*Extreme rare!!* Lockheed L1011 Tristar [KC-1] || Royal Air Force || Landing @ Amsterdam Schiphol 

Last of a breed! This is the airplane that sparked my extreme passion for aviation. I'll never forget when as a young tot, I was taken to meet my mom at the airport where she worked, and I saw this magnificent beauty docked in the main hanger of my local airport! It was about dusk and there she stood looking all stately and otherworldly, flanked by her recognition lights and proudly bearing our airline's livery illuminated by her logo lights. She looked like she was about to take off bound for another galaxy! I never, ever lost the bug that burrowed it's way into my heart that evening. Thanks soo much for uploading this...cheers!

First aircraft I flew on. 12 years old on a school ski trip. Caledonian. I was a very lucky boy and it was the best part of the trip.

the plane was amazing if onyl it wasnt for airbus, the dc10 and lockheed poor busines decisions it would have been a very succesful plane
