Everytime I think to myself "I could beat on of those super hard randos" Oats gets one that's just diabolical and it cures my hubris at an instant.

This will go down in history as the worst randomizer in SM. God awful seed.

The one bad thing about a hard rando that Oats gets stuck on is when chat tries to step in and 'help'. They either don't understand how the game works or haven't been paying attention to what Oats has already done/tried. I'd at least pull up the rando website and check the logic myself before I tried making any suggestions, because sometimes there's only one solution and it's the one Oats is trying, even if it takes multiple attempts for him to finally nail it. EDIT: But to give credit to one chatter at 54:48, I think what they meant is that the return grapple after collecting the item only requires the proper launch, with no need to actually catch the second set of grapple blocks, since the spikes don't run all the way to the right side of the room.

This seed brings back memories of the one Oats straight up quit because it required borderline TAS tricks.

Well this answers a question I've had for a while regarding the randomized start locations. Turns out you *can* spawn in a heated room.

I was a vanilla lover as a kid, as a teen, as an adult and now as a balding adult, and will continue to be so until the day I die Oats.

I looked up the trick with the grapple beam in the room after Baby Metroid to get the supers. The difficulty is listed as potentially appearing in 'very hard' setting. Baby Metroid directly before was brutal, though. He was focused on getting an impossible baby skip rather than the grapple timing. Add in the ridiculous sprite and it's a confluence of extremely dense garbage from the get go.

Payback for the last one

Starting in a heated room is one of the worst starting places in a map rando. Also Grapple Fly is in Hard logic 😬 should be in at least very hard to me

I think the Randomizer is late for it's April Fools Prank Seed (Currently 1:36 into the vid) & already loving it. Thanks for the vids you put out, even if sometimes you suffer some mental anguish to entertain us with your playing the games. Thanks again & hope all is going well with you & loved ones.

Am I missing something? I thought I saw a connector from green hills to another section of the map. Did oats talk about why it was a no-go and I missed it?

My ONLY thought for this was that MAYBE Mission Impossible was Supers. That's the only way you could get out afterwards and then you might have a bit more to work with.

Love how he wasted so much time throwing when he could've diagonal bomb jumped from the lower part of the room. I'm still giving the watch time and engagement because I appreciate his effort, nonetheless.

I swear the game gives Oats the worst layouts when he's using weird wide sprites. Pretty sure he'd know his edges better if he was using Alice for example.
