*_That was the largest single piece of raw Granite I have seen slabbed._* Once it was cut down to manageable size pieces, they were much easier to work into final product. That is a beast of a saw and it had no problem cutting boulder into slabs. *_Cutting, grinding, polishing all done by experienced workers._*
What has determined the minimum thichness to which these blocks of granite can be sliced? 1. Maximizing the number of slices per block and achieving further economies through minimizing the grvity load on the building frame. 2. Minimizing the number of granite slices that fractured before they could be assembled into the curtain wall.
in a lot of jobs they are worn in in the western world hard hats and steel boots are just for insurance purposes and dont offer any real protection and can offer you a false sense of security if you think im wrong go to a building site and drop a brick from a 3rd or 4th floor )
I agree there is no way that copper chisels or a drill powered by an elephant or donkey on a treadmill could do this, they had power tools. but when archeologists found those artifacts, they knew they could not explain them away, so they either destroyed them or boxed them up and shipped them to museums basement.
I've seen as much Waste as I have good stone. They should find more ways to use as much of the material as possible. Sell the chunks and chips to craftspeople etc.
You can..very slow process and btw it’s not copper that cuts its the abrasive so bone, wood, rope can be used. Like sandpaper, it’s not the paper that cuts
It is very good to know. The largest block piece of concrete I saw on top of a shopping centre being cut was out of this world. The block piece was at twenty foot thick. The workmen used a diamond steel cutting wire which cut the block piece.Water was used as a coolant.
I've ran wire saws cutting 45ft of solid concrete to get hydro turbines out, and that wasn't the thickest they cut. We did another job thats stair case was installed in the 1800s , the Granite treads were 4meter by 60cm by 20cm .. We did another where the stair treads were a black diorite.. they arrived from China polished, and not what was specked.. so they were sent to a plant to be flamed.. several hundred square meters worth..
"Black granite" - which that appears to be - is not what a geologist calls granite. It might actually be gabbro, diabase or some other igneous rock. It's a generic term in construction materials.
Tidak Efisien bahan baku bro, masih banyak bahan baku yg dapat menjadi produck yang lebih. Boros bro kau, belum bisa menjadi contoh dan pabrik kau jorok. Masih jauh dari negaraku Indonedua❤.
The clothes are not apporopriate for the job,no safety shoes helmet, goggles, gloves. Why do South Asians likes to work in a very unsafe environment, and also why no ear plugs.
