It was interesting to watch the process of melting of gold and the various stages it undergoes and a lot of work is involved in it, before the precious metal is turning to its final shape . It appears, it is a time consuming process and a lot of hard work is involved in it. The man who is on the job appears to be very disciplined as he is fully concentrating on his work rather than anything else. He is fully aware of his importance , considering his job responsibilities, as he is dealing with the most costliest metal , which is considered as the most favourite of every one -- the yellow metal !

but some of the gold get stick to the furnace...how you remove that afterall its a precious metal even single drop is worth lot

My question is, pouring from those crucibles by hand how do they insure the exact weight those gold bars are supposed to be? Is there a subsequent process to trim or add more gold to have an exactitude of the weight? Seems like a potentially fallible process. I had imagined that now there would be a mechanized system for doing this and it wouldn't be by hand. How much currency in gold are they paying these techs to make gold bars that is lost every time they do a gold meltdown?

I am involved in induction melting of precious metals as well and love to see this technology being used in the recycling industy. For jewellary they would normally pour anode plates to be electro-refined into 99.99% pure cathode plate, which is then melted to produce the bullion from which new jewellary is made. Love the use of graphite in the moulds - much longer life and no issues with bar removal. Well done. 👍👍👍

How do they purify it?

From what it appears, they've just melted down old jewellery into ingots. They haven't down any purification processing on this gold alloy material? Nor have they mentioned the purity of the metal they have melted down. This seems improper and a scam.

The gold was not extracted from the jewelry chemically before melting. There will be other metals added to the gold when made into jewelry to make it more robust. just melting it does not separate these. So that large bar was not pure gold.
