I like that you said GOOD moms .. it’s true!! Have just purchased a new home and started looking through your inspirational body of work… Wow, and like your mum this one in particular bought tears to my eyes. A beautiful gift to herald in a new adventure for your mums retirement. A room full of memories and love and a private and quiet space of her own. In fact I can see her at her desk, busy making plans and your dad trying hard to concentrate but drifting off to sleep on the guest bed. Loved to IKEA bed/reading nook. Kristen you have a real flair for this work. The appreciation from your parents, especially your mother is heartwarming. My only suggestion would be to add just a touch of a pattern/print in this room. Find a material to incorporate all the colours. Make a cover for one of the cushions from it. I'd also add a band of say 4'"--5" of the pattern across the bottom of the drapes, about 12" from the floor. Love, love, love the chest by the way.

I've watched about 5-7 of your videos...I'm hooked! Your personality is adorable and you are so kind working with your sweet parents. I love that they support you...you are a true decorator and I love that you watch the spending and are realistic with your "hauls", as most folks aren't all about spending their money are decorating. i've been so eager to see this finished makeover and it was totally worth the wait, the new room is absolutely gorgeous i love the way the colors go together and how the old dresser matches so perfectly with the modern-looking style, super nice color choices too it's stunning, and your mother's reaction was so wonderful i found myself tearing up with her, what a nice little series and a wonderful new room!!

The final product was breathtaking. You really brought the room to life and judging by your Mom’s reaction, all your hard work was all worth it. I really liked the idea of the vision board. I feel that would really help seeing all the items and how they work together. Also you really make me want to go to IKEA.... I have never been to one, since they don’t have any in New Hampshire. Again GREAT job Kristen! 🎉

Kristen, you are truly amazing. I noticed that your Mom's cast even matched the beautiful (I can't remember the name of the color) wall. I would have been so afraid to try a color so dark in such a small room but it is perfect. I just found you, and I've finished viewing the bathroom you redid and also the living room you did for your sister. I wish you could come and redo my place. You have a wonderful talent, young lady, keep up the awesome work.
