In order for the hangers to hang properly, bring them closer to the front. I'd recommend measuring your hangers then installing the poles

Hey y’all. For an easy type of “anchoring” u can put something under the front of the bookshelves on each side. Keep the two items the same size. (I’m using 2 pieces of wood about the size of a blush compact)You don’t want anything super large because this is meant to tilt the shelves back so the weight is distributed a lil more safely. Happy closeting!

I know this video is old but if you move your rods towards the front of the bookcase, you’ll be able to use adult hangers.

If you slide the shelves forward about 4 inches you’ll be able to use standard hangers. You don’t have the backs on two cabinets so those will fit.
