I loooooooove color so the wallpaper is everything to me. The only thing I think "doesn't go" is the bamboo shelf. I get trying to bring in a natural element, but with the wall paper and the mirror, you needed a round shelf to mimic the curves this room has taken on. It's a gorgeous makeover.

Look if Owner, Doesn't like it then paint the shelving or Replace it!! Rather Simple fix... However, it Looks Good !!... That painting brought it ALL Together, Beautifully Especially with those Colored Teardrops falling off the lashes. which is so Cute 🥰...... Oh ; by the way, isn't Bamboo; Always a neutral in design athletics..... Especially, In Bohemian Design it Diffinately Is A Neutral...

Love you, love your videos! Hot tip: use painters tape to make straight lines where your caulk is going to go. Then when you caulk and run your finger down peel the tape off right away and you’ll have perfect caulk lines.

And put soap on your finger ; it makes it slide and not clump together :) also, always practice these things before trying it on the real thing! :)

Not sure why she didn't just paper the whole room and omit the cheap peel and stick tile and messy caulk job. It really detracts from the elegance of the wall, mirror and fixture. Also agree on switching out the bamboo shelf. I love an eclectic look but this shelf was a miss for me.

When I first saw the wallpaper, I was thinking it was going to be too bold but once again, Alexandra was right! It's so pretty and wild and still soft. Love it and love the makeover.

Seemed like a lot of different styles going on at once, but then the art work made it all come together somehow. It feels like early 1960s . . . like something out of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I really love this makeover, especially the wallpaper and that incredible mirror! The tile is just enough of a touch in that small space. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the bamboo shelf. I would like to have seen an art deco piece or something in a simple Scandinavian design, but the room looks incredible! Btw, my favorite ThredUp pieces are the shoes, the peplum blouse, and the sherpa vest. So cute. I liked the dress, but it's a little too short. I would like it with leggings or tights.

Love the powder room especially the wallpaper. FYI Never use your finger for caulking, it increases the chance of mould. Spray it with soapy water while still wet and use a clean icy pole stick to smooth it down.

What a fun wallpaper! Love that all the utilitarian items had a fun shape to them too! I disagree with other commenters on the shelf, it does go with the bathroom it is not a square or rectangle box, it has curves to it and it is across the room from mirror and light fixture. But what is more important is that the Condo owner liked the whole space!

Beautiful colors and simple accents that really made an impact! Your execution on the wallpaper, tile and caulking was a little sloppy though, which surprised me! Really pay attention to those top edges and seams at the ceiling, make sure they are smooth and crisp! And dip your figner in soapy water when removing the caulking, and use painters tape to make a straight edge. The combo will make the caulking perfect every time.

I personally have spaces where I have gone bold and others where I have a more serene vibe, but a small powder room is a perfect foil for going bold and crazy. My best friend has a powder room under the main staircase in the entrance hall and it is a perfect tiny jewel of a room.

Another tip for calking. Masking tape the far edge, because it will come out cleaner that way.

I'm obsessed😍 The mirror with the wallpaper👌🏻 I only wish that the light color in this room was white or just brighter. And also I think the shelf wasn't really going with the vibe. I thought it gonna work if you brought something else with this vibe to the place but you didn't. Maybe if it was white it could go with the basket. But I really like the overall idea and look of this space!!! ❤❤❤

That wallpaper is so gorgeous. The grout really does make a difference with the tile. Yay for hand soap being on wall! I see why curvy mirrors are popular. P.S. There was a recent Mr. Kate video in Hawaii where their two year-old painted their garage floor by smearing around a bunch of colors. The floor reminds me of this wallpaper!

Love that wallpaper. Edit- Although I would have skipped the tile behind sink, and just made it all wallpaper. I would have used peel and stick tile for the floor maybe. With a pink Persian rug. I would have put gloss black accents, like the shelves. And changed the faucet to dark gold. Kind of a 70's NYC 'All That Jazz' look.

Back in the wallpaper hey day, my mom hung wallpaper for a living. She would have covered those outlet covers to match the pattern of the paper which is a fun way to make them blend in.

Looks good!! I think i saw a TikTok video showing how to turn regular paper into “peel and stick”. You trim out the wall with painters tape and then you put the tape down the wall where the width will be for each panel. Once you do that then you put the double sided tape on top of the painters tape and slowly peel back small sections as you work down. That way when you move out, you can take the wallpaper off, then pull up from the painters tape with no damage! I haven’t tried it yet but will be when I move :)

9:36 if you want to get a smooth, shiny finish while using CAULKING...dip your finger in a cup of water and slide your finger over the pasted line down. It leaves a beautiful finish and keeps your fingertip clean as well. That's the way Professional (kitchen/bathroom) Installers use and apply Caulking here in The Netherlands 🇳🇱✌🏻😊

Hot tip to keep bugs out of your light like that one. I put cling wrap all the way across just under the lip so any bugs can't go down inside

Everything in this makeover is beautiful! The only thing I would change is the shelf. The one you chose is so pretty, but the style of it isn't cohesive to the space and I would have loved to see a funky shaped or colored shelf in its place. One that didn't overpower the wallpaper, but complimented it and the mirror. Seriously, you guys did an amazing job with this makeover! I love the boldness, Alexandra! (:

It looks great - that wallpaper is so pretty. Peel-and-stick everything leaves me uneasy because it just seems like a whole lot of plastic and waste, from the peel-off backing to the products themselves which are often plastic and designed to be used for more short-term situations. If someone can come up with an eco-friendly temporary tile/wallpaper (or even a glue, to make traditional products more removable), they'd be legends,.

The 90s style wallpaper is not my personal preference (which is fine because it's not my room), but I do like how much brighter and bigger the room looks. I also really love the light and loo roll holder.

You can start the tiles in the middle and cut it where it meets the wall so it’s flush.

I'm very happy that you went with that cool artwork with the tears cause I think it didn't really go well with the line drawing. This one has strong pop art 1960s vibes and the line drawing while the black is kinda neutral, didn't fit that same art style. And that the art print and the wallpaper look like they were made for each other, I don't even have to mention, right? I also love that art print with the mirror cause I feel like it really fits the same modern kinda feels. I think the sometimes it's really fun to mix and match art styles and vibes and I'm generally always a fan of eclectic, but it's also really nice when things just compliment each other especially in such a small space. Just really fun and lovely and I feel like if you have guests they'll go to the bathroom and come back and always compliment you like it's almost a conversation piece.
