Extreme Heat across Greece 

On 8 June 2024, the Hellenic Red Cross activated its Simplified Early Action Protocol (EAP), funded by the IFRC Disaster Response Emergency Fund (IFRC-DREF), for Extreme Heat after the National Observatory of Athens forecasted dangerously high temperatures across Greece. This video highlights the proactive efforts of the Hellenic Red Cross, demonstrating how early action ahead of the heatwave's peak ensures that vulnerable individuals receive the necessary information and assistance to stay safe. Anticipatory action not only saves lives but also protects the health of those most at risk.
