJFangirl. I always get nostalgic watching Capt. EO, I was 7 years old back in 1986 & watched it at Disneyland. And also watched it in 2009 after MJ passed away. Glad it's on RU-vid so new fans can experience it.
If you watch the final (released) version, at the end when he’s singing APOM and heading out the exit, they do a close up of his face in which his hair is much longer. Clearly they filmed extra segments during which he was growing out his hair. Also, the moonwalk in the final version is a later addition and his hair is also longer (there is a video I’ve seen somewhere of the moonwalk filmed against a green screen)
You're totally right. I noticed that too watching the other rough cut (where you can see the blue "green" screen (re-)filming of the moonwalk. I guess MJ was not satisfied with the not enough slippery ground on actual set. And his haircut is slightly different (a bit longer à la Bad era, less Thriller-esque like in the version here). So interesting to see!
Hello this is Doc-Mach's with A.S.K. Paranormal, I loved growing up with Michael Jackson in the 70's & 80's & watching his awesome performances. There has never been, nor shall there ever be another MJ, you will be missed by those that knew your heart...and it was the best heart in the world.
@@PlayitagainVHS yes I get it what Disney should really do is just bring back the attraction at the Disney Parks in addition to releasing it on Blu-ray as well as put it on Disney +
I simply loved it, thoroughly enjoyed it.I am so happy to see lovely Michael Jackson not just singing & dancing but he looks so cute while acting.Love u forever MJ💋💋💋👶🤴🌹🌹🌹
After watching this post, I don't think I have ever seen the entire Captain EO video. I went to Cali a few years ago to see it, but they were closed the day we went. Thanks for sharing this rare gem with us. Very cool.
I watched Captain EO many times and Michael obviously did an outstanding Job😍😍. I love the movie only for him coz he was looking like a zaddy🤤🤩. Aww but I missed the live stream 😔.
Ok Anishka...I'm not even gonna address that statement. I finally watched it for the first time a few months ago. I liked it. It was a cute and nice story, and I liked the comedy in it, even if it wasn't intended to be funny. I loved Michael's demeanor throughout the film. I thought his acting was great
@@annieray5747 I've watched it. I haven't seen it all at once from beginning to end, which I need to, but I've basically seen all of it. It was good. His acting was pretty good
@MJFANGIRL TV, I love captain eo very much. I love Michael Jackson captain eo hairstyle very much. Michael Jackson looked so beautiful, so handsome, so cute, so sweet in captain eo.
When I found out that Mike was in a movie which was this one I flipped lol. I loved it from the moment I saw it❤️ he looked sooo good and his acting was amazing. I think he’s an incredible actor and of course singer and dancer. The king 👑🔥
Late reply - but she actually made a video a while back reacting to and comparing Thriller and Ghosts. You might have meant for a video where she just focuses on Ghosts though.
I grew up 10 min from Disneyland and have seen this at Disneyland at least 100 times as a child in the early 90s. There were always long lines for this. It was in 4D. It was in 3D, so you got glasses, the seats moved, there was smoke, and lights. It was pretty cool. This was one of my favorite attractions. I never got tired of it.
I love Captain EO, but getting to see it in rough cut form was cool, & that stare he does to transform the queen was mesmerizing, lol....I love watching behind the scenes of productions ,I really enjoyed this👍🏾
Fun Fact: Starlight Sun (Not The Thriller Demo) was a special unreleased snippet song made just for the movie but was cut out of the original film but appeared only in the rough cut.
Childhood favorite then saw it as an adult. Divine timing when I visited my childhood city Orlando. I just got the shirt you have. In the video you don't see the whole thing but it looked like rainbow but now I know it's not a rainbow lol. Still a cool shirt. I plan to dance some of thos at my wedding but it's top secret no one knows except the sound guy lol.
Great! What a rough video footage copy of MJ's director's diseny's cut of that footage film there girl? Interesting but, it needs some more reevampings into today's millennial generations of today's viewing film markets too.. Don't you agree with me? A re-make movie, so that I as a fan can go, like every others of MJ Fans will enjoy the updated film of Captain EO OK?! Agreed?! Thank u!!.. I also enjoied you're reaction video on this to as well girl. Kinda in a way enjoied what you've uploaded here with this video. THANK!!.. God Bless.
There were some bloopers other than Michael Jackson getting hit in the eye with one of the whips. For example, a Whip Warrior's helmet fell off. You can see this and the other bloopers in "The Making of Captain EO", hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.
Somebody probably told you this but this NOT the correct video by him. I know this because i saw it as a teen when it debuted at Disneyland. Find the original video you wont be disappointed.😊
