As you can probably tell from some of my other videos/my intro here, I have some health issues and it's been a little rough the past couple of weeks. So, please do forgive me for my slow response to comments or if I can't get to them all. I am reading them though and I'm so grateful for the support and insight from all of you!

Dimash Kudaibergen. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and receiving his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his PhD. He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. Is vocals range from a rich low baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has Hit a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. His concerts are usually about 3 hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turn this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music. He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra. As of May 24th, 2021 he will celebrate his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances that has released several albums the first one going platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has designated his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history. Thanks for reacting, I enjoyed and appreciated it. He's from a singing family: mom is a pro opera singer, dad is a contemporary singer. Dimash was started on voice lessons at 5, when his piano teacher realized he has perfect pitch. Since he was a tiny boy he's focused and worked towards becoming a singer. He's been on stage since he was a toddler; his incredible stage presence was learned early and through a ton of experience. He's the real deal: amazing voice/vocal talent, obsessive attention to detail and learning, the eye and ear of an artist. He sings in many genres, and always well - often spectacularly well. He was offered a position at Astana Opera House soon after he graduated with his 4 year degree, but declined in favor of a pursuing his dream of singing cross-over/combined genres. There's a ton of songs out there for you to listen to: almost every one will surprise or shock you with something new. Buckle your seat belt and enjoy the ride!

Welcome to Dimash's world. I will never get tired of watching people's first reaction to him. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my RU-vid recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him. From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto, and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

SOS is an old French song. Dimash sang it in French. The words are not important when you listen to his performances. Dimash has master's degrees in many different types of music. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives. Death creates in us a feelings of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. Dimash's mother is an opera singer, and his father is also a singer, with a really fine pop music voice. You will probably get a boatload of suggestions from Dimash's fans (who he calls his "Dears"), because you have just scratched the surface of the talent of this remarkable musician. I first heard Dimash about a year ago after reading comments about this guy on RU-vid. What I saw and heard was just extraordinary...I've never heard or seen anything like Dimash in my 70 years on this planet. Not a day goes by without me listening to one or more of his quite numerous performances. He is a very rare combination of incredible talent, intensive training, and an unmatched stage presence. You just got Dimash'd by a vocal god. no other in the world can come close to our hero. He sings in 12 languages, plays 7 instruments and speaks fluently in 4. He is the most humble loving person you would want to meet. He refers to his fans as "Dears" because we are so Dear to him, and you will very soon see by the comments you are about to get flooded with, that Dimash is the most loved performer to us Dears. Try Sinful Passion from this same venu. Each song, Each note each pause and facial expression are show stoppers. As a reactor, you will find it very difficult to find a spot to "pause and react " to because every thing he does is simply perfect. For those who love Dimash, another must see singer is Zhou Shen from China. Because of his small stature, feminine disposition and voice, he was often bullied in school. Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went to the Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did. As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye". For something different from him, watch his version of "Ring the Doorbell", "Let It Go" and "Monsters". Last, but definitely not least (there is so much more from him), enjoy the videos, "This is Me" and a very unique and fun song (one of my favs) "Da La Beng Ba". His biggest success is the song "Big Fish". Another singer that is highly rated is Hua Chenyu. Hua was performing on The Singer at the same time Dimash was being introduced to the world on that show. I have a recommendation list, but it is not really in any particular order. "Numchucks", "Child", I am what I am", "Fake Monk", "Friend", and "Dad, I'm Home". With the song, "Dad, I'm Home", it is one of the saddest songs developed. Mind you, Hua Chenyu is a very unique artist doing his own thing. You never really know what you are going to get with each of his songs. Neither Zhou Shen or Hua Chenyu are the full package that Dimash displays, but they are both unique and special with their skills.

Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

Dimash is an Opera singer - classically trained for over 20 years, (Yup. Starting aged 5 and training daily), who decided it would be far more fun to 'play' across ALL genres.
