EXTREME closet declutter & makeover || Beautiful and practical solutions for visible storage 

Hi friends! Realized JUST now that I completely forgot an entire section of shopping-for-storage-solutions, so in case anyone is curious, I got these boxes at HomeGoods! Welcome to how my brain has been lately. HA!

I really appreciate a content creator that is so honest about how their brain works and how they problem-solve with minute things. I think the prettier the box, the better!!!!

Love this video! My grandmother always said "The things you use every day should be the prettiest things you own" and i couldn't agree with her more. Glad to find others who feel the same!

“ ‘Never prevent people from trying to help you’ “ -- I am SO glad that you shared this quote 😭 I am not good about accepting help. But after just having my 5th baby a month ago, in the midst of homeschooling my ADHD sons, and be a full-time mother/homemaker, AND manage a household, I am starting to burn out. Your videos are like a lifeline, Kristina! Your candor about your home, “hot spot clutter areas”, your adhd struggles with overstimulating clutter, and showing up real-life with no makeup or in your grubby clothes (because sickness) is just SO REFRESHING. I feel so much what you go through and I am amazed how you are able to get a project like this done and do it BEAUTIFULLY!! It also was really helpful to hear the “cost” side of the project… I feel like not many content creators acknowledge the price tag for decluttering and the amount that organization can cost with a new system…. As someone in the lower side of income, hearing your process for budgeting and planning this overhaul was really comforting. I know that sounds silly but it was so reassuring. That I could do it responsibly too without breaking the bank. I struggle with the “out of sight out of mind” too but I hate have all these areas of my home stuffed with the items “ out of sight” so that it is not visually overwhelming! Lastly, I’d love a “Tea and Chat magazines” member area ❤ I am a SAHM but I do pay $1 to another YT channel and $1 to a Patreon music account. I know it’s not much but I try to support my favorite content creators ❤

Beautiful job! Don't minimize all the effort that you went to! You say "my little video" but that was a Herculean effort! And it was entertaining as well. You managed a great project because of and despite being neurodivergent. You are truly unique, and you don't have to take the back seat to anybody! I think you managed to do a better job than most people would have! If it had been a school project, I would have given you an A-Plus! While I was watching, I couldn't help but think, "is she going to able to clear off the bed in time to go to sleep? You are so beautiful, both inside and out!

What a transformation! I think your new system is going to work beautifully for you. Years ago I realized that, like you, I had difficulty putting things away because of the inconvenience or lack of storage. My piles were never-ending and the visual clutter was so stressful. I bought pretty and functional storage and am still using it more than a decade later. I also use the containers as a way to maintain the amount of things I can manage. If things are spilling out of the containers, it's time for me to declutter. If you walked in to my place now, you would assume that I was "born neat" because everything is in its place. Nope! I learned how do it. Little by little we can figure out what works best for us. Thanks for the inspiration 🌸

I don't normally comment, I'm a shy ND girlie but if it helps a teensy bit to boost you, then I can get out of my comfort zone! Your videos have been such a comfort to me in illness, they really are like a warm hug! You work really hard on your closest organisation and I admire your work ethic as well as how you work with your ND and not against it.

Absolutely beautiful results! It amazes me how much you accomplish while mothering 5 beautiful children, making a home, and dealing with your neurodivergence and add. You are an amazing woman! Hubby and I are both neurodivergent - one of the tricks we have used is Ikea Kallax units and boxes which are clearly labelled with what’s in them. That cuts down on visual clutter but stops hubby’s ADHD “out of sight out of mind thing”. Now he knows exactly where things are without having to see EVERYTHING! The fight goes on 🥰😘

I really enjoyed this video! I'm also an ADHD neurodivergent. With a dash of OCD. So, I deeply appreciate the organization! I get easily overwhelmed by clutter. It can take me weeks, or even a few months, of not being able to deal with any accumulated clutter before I get to a place where I can tackle the big projects. I like your boxing idea! And the labels! I think your bedroom is cozy, welcoming, and adorable! Thank you for posting this!

