I am so excited for today's video! I have been NEEDING to go through and declutter all of my decor! You guys know I have a tendency to hoard home decor, and it is truly taking over my entire house. We are going to go through boxes and totes and really get in there and get rid of it all! I already feel so much lighter and I can't wait to tackle the rest of the house! I heard a person say a person's stuff is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I heard that usually, people do not get back even a quarter for what they paid for something and most items significantly decrease in value over time and quickly after purchase, a specific season, trend, etc. I have never heard of home decor going up in value. I would imagine that is why some people go to garage sales, yard sales, and flea markets because they know they usually can bargain with prices and get significantly lower prices than in stores. Some people hold on to their stuff and end up with a bunch of stuff because they overvalue it and hold on to it for a price that the item will likely not sell for. Good luck with all your stuff.

I can so relate! We had yard sales for years, mainly because we needed the money. But it was so stressful dealing with people. Though we could still use the money, now we just call Vietnam Veterans of America and they come and pick up everything. In fact, I have stuff on the porch today for them!

Hi Mandy, didn't get to see what this different Linda said but when something like that happens to me I just "look at the shape of their head and forgive 😅 them 🤣🤣" that should say a lot. But anyhow you do what you feel best for you, in your heart and in your head. My theory is people don't live their lives for me I'm not about to live my life for them. And your yard sale sounds great. I'm hoping to have one in June I'm thinking of advertising it as a NO HAGGLING NO BARGAINING YARD SALE, and put my prices as rock bottom as possible. Anything I was going to donate I'm thinking of putting on a different table for free but make a sign "buy something get something free, buy 2 items get 2 items free" and so on. Anyhow, great motivation on your video and gave me some ideas, thanks so much. Happy yard sale-ing. 😊🙂

We don’t do yard sales here in England, but boot sales. You drive to a field with 100’s of others to set up and sell your stuff. I did one once and hated it! I was selling a YSL suit for £20, someone wanted it for 50 pence, I pulled it out of her hands and threw it back in the car! Good luck with your sale!

I know exactly what you're talking about with the ceiling. I just bite the bullet and use a broom. It knocks the itty bittty popcorn crap down. But I can vacuum that. The swifter catches on the pointy stuff. Lol. I've spent the last three years decluttering every corner of my house. I'm much more settled. Great video girl!!!

I generally have a yard sale with my community every summer and one with my niece as well and I usually pull in around $400!

The space looks so much better now Mandy, what are your plans for the space now it is nearly empty? Maybe you could update the couch by putting on a new cover? I think you will make about 450.00 dollars on your garage sale. It would be easier to give an estimate if we knew how much you were asking for each piece. You have some good stuff in there, I will keep my fingers crossed and I hope it goes well for you. Thanks for sharing today, that looked like a lot of work!

Hi Mandy! I can relate about the yard sales. First of all you buy the item for good money then you work your tail off to organize the yard sale. Then you have someone come up and offer a .25 I don’t think so Linda 😂. You did really great. Best of luck on your yard sale. I want to come to it. I would probably buy it all,Lol. I had a garage sale once a d almost punched some lady in the face because she wanted to give me $2.00 for a TV that was 2 years old, worked perfectly and I paid $350 for it! I've never had another sale after that! I was afraid I'd hurt someone!! 😂😂
