Extreme Ikea LÄTT Makeover. This week I rescued and recycled the Ikea LÄTT table and chairs. This had been damaged from the rain. I recycled it by replacing the MDF top and I gave the table a boho / cottagecore style paint job. I hope you get some inspiration from this upcycle. So my kids Ikea table can be rescue!!!! AWWWW!!! :D Thank you God and THANK YOU Catherine! I swear I thought there was nothing I could do to save my kids table from all the scratches and the painting everywhere! But you showed us: YES! I absolutely love that you save things from the "skip".❤ I also love that you wear aprons to work in. I'm totally obsessed with aprons. So here's a project I do that you might want to try, turn an old dress into a bib apron. Halter or sundresses are the easiest. I get them from the thrift shop on half price day. Very simple, you just cut away the back part of the dress, hemming around all the raw cuts. Use the back fabric to make the waist ties. Fun and can even be done "no-sew". I've also used skirts for half aprons. I love to make pot holder/dish towel aprons for the little one. Teach them early. Enjoyed this project. Have a lovely day.

Good woman yourself Katherine. Great job rescuing that. I was up your part of the country yesterday - ended up in a pub!!! Had lovely dinner too. I saw the newspapers at the weekend saying that the pubs were as full as if it were the all Ireland. Which was an awful kick in the teeth for the frontline workers in fairness. Thankfully the one we went to yesterday (me with my 7up!) was just busy enough that they could still keep people apart. If I had time I'd have been trying to hook up with ya. Would have been great to meet this lovely youtuber that I've been following and sharing videos of for an age - I'd have bought ya a big pint. Maybe next time.

Well done Catherine and a great attitude to the throw away tendency we sometimes are guilty of. My mission in lockdown has been to empty my house of all the stuff I no longer want, like or need. I have dione it methoedically, room by room and have listed absolutely EVERYTHING on Ebay and I mean EVERYTHING - so far I have made over £1,000 in less thatn 90 days and am well on my way to making it to my second grand. Best of all though, my house is not longer full of stuff- I even have EMPTY drawers!!!!!

I bought that same set (minus a chair) at a yard sale for $2 years ago when my boys were little. It was still in good condition. I painted it a bright blue that was an "oops" color from the paint store and put cute little animal decals on it from the dollar store. All in all I probably had $5 into it (found a little stool I painted to match to replace the one chair). My children loved it, ate at it, played at it and it is one of my cherished memories.

This is so pretty, I don't have little ones anymore as they are all grown up so are the grandchildren but it still helps to see what can be done to other pieces of furniture. Well done Catherine.

It’d also be cute to cut holes in the seats for flower pots and make a planter for the table top, paint it all with weather proof paint and have a lovely little planter scene on the porch.

I absolutely agree with you - inexpensive does not mean disposable. We don't have IKEA here in South Africa so that kind of tiny tot furniture us quite expensive. Luckily my husband made the kids tiny tot stuff when they were small, including a kitchen. Enjoy your cheeky pint!

yeah. my hubby works in a hotel bar and he is the main one to collect info of those coming into eat at the bar etc. just in case there is someone that is in contact while in at the same time and same closeness as that person. Its definitely different and yep reservations are best, and last i heard its hr and half, so yeah 90 mins. He said right now he is glad that he isn't behind the bar like he usually is. lol So enjoy your night out!....finally :) Also great redo!!!
