As someone who has spent the best part of 45 years engaged in all manner of outdoor pursuits from Hiking to rock and ice climbing instructor and snowboarding , van living , wild camping 15 years army and lots of stuff i can't even remember i really appreciate your channel because you get yourself out there and carry decent amounts of weight and genuinely love what you do as apposed to certain people who do it mostly to carve a living out of social media and crowd pleasing and jumping on the waggon when it comes to lefty agendas...You are a real man Tony and when i hear sloppy sissy stuff on wild camping channels i am just so glad that the Russians are not attacking us because there are not enough real men to fight a pub brawl in this country let alone a foreign invasion...Always be yourself and be true to yourself instead of jumping on the government agenda band wagon. You know what amazes me is that some of the poor desperate lost souls who follow me a real proper hardened Outdoors people here in UK but I'm kinda thinking 🇺🇸 too the good old Yanks have followed me for years and still do. Not many lol but definitely some that really know their stuff and get out way beyond what I do and its humbling if that word not over used to imagine folks like that watch me as I don't do that much (trying further afield now where able etc) but even when I was having fun on the moors they'd watch. The numbers show on analytics too a good 25% are across pond 35% minimum UK and oddly a small mix thereafter from every where else including Japan given my low numbers probably one Japanese 😀 but still impressive. As I mentioned in another comment here if anyone ever offers me to review an item maybe a second on the way 😅 ear plugs ... I say watch my videos and partake if ya dare kinda... get the Tony treatment or feel free to ask someone else. I appreciate that many of you watch and enjoy and take time to write long comments. I'm at the point where you're talking about pillows. I have the Trekology one which has been great especially with a fleece jumper over it and the back of the air bed, and now I have the new Trekology Pro pillow, big improvement with nicer material and thicker, looking forward to my next camp to try it out.
The Aussies have their heavy canvas swags. There are a few out now that have quick pump up air poles. Too much to lug out into the hinterlands but the use is so easy I can't imagine setting up tents and tarps. One of the reasons I find the MLD bivy so attractive is ease of use. I'm a Philistine I know but setting up in a state park with a restroom and showers plus good cell reception for internet so I can watch your videos about real camping is my idea of camping!
Just the mental health attitude of getting outside and fresh air is best thing no matter where and if that entails watching me it can't be so bad lol I find myself watching movies or sometimes RU-vid when camping and its very relaxing and therapeutic 😊 happy camping The MLD is fab in its simplicity yet great design. I love it so much it may have held channel back as not too many search trikstar or duomid but many search Hilleberg and such like but I'll sacrifice views for great kit.... although I'm trying different things now to try to redress the situation slightly lol might attract a few newbies who see a guy in a tent and look at previous videos....or see me in a mid or ts or tarp in future and be encouraged to try something new and different. It is strange to think it was just one or two people in early days influenced me to what i am now in a large way. Kit wise that is. Thanks for watching as always
Looks like a cold one! Cosy tent though. I gave up on pillows. I just lie flat these days. The inflatable ones are not great. A squishy cloth one is marginally better. Doggos winter coat is amazing!
