I Expertly Repair Broken Fiat Tractor Wheel Axle Most Amazing Technique // Must Watch This Video #lexpertlyrepairbrokentractoraxle #Most amazing technique #pkdiscoveringtechnology #fiattractorwheelaxle
Some real engineering skill in this one, machine is clean and tools well kept. One piece of advice I would give is DON'T earth the weld through the lathe but directly on to the part, the arc will travel through bearings and eventually cause damage and failure. Good work.
So apparently you're not smart enough to know that there are different hardness of Steel and for all you know which you don't know that center pin could be harder than the original Steel. But we wouldn't expect you to understand that because you're lost in la-la land and think you're smarter than what you actually are
@@Robett-r4l 46 years in a machine shop. You're correct, I have no idea. Even if the center pin is of a harder steel, the parent metal that is remaining has been reduced by approximately 50% by boring a hole and threading the hole for the center pin. So now you have the same load applied to the hub, but now there is only 50% of the parent metal left to take the stress. Now it will break twice as fast under the same load. Also, threading something in a situation like this causes stress risers, which will be the origination of stress cracks and failure in the parent metal. These types of posts are just clickbait to get views. Have you ever noticed that you NEVER see the repaired part put in service??

Maybe he had the earth clamp on the tail stock 🤠 Perhaps he didn’t really drop the part on the bed when undoing the chuck. Maybe he didn’t really grind the face flat while the part was in a lathe! Perhaps he didn’t use the same threading tool for everything. There were definitely no stress fractures in that piece of previously sheared off bar used to effect the repair. I think his Expert status is intact. Personally I don’t know how anyone can weld in sandals
Dilapidated and dusty environment...nearly barefoot workers and fluttering clothes (easy pickup of kinematics), dirty machine and no protection of exposed sensitive parts. Kids out of school and forced to work, against the most basic norms...what future will this country have, ruled by those who keep the people poor and ignorant, just to ensure long life for political leaders?
Go to the previous video...they show the shop that forges complete units...welding is not the way to go...will be broken again, and soon, the way these guys operate their equipment! And, they are weld-happy, problem is there's seldom the proper weld prep and too few passes. Here, he machines most of his weld off the part! But, I suppose that here it's a given the part will not last long, as you get what you pay for...
Back in the old days us drag racers would narrow our rear ends and this is the EXACT method we used to shorten out axles. They held up to 2000 horse power and giant slicks without breaking. You have no clue what you are talking about other than your negative imagination. Art from Ohio
One turning tool does everything including threading !!!! Bet the thtreads are not to standard. Lathe slideways not covered up whilst welding, all the spatter going onto the slides. Looked a reasonable job in the end, wonder how long it will last. ?
The skill of this fellow is incredible. Do you know how hard it is to make an interference fit between a metal shaft and hole? This worker does it so matter-of-fact and gets it right first time! Unbelievable!
Usta çok özensiz kara düzen çalışıyor.Kaba talaş kaleminin açısı yanlış .yüksekliği yanlış.Kalemin ucu parçanın merkezinden yüksek.diş kaleminin açısı fazla ve fazla derin açıldığı için dişler döndü .Parçalar sıkı girmesi gerekirken çok boşluklu vidalandı içerideki vidanın mukavemete faydası yok.Ben bu tornacıya iş yaptırmazdım.
Gotta do what you gotta do I guess that was a 2”shaft that broke this might hold for a bit but will brake again like the other comet everything is overloaded there. But it’s not bad for what he has to work with.
Id say that would last, good job. Those vehicles take a beating. And they are doing this for the camera, wonder if they are doing things a certain way to save time.
