Without a perfectly worn front tire, lighter riders can getbintoba speed wobble at a lower speed than a heavy dude. I am a small guy, and my bike will wobble if I sit up straight, but it stops instantly when I lay down on the tank. I can even speed up once I lay on the tank. I picked up a car rotor in my napsack and ripped down the highway, the bike didn't come close to wobbling with a mere 20 more pounds. Loose steering head bearing, worn tire, bent front forks, or even having one fork slightly lower from imperfect installation can all cause the death wobble. Light fingers on the bars and get low.

Yes it was explained. Death wobble "just happens." It just does. And the best way to handle it is to let go of the handlebars until you slow down enough to regain control. What part of that do you not understand?

@@stevemackenzie8250lots of bikes in mint condition do the death wobble. Especially bikes from the 1970's and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with worn parts. I know because I rode bikes daily for 11 years.

it doesn’t happen “for no reason”. I’ve ridden over well 200 000 miles and never had one tank slapper. I ride fast and hard. It’s usually rider error, poor road conditions or shit equipment that cause it. There are these things called steering dampers that are designed to prevent exactly this. To say it happens for no reason is a retarded statement.