I saw a creator on IG make wreath out of vintage hankies. Maybe you could make a wreath for your door with the collars.

I understand the struggles that come with AD/HD. My son has struggled with it since birth. One of his biggest struggles is with change. Just simple changes like a closet reorganization will drive him crazy. Your video was great!❤❤

As a 60+ woman who also has ADHD, this was phenomenal!!!! GREAT JOB! I so need to do this to my whole house. Because of the "out of sight, out of mind" problem, my closets are almost empty, but the house itself looks like a hoarder house. It's horrible. Whenever I see someone overcome this, it just warms my old heart. 💖💖💖

I've recently moved into my grandmother's house , with all of her things, and been completely overwhelmed. Thank you for helping me get the dishes washed at least!

I really like how you made it clear that this might not be cheap and you planned ahead for the expense. It's quite nice to approach a project like that. I typically try to just use whatever I have around the house and resort to the nth degree. I may adopt a budgeting mindset and plan ahead for possible expenses before trying to tackle cluttered spaces.

I’ll watch you declutter anything clothing related. I pile of clothes also..my bedroom is a mess. It’s all clean but I live in a 40s bungalow w not much space, let alone bedroom closet room. Well, here is an idea for the collars I do. Take a plain t-shirt and add the collar, instant "vintage" pull on looking blouse, does that make sense? Rolling the clothing is similar to range rolling, it is how the military pack their packs and saves so much space.

Wow, that doesn’t even look like the same closet🎉🎉 beautiful job! Actually, when I first got married, I had two sets of my grandmothers and my aunts waterfall furniture complete with the dresser, the wardrobe, the mirror, the vanity, the mirror, and the bench, through years of moving and divorce, they are gone. I never realize how precious those were to me, I now have my mother and father spare bedroom mahogany furniture, and I am 73 so I’ve had it since I was in my 30s❤

I love the boxes. I don’t suffer from ADHD, but I do understand the out of sight out of mind thing. I love getting inspiration from various organizational ideas, and love the idea of pretty boxes. I might have to think how I can incorporate them into my own house.

It turned out great! The boxes are so pretty! I love flower patterns

I started to do two things that really helped me with storing while not forgetting: (1) Using my jewelry as decoration so it has a place and I see it and can just throw it on. (2) Getting those lose fake plants and flowers, getting a plastix box. Glueing the fakes on the inside on one of the long and one of the short sites. This way they don't collect dust and whatever I store in the box can still be seen if I wanna see it but it can also be put away and look cute! I use it for things that I don't need often but still need to know that I have them.

Hi, I’m 68 years old and a total 7up baby says nobody ever! lol! That ad was hysterical! 😳 let’s feed the baby soda! I so relate to having pretty and functional storage, Kristina! It helps me stay on top of the clutter piles for sure! I use vintage hanging garden wire planter baskets in my closet for my scarves! Works great and so cute and affordable! Yes to a dresser clean out video! Your organization vids are awesome!

I would enjoy a tea and chat looking through vintage magazines and beauty books. I think turning unused surfaces into a piling place is common, both my husband and I are guilty of it. The closest looks great! It's so nice to have organization that works for you. I'm a big believer in organization is worthless if it didn't work for the people actually using it. Thanks for internet hugs and keeping me virtual company while I finished my unliked but necessary for this project hand sewing.

Just love your honesty and your ability to be vulnerable and trusting with all of us. I don’t let anyone in my closet🤪I am totally embarrassed about it. I’ve moved so many times everything has been purged I think could be purged. Then my closet gets cluttered again within a year. And I too struggle not to dump things. I am at the point now where if I see a pile I ask myself “Does it need a home? Is there a need for a new solution? Do I need to just put it away? So, it has taken me 10 years in this house to finally get to a point where most things have homes & I have a somewhat organized storage room which yes needs some tlc but meh… work in progress!
