I agree with Emma’s definition of Christian nationalism! The church has been reticent when it comes to holiness and righteousness. Emma keeps hitting the nail on the head! Right on Sam. The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Does the leader we want possess the fear of the Lord? Great discussion!
As an American Larry perfectly laid out what our concerns are here politically. The govt is trying to punish those who do not bow down and agree with some ungodly things.
Hi, We work with a lot of refugees, orphans, widows etc... If we waited until everything was perfect at home before we help them, we would be waiting a long time. I believe that we have a biblical mandate from God to help the alien and the widow no matter what and that our nation will be blessed for doing so, not waiting for the blessing and then helping. Leviticus 19:33-34. The example of this is the widow at the time of Elijah that gave away her last bit of bread. I am also very saddened when I see refugees, especially women and children who are trying to escape war and drug cartels, labeled as migrants and criminals. The human mind can make so many excuses for not loving, but love is a higher law and it also never fails.
Agree with larry about upholding kingdom values in your country but very wise on separating flesh from spirit plus you have to remember we have freewill some have so much passion in there belief they blow themselves up
There are many Americans who do not define "America first" as Larry does. I am an American and have met many people (often Christians) who do not understand the importance of coming to the aid of others. (I understand that some want to overspend, etc., and other things that are not wise.)
I have to also say this, as a person had an abortion and was a street person before I was saved. There were well meaning people in the church that maid me feel that abortion was the worst sin in the whole world. I did not feel that I could attend church as a result. Is abortion though a worse sin that religious self-righteousness? I really really found that witnessing to people, it is best to tell them about the ten commandments and leave it at that when talking about sin. People in the world already know that they are doing something wrong morally and don't need us to tell them. The church today points a finger at the world and says look what those awful people in the world are doing. I believe that a harlot spirit comes into a nation when the church compromises with the world as far as material comfort and gain, Hosea 4
This conversation is fire! Side note about 20:35. Why are so many christian leaders using the grek term ekklesia instead of using the english word church/fellowship/congregation? Feels like it has become almost like a unnecessary buzzword that fills no real usage other then throwing around some koine greek. Is there something I missed? :-)
